Scammed by Lowes

I purchased a refrigerator on April 21, 2013. Lowes stated they were going to deliver it on April 30, 2013 between the hours of 10AM and 12 PM. They never showed up. The said they did not put the refrigerator on the truck because it was damaged. THEY NEVER CALLED TO TELL ME THIS!! They got another refridgerator from another store after I demanded they get something to my home the same day. The refrigerator did not work. NOW, LOWES refuses to replace it ASAP. I have no refrigerator now. They will not even credit my credit card. I am disabed with $2500 worth of medication that spoiled and my son who is 2 is being disrupted because he cannot have his milk. Lowes took my money and refuses to deliver on their products.

Lowes in Tarboro, North Carolina - Lowe's 3022

As a former employee of Lowe's I am disgusted with how they treat their African American employees. I am a Caucasian and could not believe how simple minded those in management were. They walk around with their head up their butts and expect you to kiss it. Before they give anyone FT they hire Seasonal people, work the *** out of them and then dismiss them. The employees are what makes that location but as for as the managers go they can kiss *** and pray they never get demoted. I suggest you spend your money in Rocky Mount or Greenville, or wait all day for an override.

We will miss you here at Lowes. Your feelings are somewhat normal for someone with no work ethic, as it is necessary for you to blame your employer for your lack of skill set and talent.

Sadly, your next employer will be the same, and you will continue to find wrong in every workplace you are in.

I have been talked into buying valspar paint by the Lowes paint department 3 times and everytime the paint performed horribly. The paint I used in the bathroom had bubbles in it and it dried with bubles on the wall. The second was a primer and paint combo paint that did not cover like the paint claimed and if you didn't paint fast the paint would be pulled off the wall by the roller. Lastly I painted my front door and I have too this every year becaise the paint fades. I have now switched to sherwin wiliams paint and have no problems.

Just suffered with guys who couldn't mix paint, and then was given can of concrete paint with sludge on bottom. water thim, irregularly covered the area.

I actually work at Lowe's in the paint dept and paint houses on the side for a living. The bubble issue your having is not because of the paint but because of the type of roller your using.

Its very important to make sure your surface is clean and free of debris. Make sure you know what your painting on top of. If the walls have a oil base on them, stick with a oil base paint or primer them with a oil base or latex base primer and then paint them with a latex paint. This will stop the problem of peeling and in some cases, bubbles.

IF YOUR NOT SURE OF WHAT TYPE OF PAINT IS ALREADY ON THE WALLS...POUR ALCOHOL ON A COTTON BALL OR RAG AND WIPE THE SURFACE. IF PAINT COMES OFF THEN ITS LATEX, IF NO PAINT COMES OFF THEN ITS OIL BASE. The truth about ANY brand paint that has (Paint + Primer) written on the front is ONLY for surfaces that are already painted with lightly colored tint and in good condition. If your painting over fresh wood, new drywall or dark colors, a pure primer is needed.

If your planning on buying primer, have a employee tint it gray for you. Gray primer tends to cover up existing paint a lot better (dark colors and stains), it will also bring out the true color of your top coated tint that you picked out....and in less coats. I have had customers come in and say they didn't like the Valspar Reserve or Signature and with just a few questions I asked them, 9 times out of 10, it was something that they didn't do before painting. Don't expect to know everything because there's always something new to learn about paint...that's what we're there for, to help you with your projects.

The paint seemed to apply well to the walls but when it came time to remove all the tape the paint peeled off with the tape. Now it looks like *** and have to redo the room or just live with the *** paint job.

I would not recommend this paint to anyone seems to be very poor quality paint for 45/ gallon. I wish I could get my money back

You got that right. Cheap paint like Glidden is much better.

It's not just their paints that suck, so do all their coatings.

Google Valspar sucks. Nobody has had good experience with Valspar paint.

I am having the exact same issue, bubbles in the paint. If you try to "flatten" the bubbles, the paint peels right off the wall!

I primed the walls prior to painting, requested paint without primer and got it anyway. My son next door had the same issue. Valspar is ***! And for those here that swear on this junk has to be running PR for Valspar.

There simply is no other explanation.

I will be returning this product for a refund and if that is a problem for Lowes, God help them! :(

Valspar from Lowes is absolute ***. Dont be fooled by this sub par non covering garbage.

Go with Sherwin Williams and before you buy into any other comments just look at consumer reports or any other legitimate testing and review co. Valspar is always rated Low.

UNBELEIVABLE A MESS IT LOOKS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!WE BEEN WORKING ON IT FOR DAYS wow I SEE I CAN ADD A PICTURE GREAT! the company is gonna give us only the price of one can of paint, this paint was expensive and we have painted our bedroom before with less expensive paint and it never did this.

Used too much paint, YOU used a wrong roller, YOU did not use paint drop cloths, YOU do not know how to paint, YOU used paint/primer paint, YOU should of done research, and lastly, YOU should of hired someone who knew what they were doing. YOU should not point fingers.

All paint/primer are horrible. Never take the easy way out.

That extra step may be the most important...especially on a dark color like yours.

I have Valspar paint on every wall throughout my home with no problems, but we did use Kliz primer. Just did a lot of research first.

Lowes in Amarillo, Texas - They have my money, but never sent my order!

