FENCE INSTALLATION DONE BY LAZY UNPROFESSIONAL LOWES

I just used Lowes to install my vinyl fence. Nothing was done correctly. This is just a very small example of the unprofessional way my fence was put up. Wrong fenced delivery twice and then on the installation day the wrong posts were delivered. The fence was not level (had to tell him to level it), dirt all in the grass and big gaps on the fence line and the best part, THEY PUT FAST DRYING CEMENT IN THE POST HOLES AND DID NOT ADD ANY WATER THEY ARE WAITING FOR IT TO RAIN. so now I will have just chunks of cement as it rained but just a little. Would you install a fence at your house like that Lowes? A very Lazy not professional work done by the Lowes in Holmdel, NJ. Sorry I ever called them.

2nd bad service situation with Lowe' s Delivery

About this time last year, I had an awful experience with Lowe's and with their delivery company. My refrigerator was supposed to be delivered between 12 - 4 and they got there at 9:00 pm. They took my refrigerator out and set up my new one, which had a huge ding in the stainless steel. When I pointed it out to them they said it was not a problem, they would replace the door later. When finished with the installation, they did not go over much with me on what to expect with the ice maker, water, etc, they just wanted out of my home. After 4 hours, no ice, after 8 hours no ice. Spoke with my Lowe's store who said they would send me another refrigerator, which they did and everything ended up ok - after several days, no ice and water during the Thanksgiving weekend! But the Marietta Lowe's did step up to the plate and got everything taken care of after a week!! Enter situation # 2 with Lowe's. I sold a home with a new refrigerator from Lowe's in it (oh, no). The new refrigerator did not work. The delivery people did NOT EVEN SHOW UP for the first repair call, so we scheduled a 2nd one but they earliest they had was almost a week later. They were 2 hours late on the 2nd one, said it was a Freon leak which they could not fix, changed their mind and said they had to order a part which would take 2 weeks to get in. We contacted the manager of the CONYER's LOWE's, who was having a new refrigerator delivered on Sunday, September 18.They were calling on the night of the 17th to tell us when it would be delivered - NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN!! At 3:00 on the 18th, when we had not heard from Lowe's STILL, we found out they sold the one slated for our delivery and it would now be the 22nd before they could get us another one. Really, Lowe's? How horrible! There is a young Buyer in a home without a refrigerator at all and you expect him to wait 2 weeks to be able to have food and drinks in his house? Please SPREAD THE WORD that this company does not use reputable delivery people, they do not care about your inconvenience and you are not valuable to them in anyway except on the initial purchase! Once you have paid, you are DEAD TO THEM!!

today I went to the place I always go for building and repair products first off I needed a key copied. As expected no one was at the counter another customer arrived looking for Doorknobs. Security came by and noticed we were not being waited on and attempted to get help for us via the intercom - no one responded, so finally he attempted to help them himself-I waited and still no one came. I also needed a water filter- no one there.. I went to the office to find the store manager who told me all the personell had been sent to aid the hurricane victims in Louiseana, like I was *** enough to believe that. Lowes is no longer my store of choice. I spent an average of 200.00 a month in this store. I can turn left instead of right and spend my money at Home Depot. Jerry Proffitt Waxahachie TX

You're bragging about spending 2400 dollars a year anywhere? You really make sure you keep their lights on huh? Maybe instead of standing at a counter expecting someone to just magically appear try finding someone to assist you instead.

I mean what is a customer's favorite line when an employee gets an attitude? Who pays whoms wages? Sooo at what point do you have the idea that you as a customer have the right to complain about number of hired help at any retail establishment?

Guest

I though Lowes is a home improvement store.

Are you sure you are complaining about the correct store?

Arnie Lrr

Wait, Lowes sells mattresses now? Who knew.

Guest

This complaint does not make sense to me with some of the misspelled words. It is not a complete sentence.

What happened to using correct spelling and correct punctuation?

Is this a legitimate complaint or do you just want to rant?

The cashier has NO control over Lowes hiring policies.

Senior management does. So call them and complain to them instead of complaining to the cashier who has NO control over this.

