Lowe's is NOT dependable! | Lowes review from Greensburg, Pennsylvania

In Feburary, 2019 I paid Lowe's for new carpeting. Several weeks later, they sent out a very dirty and unkempt crew to install it. The crew did a very poor job of installation, leaving noticeable seams and ragged edges. One of the installers ruined my vacuum cleaner by overfilling it. When I complained, Lowe's promised to redo the carpeting and let me choose another. In the meantime, problems came up between Lowe's and their installers, (United Installers). This has continued for over 5 months, and they still have not installed my carpeting. Lowe's told me that they will contact me as soon as they have new installers, which should have occurred 10 days ago, but no word as of now. Don't buy carpeting from Lowe's!!!!!!!

They aren't just going to send you shelves. If this is a warranty issue contact the manufacturer. If not go to an appliance parts store and order new ones.

Our microwave oven quit working. On the first service date I took vacation time to be home. The first repair source cancelled and didn't inform me. After learning this I called Lowes receiving another repair date. I called this repair source. This source told me I was not on their schedule that day but another day. A BIG WASTE OF MONEY!! WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

They didn't steal your money. Manufactures of power equipment won't take it back from the stores as far to many consumers cause the problems they are having.

The manufacturers back their products with a warranty that will repair defective equipment at a service center. Take it to the service center and it will be repaired at no charge to you if it is actually defective. If the problem was caused by you (didn't put oil in it, used stale fuel, etc..) you will be charged. Don't blame the store for the problems consumers have caused by abusing return policies.

You will find this policy at most big box stores.

Your alternative is to go to a servicing dealer who will set the equipment up for you and show you how to start it and have it running before you leave their shop. Unfortunately you probably aren't willing to pay a little more for the service these dealers provide.

I replaced the two toilets in my mom's house as she wanted to have a higher seat since she is getting older. Purchased them at Lowe's as she wanted to use her Lowe's card. (Lowe's pretty much dominates the market here as it's a small town--there aren't many options)...

Okay, how is this a complaint against Lowe's? Lowe's did not manufacture the toilet.

And Lowe's did not install the toilet.

So how do we know that it's not something that you did wrong and installation? I don't understand how you're digging Lowe's for a bad toilet?

Have you paid them for the fence? If you haven't hear from them since you got the estimate it sounds like you haven't actually ordered and paid for the fence yet. They won't order or deliver materials till the fence is paid for.

Brand new 8’ sliding glass door and frame, $2300. it has never worked right. Got put off for weeks by the salesman. Called the store manager who sent the original installer out.. he thought it was fine...of course he wouldn’t admit a mistake. A 4’ door only opens about a foot then hangs up. The screen doesn’t match up enough to lock it. Doesn’t sound right to me. Never buying anything major from Lowe’s again.

I'd consider myself lucky. Skip the vinyl fence and go to wood.

Stop and think about what happens 5 years down the road if some of the panels get damage in some way.

What are the chances that you will be able to get replacement panels to match the rest of your fence. Wood can always be crafted to make a matching panel, not so with vinyl.
