Lowes in Tampa, Florida - Poor Installation and poorcustomer service

I spent $1300. for porch blinds. from W.Waters Tampa Location. First the blind store expert mixed up my whole order between loop chains & wands for the same 5 panel install. Paid them on May 27 2015 blinds came for the install a month later. Found out the order was all wrong & the manufacturer Coolaroo sent 3 different colored types of hardware. Ugh! Waited another month. Blinds come in but they send an installer who showed up at night in the dark for the install. I had to give him Sergio T. a flashlight for installation being it was a backyard screen enclosure.He couldnt finish the job that night so I had to wait another 3 full weeks for them to come back.Another problem arose. chain hardware to pull the blinds up and down falling apart. The installer does not fix it. He says call Lowes back. Here I am 3 months later now waiting for W. Waters Tampa Lowes to put in a repair order.Don't know how many more months I have to wait to have working blinds. I'm ready to call the credit card company to dispute the whole order. Lowes I give a poor service rating. I will think about Home Depot next time I have a big service job.

ordered a fridge and a gas range. told lowes i needed it to be there 1-5. XPO calls and tells me 7-9. problem is..its a new house. I dont live here yet, I don't live in the city yet.. And I already took off work (losing $$ of course ) so that I could receive the delivery .. they would not budge on the 7 to 9. fine. what happens? i get a call saying that I wont be getting it at all tonight. but I can get them friday (hunh?() they say that even though its before 9pm the driver passed the time DOT allows truckers to be on the road or something. Why in the *** would they create a window so late or allow the route to be so unorganized . yea thats my story. i dont know whether or not to blame Lowes... btw XPO has about negative 5 stars on Yelp. why would Lowes keep on using them? oh.. nobody cares. . I Let them reschedule me for Saturday morning - but after reading other reviews, im disgusted and I dont believe them. may jusy cancel the order.checking out sears now

I purchased a refrigerator (to be referred to as "item" here-forth) from the Bolingbrook store in IL and have encountered so many issues that I am surprised Lowes is still in business! The following are all of the problems I had to endure: 1. I purchased the item on Aug 1st and was told by the sales person that it would be delivered within 7-10 days and I didn't have it in my possession until this morning, Aug 17th, 17 days later. 2. I had been very specific, since I was told by Lowes that my item would be delivered on Aug 16th (day prior to actual delivery), that I would not be available on the morning of the 16th but rather in the evening and they stated that they would communicate that to the delivery company. Despite that fact, the delivery company attempted to deliver in the morning. I had to call Steve the store manager multiple times to sort this out on the 16th however he was unable to persuade the delivery company to deliver on the promised date. I was however, credited $50 and promised the first delivery the next day (Aug 17th) for the inconvenience, which I do appreciate. 3. The following day the item arrived first thing in the morning as promised and the delivery guys were very polite. However once they left I had noticed that one of the fridge doors were installed in a manner where one of the doors was taller than the other. I called the Lowes Store once again and spoke to a store manager, Samanthia, to see if she could have somebody come take a look at fixing the doors. When I asked for the GM's number she told me that I should wait until she tries to solve the issue before escalating,which I was naive enough to accept. I should have known better. Well the manager never called me back and now I found out that the ice maker was leaking. So I called the next day, Aug 18th, and got a hold of another store manager named John. It was very apparent that none of the managers talk to each other, keep logs of daily store event, or do any type of shift hand off. John had to call me back so he can figure out what was going on, since he was so confused and uninformed. He finally called me back and stated that he would have a brand new fridge delivered the next day and take another $50 off. At this point, I had to take Monday off and now I'd have to take Wednesday off and spending all this time off was costing me a lot of money. I was furious at this point and told John that he would have to do better. So he finally agreed to credit another $198 (odd number) and I agreed. At the end of the day l, they are fixing the issue but this is definitely the worst service I have ever received! I have purchased refrigerators before and it was not anywhere near as difficult as my experience with Lowes. I wasted my work Paid Time Off and hours of my life on the phone between Lowes and XPO delivery; hours I can't get back and shouldn't have spent. On top of that I even contacted Corporate and they never bother to contact me back regarding this.... John, the last manager, is the only on who did his job and he's the assistant manager on top of that...this probably means that he should be promoted and replace one of the other managers that attempted to assist me. I am military veteran of eight faithful years of service to my country and do not appreciate being treated this way.

I'm a disabled vet. I was denied the ten percent discount at check out. I left after paying full price for the items I called customer service and they got me the discount.. however.. when I went back into the store the lady who originally denied me the discount stormed over sayingi checked your Id your not disabled what's wrong with you anyway.. I felt like I was in war all over again pinned down receiving fire and just exhausted out of ammo and not want I g to go through it.. the nice lady at the customer service did her best to explain what had happened and why I receive the discount but what was the front end manager continued to attack me as she pounded the refund into the computer. When she was done double tapping me in the skull she simply stepped passed my beaten corps and continued on the war path... can Lowes please educate the employees on the discount policy.. vets get ten percent during holidays disabled vets get ten percent always. Now once I was done getting attacked I looked at the customer service rep smiled and said wow she's a real nice lady. She smiled back and apologised for what I had just gone through. I told her it wasn't her that should be apologising . I left called the customer service line again filed a complaint and haven't heard back from anyone thanks Lowes for caring about our vets ( sarcasticly) please help your staff to know that not all disabled people are visibly disabled

My 90 year old grandparents purchased a $11,700 Tin Roof! Erica Woodward-Ford was the sales rep from Lowes on Laurinburg NC. She never followed up to see if the job was complete! She avoided my grandpa when he realized the job was not complete and went to the store looking for her! The installers lied to my grandparents telling them the job was complete and it wasn't! They installed a new roof left all the rotten facia board and broken soffit hanging from the sides! It looks horrible! I have been contacting Lowes for over 3 months. Everyone knows about this issue from the managers at Laurinburg all the way to the CEO! The last response I received was they was going to try and charge them more for something that should have been done! My grandparents are facing age discrimination by lowes and taken advantage of!