INCOMPETENT PEOPLE ARE RUNNING THIS STORE. I made an order with them 2 weeks ago and they have had my money for 2 weeks. When I called to check in on the order wondering where it was, they said it hadn't even been sent yet...even though the order was ready to be sent...and was paid for. Then I was told that they would be shipping it over night to me so that I would get it today...Alas, I have still not received anything. Worse yet, they can't even tell me if the order was shipped out yet or not...apparently they dont keep great records of shipments they make...and they know nothing...but as long as they have my money, I guess they don't care about anything else. I am so disappointed with the way in which I have been treated and disregarded. I finally talked with some corporate supervisor and told them that I want my credit card reimbursed and I will be taking my business elsewhere...I still have yet to be reimbursed! The tile guy is supposed to come tomorrow to install tile i do not have. awesom! Such bad customer service that I think they must be unhappy people who hate their jobs...because they just dont care. Go to Home Depot...or order from Wayfair. I will never order with Lowes again. -Elizabeth

Lowes in Porterville, California - N. Davis

We purchased a new dishwasher a while back at the Tulare store and are very happy with it. As a thank you we received a gift card and then a thank you card with $10 of with $50.00 purchase. We were in the Porterville store and bought $60.00 plus in merchandise. My husband presented his military ID and the $10.00 card (which they rand through and deactivated. They did not give us our Military discount and said we could not use both. There was nothing on the card to indicate that. I thought the military discount was a thank you for those that have served our country. I hope that is not your policy or the way you treat veterans. Needless to say I will not shop at Lowes if that is the way they treat veterans.

I do not work for Lowes, but it has come to my attention that they only allow 1 discount to be used at a time. If you wanted to use the military 10% discount you could have, but you couldn't use the coupon.

However you're another one of those entitled idi0ts.... Menards the 3rd largest home improvement store in the United States stopped giving a military discount because they're not special! Eventually everyone becomes a senior citizen so you get those discounts... However, people like teachers/doctors/policemen/fireman they don't get a discount...

Military is a career choice nothing more...

I have coworkers who have been in the military and they think you people are STRAIGHT UP FOOLS! YOU DIDN'T JOIN THE D@MN MILITARY FOR A 10% DISCOUNT.....

Lowes in Baltimore, Maryland - Sold me a defective snow blower

Bought Troy Built snow blower in November 2011 from Lowes in Timonium Maryland. Under advice of salesman, I bought the 4 year extended warranty, which he claimed would take care of problem I had except for normal wear and tear. I never used it until a snowfall on March 2013. During this time it was stored without gas in it. When I tried to use it in March the unit failed to start. I called Lowes and was told to bring it back to the store. I did so and was contacted a few weeks later. I was told the repair would cost $206 because there was solidified gas in the carbonator. Given that I stored the snowblower dry and put in fresh gas when I tried to use it, I feel I was sold a defective product, and should not have to pay this charge

People never understand extended warranties, they only take place once the manufacture warranty has expired. Extended warranties only cover issues that you did not cause yourself.

Buying a gas powered item then allowing it to sit around for 1.5 years is just idiotic. You should have ran it a few times changed it's oil a few times, emptied it's gas a few times, used a stabilizer at least once.... Lowes didnt sell you a defective anything, if you want to be angry with anyone be angry with Troy Built, or your dumb@ss...

Most items come with a 2 year manufacture warranty you should have contacted the manufacture to see if it would be covered under their warranty, Lowes extended warranty doesn't start until that expires.... Not to mention all retail stores consider extended warranties 100% profit only fools buy them.

Lowes in Knoxville, Tennessee - Lawnmower

Two years ago, we bought riding lawnmower from Lowes for over $2500. All 3 tires went flat in the first year, which we fixed. This year it won't start; warranty is expired. They will not honor or stand-behind their product. We have purchased new battery, changed oil, and had mechanic work on carburator. Didn't lawnmowers used to last a lot longer??? We have been a Lowes customer for many years and this is extremely disappointing. We bought most of our supplies to build a house...plumbing, kitchen appliances, paint, wood and columns for porch. We can not get a satisfactory solution from them now for a lawnmover.

Sounds like you bought a lemon. My dishwasher stopped working after 2 years, but I didn't blame Lowes.

I didn't expect them to stand by it. It wasn't their product.

And...we spend over $10k on a few projects at the same time, but again, disherwasher killed over, not Lowe's problem, still shopping there.

Lowes has gone down drastically in the past 5 years and in the last 3 years like a airplane falling out of the sky. The previous CEO was doing a good job, but the current CEO has gotten the company more lawsuits and complaints that is unbelieveable, just read all the lawsuits that Lowes has against them for discrimination, racism, abuse, etc.

They have gotten rid of many managers, mostly good ones and got some of the dumbest managers you can get now. The managers do not know what they are doing and they are running the company into the ground.

Customer service and customer care no longer exists at Lowes, that is why so many employees are miserable working there, if you do not lie, steal, cheat, and be hateful to people you are not Lowes material and you will be fired.

4/11/13 I am moving and I picked up a moving package at the post office and applied for a 10% discount coupon to be mailed to me within 2-3 business days.4/18/13 I call customer serivce and they said they would email me the coupon . 4/22/13 I have purchased several items at the Lowes in Glouceter Va but I still do not have a coupon.I have spent over 1,000.00 in the last two weeks. I was told they would still give me the discount if i get the coupong within 30 days but it's been 15 days and I'm beginning to think this offer is not realistic.In addition, the person who is moving to my old address is having the same issue.

When I moved, I just followed the directions, provided the information (such as my new mailing address), and the next day I received the 10% discount coupon that I printed out. My husband did this as well. This could honestly be your fault as much as it could be Lowes.

The discount coupon card is glued to the front of the moving packet. I still have several from our move left. Our postal carrier left me a *** load in my box when I told her we were moving.