Louisville lowes refuses to honor the low price guarantee policy

On Sept. 30, 2016, i bought one bag CEMEX Cement Mix (item number 364001) from Lakewood Lowes (10555 West Colfax Ave, Lakewood, CO) at $2.3/bag. Then i went to Louisville Lowes (1171 Dillon Rd, Louisville, CO) to buy the same product, they wanted to charge $9.5/bad, and refuse to honor the low price guarantee policy. Their excuse is that they bought that product at arougd $6/bag, so they can not sell that to me at $2.3/bag. However, I went to Westminster Lowes (5600 West 88th Ave, Westminster, CO), and they agreed to charge me $2.3/bag.

My husband and I were shopping for a refrigerator to replace the one we have in our garage. We went to Lowe's in Loveland, CO. We found one on clearance for $769.00. We then went to Home Depot compared and returned to Lowe's where a sales woman helped us. After searching the computer for 20 minutes she called "Dave" who informed us that it was incorrectly marked and would be $1,000. Boy, I wish we would have been told that the first time we visited the store and saved us 2 hours. Next time, we will drive right on passed your store and start with Home Depot. Sorry Dave.

3rd time lowes has been less than honest. Twice the advertised fence boards at a great price.

When I arrived at the store they stated it was incorrect and wanted another dollar a board. Today it was a fence panel. One price at one store and a different much higher price at a store 5 miles away. What a crock.

Lowe price guarantee my hinny. They can't even match their own stores.

Lowes would have matched the price.Thats how they did a washer/dryer combo i pictured.

Bad warranty response on Allen & Roth Granite counters

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We purchased our granite countertops 5 years ago through Lowes. About a year ago we notice a large crack from one edge to almost the other edge.

We called Lowes because we were told we had a 10 year warranty. We talked to the assistant manager of the store who told us he would contact the company. It took a few months (even though we called regularly) to get a rep. from the company to come look at it.

He agreed that it must be a installation problem. We never put hot pots or anything hot in this area, in fact it is not anywhere near the stove either. He said he would let them know and someone would get back to us.

Never heard from them.

Avoid purchasing Allen & Roth Granite countertops from Lowe’s. We had ours for 2 years and 3montha and have a crack that keeps growing and Sage Surfaces (Allen & Roth) refuse to fix it.

Even the installer is not sure how to fix it since the opening is too small for resin. Thought I got my dream kitchen and Lowe’s made it a nightmare!

Recent Purchase at Billings Montana Lowes

After today, if there were any way to give negative stars to the Billings, Montana Lowe's store-- I would!! On June 30, I contacted the Appliance Department at Lowe's about purchasing a GE Washer and Drier set that were on sale. I spoke with a customer representative, who seemed to be quite knowledgeable. I decided to purchase both items for the sale price of $359 each; which was a total of $718. I then informed the customer representative that I would not be able to pick up the items until after the July 4th weekend in which he reassured me that there were several of these washer and driers in stock and he would mark one each as sold for me and be ready for pickup on July 12 when I told him I would be in. Please realize that I have to travel 120 miles one way to pick these items up. This afternoon (July 12), I arrived at the Billings Lowe's store for my pickup. I immediately went to the customer service desk to inform them that I was available for the pickup. They took my receipt and asked me to wait at the pickup doors, which I did. I waited for over 20 minutes until one of the cashiers asked me if I needed any help. I explained my circumstance and she immediately placed a call to Customer Service. I then waited another 15 minutes for one of the pickup workers to ask me if I needed any help. I again explained my circumstance. He then placed a call to the Appliance Department with NO answer. He then called an Assistant Manager to come and talk to me. The Assistant Manager reviewed my situation and informed me that the Appliance Department representative was given the order to retrieve my washer and drier, but could not be reached in the store. He then informed me that he would get the items himself. The assistant manager returned about 5 minutes later to inform me that the GE Washing Machine was there, but the Drier was not in stock and was en-route via truck. I asked about why my June 30 purchase had not been marked as SOLD, and he said that apparently the Appliance customer representative FAILED TO DO HIS JOB. I was then given the assurance that once the drier arrived (4-7 days later), Lowe's would be willing to deliver both items to my home 120 miles away. HOWEVER, the delivery scheduler was unwilling to release a truck sooner than July 23 because of other deliveries IN TOWN. Needless to say, the best assurance I could get in regards to all of this is that I MIGHT get my items by July 23, but that was only contingent on the truck arriving in 4-7 days and IF the drier was even on the truck, AND then getting Lowe's to even deliver the items in a timely manner. Not much reassurance there!! So I was stuck in Billings with no items that I had previously PAID for and little reassurance that I would ever get my items in a timely manner. I then decided to go across the street to the Home Depot. I explained to them what happened and this was their solution: They sold me a GE Washer and Drier set that was one step up from the Lowe's set that I bought but never received. They matched the Lowe's price. And they gave me a set of hoses and a plug-in for the drier. So I left Billings with a new GE Washer and Drier set, but from a different store that was willing and HONEST about selling me these two items. I have never had an issue with Lowe's in the past, but this one here has left a terrible bitter taste in my mouth. I can only hope that since Lowe's lost a $718 sale today that the person who FAILED TO DO THEIR JOB no longer has one. That is about the only reassurance I can possibly take away from this experience. The one bright spot in all this was the willingness of the Assistant Manager to try and make things right. I have no qualms with him, and I would like to Thank him for his efforts. But, I also want to thank Home Depot for stepping up and making things right!!