Did your parents pay for new soffit and facia? Normally a new roof is just that, the materials on top of the house.

If they contracted for soffit and facia it would say so on the contract.

If soffit and facia are not on the contract Lowes would be correct in asking for more money to replace them as well. My guess, by the price they paid, they just bought roofing.

If there is an issue with the tin roof your pictures fail to show it. Included pictures show problems with the fascia and soffit panels.

Normally, a re-roof job will not include those items unless specified and requested by the customer and likely performed by a different craftsman than the roofer and at additional cost. It appears that the reviewer does not fully understand the issue at hand and unfortunately is causing himself unnecessary anguish.

Unfortunately you are really going after the wrong people. You actually are stuck in the middle between Lowe's and the company they subcontracted to install the roof.

Lowe's doesn't actually install anything they just get the job, quote you a price, the sub contract it out to whatever company is willing to do the work and make less then half of what they would normally make. Lowe's keeps 50% of the money off the top for doing nothing but selling the job. Then the poor desperate roofer gets to do a job for half the profit he normally would. If the job was for attaching metal roofing, that is what they did.

They aren't going to go out of their way to do anything else that isn't specified on the work order. Why would they if they are already going broke doing work for Lowe's? This is how it works with any installations done by Lowe's or Home depot. The people that do the work are not employees of those companies, but desperate contractors that are getting paid a lot less to do the job than they should be getting.

So why should they care how well it gets done? And most unfortunately for you, the store personnel have no control or recourse to correct this problem.

Don't accept the job if you are not going to do it correct! They know the price before they accept the job!

They have obligation to themselves and the consumer to do the job correctly!

I don't accept excuses for laziness and subpar work! However I am going after everybody and as of yesterday they are going to fix everything 100% in two days..so once I see it complete then I will update!

Many people are in denial, and are not affected by racism, that is a given, these individuals probably do not care anyway. Someone whom is a victim of it, will look for it, because they need to avoid it in order to maintain respect, dignity, and success, credit for their work. Don't expect to get the same credit, treatment or familiarity, lowe's workers share if they are white. Not to say, i am extremely social, that is not detriment to treating people fairly. I was slandered, stalked by police, framed, insulted on numerous occasions weekly for avoiding people. I am a minority, i was one of the few they keep around because Lowe's employs a quota. On a range of 50-200 employees for larger stores you will see a disproportionate number of minorities. Also when one leave, the hire rate is 100%, and drops back to 0% or close. Why?, because its a quota, while i have had many come and ask how i was hired there, who are minorities. I have had the companies values extend to my personal life and force me to quit, force me out of school, force me into submission by a agency that protects lowe's interests "Big'ol'gov'ena". I am now having blacklisting problems for medical care and job seeking in the area because i spoke about race, filed wokers compensation. The govrnment is supporting, endorsing white supremacy, and hate crime outside of legal bounds "extrajudicially", and plenty of privileged 1st class citizens jump at the opportunity to make a example out of a "minority". I have been called a number of things, and inside jokes between employees, this is suburbia, the rural areas that are the worst. The minority population is small and the KKK Dragon, headmasters live only 5 miles from the town, two in fact. This is New York, and when you complain about hate crime, to the point of confederate flags outside your home, before your forced to quit, NYS does nothing. It is a predominately white, italian area and a long list of white collar crime runs out of here under blindfolds. From 2012-ongoing, a form of illegal surveillance continues on behalf of the company, in order to discriminate and protect the company's interests. This involves defraud schemes set up to harass employees of color out of work. When i was forced to quit, and came back to the store shortly after, not on of the individuals i beleived to be involved would even look my direction or speak to me. This is a coy game of putting up the front, that they support equality, peoples personal interests are severely in the way of corporate policy. Most prejudice, employees, people in general, do not want to talk, hear, or see the perspective of a minority on racism. What they all share in common is, never having someone hold back your success, progress, options based on race, color, experience, and further add on the the list of stigma's by preventing your success. Many minorities are still and barely competitive "financially" and have been more concerned about a happy life. When you need a job, and every store, location, town and region is hiring you only on the basis that they have a quota to fill, the other employees know this. Customers know it, they see minorities as uneducated and complain about coming from poverty or segregated interests with whites who flee the minute "minority", becomes majority. I have a federal case for gross discrimination against Lowe's, i expect to see injustice and to be ignored for various reasons. The game being played is always, "i lived better, know more, or have more experience", therefore, you cannot question my opinion as a white citizen, manager,lawyer,ect. We all know what is right and wrong, problem is, most white citizens are willing to do wrong and injustice to minority groups, because its the behavior they thrive off of. Dishonesty, misleading business, holding evidence, truth, capitalism, extortion, inflation, price gouging, politicking, and using social conversation for levying interests. Who can a poor person compete, when they just want food on the table and move to a better job. The list goes on......its called suffrage and its thrown in our faces. My court date is still MIA, everything else seems to be severely put on hold, even medical care if interfered with.
