I was in Lowes in Belmont NC this morning around 9-10am (sunday sept 4). I putchased an in cupboard trashcan assembly, a sheet pan organizer and one other item the total came to right around $140.00 and I planned on using a gift card from my father in law for a new house we just bought.
i have never used a gift card before and was in self checkout (all that was open), i asked for help. The cashier took care of everything else (even my military discount). She then tells me that there is no money on the card? I had just called before i arrived and there was $50??
I asked to speak to customer service and they to tell me they cannot help me since the card was purchased at the Denver NC Lowes by my Father in law, i even has the gift receipt. I was told that I need to go to the Denver store to get the answer?? I asked to speak to customer service, I was told by Jennifer that i was wrong and that I needed to call the card company and I had to prove I was right? I then spoke to Berry, the store mgr and he too said he could do nothing and that I need to call the # on the back (800-445-****) I called the card company and they told me the card had been used at the Belmont Lowes right when I was there???
It gets worse, i have spent 2 trips (i live 20 miles from any Lowes) and 3 hours in Lowes trying to get the 50 that was stolen from me!! Now granted I did finally get a gift card for $50, however, I was told that "he didn't have time to get to the bottom of it"...he certainly didn't mind wasting MY time thats for sure!!! I feel dirty and accused of nefarious activities? I STILL have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA where my $50 went and I certainly do not think it was handled very well at all and I definitely feel accused and I didn't do a thing except do the job of a checkout employee??
While, I would love to crash on Berry, Jennifer and then finally knucklehead "aint got time", in the end, while accusatory, they were polite?? Not sure if I'm still a fan??

I purchased one expensive demo hammer on one day and another of the same tool on a later day.
The manufacture warranty was expired so both tools broke down and I returned them to the store on the extended warranty.
I was told that the warranty company would handle it and Lowes said they will give us a electronic gift card. The rest of the story is a joke and I am stuck with two very expensive tools that dont work.
Both in $700 range.
I called warranty company and all employees are some kind of Indian accent nobody that speaks English can understand. Lowes keeps blowing me off in the warranty companys direction.
What a huge rip off.
At the end of the review I am doing you have to check a box that states I have read and to the PISSED consumer. Lol

Preferred solution: Fix it! Hire cashiers, you are still charging me the same prices, and want me to do the cashiers job?!?!

I tried to receive money back for windows that didn’t fit
I ordered some windows from Lowes. I had to wait about two months for them to arrive.
Once they were brought to my house the installation company said someone mismeasured my window openings.
I said take the windows back. I didnt wish to have anything to do with Lowes anymore after the windows were mid- measured and not able to fit into my windows.
Then, I contacted the Lowes customer service by phone. The representative said that a person will call you back about the mis-measured windows.
Someone from Lowes never called me back, so I had to drive to the closest Lowes store.
I asked a salesman in the window section that I wanted to get my money returned for partial payment of my windows.
The salesman wouldnt help me; however, he got the manager online to help me. I told the manager that the windows that were brought to my house were not measured correctly and that I wanted my money back.
The manager said that he would charge me a 20 percent restocking fee.
But, I said why would he do that since I was not at fault.
I didnt mis-measure the windows.
I had to scream and shout into the phone receiver and call the manager a liar many times, then he relented and said that he would give my the $3,000 back to me for my first payments for the windows.
Never, Never buy Large Payment items from Lowes.
The manager that I talked to was abusive towards me and extremely aggressive.
I should never have had to shout and scream in the phone at him. Maybe the managers at Lowes derive a perverse pleasure from antagonizing their customers.

Third no show for dryer delivery
Was done very bad. Missy at Lowes was great. Manager was very bad
I had a very bad experience with Lowes
I had them designed my kitchen. And the guy was unable to do what was designed by Lowes I was told my cabinets were wood and they wasnt.
I was told they were in stock and I would have them in in a week. It took almost 3 months. The cabinets were damaged.
It took a long time to get my granite counter top My microwave was damaged had to send it back We went through so much to get this done I literally called Lowes 20 times Missy at Lowes in Dalton try to do what she could. But Samantha and Billy gave me the run around.
Very poor management.
They Gave me a Credit for $300 back after I had to call so many times
I spent around $6,000 to get everything for my kitchen. So no I dont think I was done right

I agree with you! Lowe's customer service is a disgrace! Soon they will be out of business and they will not have to respond to the complains about their sorry, customer service!!