Realistically, the Home Depot probably gave your product that was already sold to someone else that wasn't marked.

I have worked in both HD and Lowes in the appliance departments, and yes the event you explained happens far to often.

The biggest issue, without trying to sound like an excuse, is the actual appliance companies only let up keep so many in stock at a time, at any given point there may only be one or two of what ever appliance you are looking at.

Sometimes this number includes the display.

The appliance trucks from our vendors are shipped by weight as well, not inventory need. A battle I fought for 3 years. What ever gets the truck to the specified Pound limit, that all they send.

I'm glad you got what you needed, being so far from home, and yes poor communication across the board. but please just know, there is more alike at HD and Lowes then differences

Never contract with Lowe's!!!

My close friend and neighbor ordered an entire kitchen (cabinets, counter & sink, new floor) from Lowe's in April 2016. They did not even deliver until June, then left all the unopened stuff until September. Now it is October; the cabinets have no handles, appliances are not installed, and they "lost" the custom counter top. She is not likely to have a usable kitchen before Christmas!!! Lowe's has either abused orignored her!! The first installer from Lowe's called in sick many times. Lowe's never supplied a different installer. Now they don't even make excuses, they just don't show up. Too bad she paid up front!

Insurance Claim

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I called in a claim on 8/20 at 1:48 to report leaking from my freezer. I was told J&M Appliance would send someone out on Monday. On Tues I spoke to J&M Appliance and was scheduled for the next available service call ( 8/26) I said I was concerned about the possibility of smell, was told once more not to open the freezer. Since our calls are recorded for training purposes and customer services you should be able to hear our conversations. I had previous slaughtered lamb meat and 3 recently slaughter lambs. We raise our own lambs and this freezer was purchased strictly for our slaughtered meat. On Friday, 26th, I called to reschedule because my husband had sudden medical problem and I did not know how long we would be held at hospital and Edwin rescheduled for 8/31. Today, 8/31, Miguel from J&M Appliance informed us the compressor is not working. He ordered parts and said they would call when the parts come in but we would have to clean out the freezer before he would touch it. After the service call I spoke to Marcus and Emily, his supervisor, and was told by both I would be reimbursed $150 for our meat( worth about $600) I was also informed I will would have to clean out the freezer myself. I am afraid to clean out meat that has been without refrigeration for God knows how long. The meat spoiled due to the malfunction of freezer compressor. Price of lamb is ridiculously high. In all actuality this freezer is not repairable, not to my satisfaction, as the bio hazardous material may be embedded into vents, seams, tubes etc, especially if I was to clean it out myself. I would never be comfortable putting food into this freezer for fear my family might get ill or worse. I would prefer Lowes/Service Advantage replace my freezer .

Customer Service (NOT)

Let me relate a recent experience with LOWES’ Home Improvement, from which others may learn. I have a small project I am trying to complete, and need to obtain some materials. I attempted comparison-shopping to source the needed materials. The Home Depot web portal was user unfriendly, so I opted for the user friendly LOWES' site, though was unable to find the quantities of the materials I needed at my local store (perhaps that should have been my first hint to abandon LOWES). I then called 1-80*-445-**** for help, and explained my situation, and the Customer Service Agent was kind enough to find the quantities in stock at another store, and create an order (32492****) for the materials. This all occurred on July 9, 2016. Unfortunately, the quantities in stock were in the LOWES' of Smithfield, and I requested home delivery (Lake Royale). The distance between the two exceeds the delivery area for home delivery. Of course, Lake Royale is outside of Smithfield's delivery area, so I then received a call from a LOWES' of Smithfield cashier relaying a message from the delivery manager that the order was being canceled. I asked why the order could not be transferred to a local store (store-to-store transfer), and was informed that the cashier was just relaying a message. So, I could not argue the point and pursued by calling again to the 1-80*-445-****. After explaining the circumstances, I was assured the order was not cancelled, and that LOWES would facilitate having the order fulfilled by a local LOWES Home Improvement. I received a call (I have a VM from Terry @ LOWES Customer Care stating the order was transferred to the Wake Forrest location and Eddie would handle the process). This was the culmination of more than six phone calls just for one ‘simple’ order. To this day, that order can still be called up on the LOWES portal. But wait, there is more. After diligently checking the status on line (IN PROCESS - View Delivery Details), I called the Wake Forest LOWES today (July 23) to obtain an update on the order. After receiving quizzical responses on the phone, I was told that Eddie was off today, but they would call him and obtain an update on the processing of the order. Two hours later, I received a call from Parka at the LOWES corporate office stating that the original order had been cancelled, funds credited back to my account, and the process needed to start over again, but it will now not be until another two weeks (August 9) that everything can be available for delivery. So, I started out with an order on July 9 (32492****), I had to post-pone my small project until July 23 for materials, and now due to the failure of a supposedly reliable supplier, will have to source and continue delays on this simple project. Needless to say, I have no intention of ever stepping inside a LOWES' Home Improvement store again. Their incompetence and customer dis-Service knows no bounds. Managers who care little or nothing for making the process work are truly exemplified at LOWES. Lesson learned: 1. Using a web portal is great, but sometimes nothing beats brick and mortar for that face-to-face experience. 2. Low prices may be part of their brand, but that should warn the consumer on the lack of Customer Care.

Lowes Cashier Review from Tampa, Florida
Lowes Cashier Review from Tampa, Florida - Image 2
I made a purchase at Lowes on Commerce Palms Drive, Tampa, Florida 5/20/16. I purchased a stacking rocking chair from the back of the gardening section. It was dirty but was the cleanest of the others. I brought it to the cashier, and she said its a lovely chair but its filthy. I told her all of the chairs back there was in that condition. She gave my daughter windex and a paper towel and told her to get started cleaning while I was getting the money for her. I gave her $43 and joined in helping my daughter clean the chair. The cashier said I will put the change here on your phone for you ($0.22), I took my receipt and change from her and put it into my purse. I pulled the cart to the front of the cashier to not block the other customers behind me. After about 5 minutes i was finished cleaning the chair and gave the cashier back her garbage can, windex, and paper towel. I said thank you and proceeded to walk out of the door with my purchase when the same cashier abandons her customers and asks me did you pay for that? I dont think you paid for it. I said yes I did. She asked for my receipt, after looking at my receipt she says no this is not it, embarassing me in front of the other customers. Meanwhile I've got all of her customers eyeballing me as if I stole a big chair from the store. Then she says oh yes it is, ok you did pay for it. Then tells the other customers its a lovely chair but it was so filthy while I walked away. I was so upset I regret I didn't return it and buy the chair at walmart instead. I should have been offered a discount for the dirty chair I paid full price for, or at least the cashier could have gotten someone to come and clean it for us. Instead, I cleaned it myself with my daughter and was still racially profiled and accused of not paying for it by the cashier who I just paid.

I am so pissed at Lowe's our company I am a purchasing agent for a non-profit and I placed an order for some playground items back in June 2016 for some reason (still unknown why they didn't call me prior to cancelling) Lowe's cancelled the order I called to inquire about it and was told the order was never picked up, the order was supposed to be delivered!! So I had to reorder this order on 8/8/16 as of today this order still hasn't been delivered, i have called several times and their excuse is they can't reach anyone to schedule a delivery even though I already told them they could delivery any day M-F from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. so I talked with a manager again today and was told the order will be delivered on 10/4/16. Now this order better be delivered as promised or I'm going to go straight to the store and go OFF!! Their customer service is TERRIBLE I plan on writing the corporate office
