Lowes in Porterville, California - N. Davis
We purchased a new dishwasher a while back at the Tulare store and are very happy with it. As a thank you we received a gift card and then a thank you card with $10 of with $50.00 purchase. We were in the Porterville store and bought $60.00 plus in merchandise. My husband presented his military ID and the $10.00 card (which they rand through and deactivated. They did not give us our Military discount and said we could not use both. There was nothing on the card to indicate that. I thought the military discount was a thank you for those that have served our country. I hope that is not your policy or the way you treat veterans. Needless to say I will not shop at Lowes if that is the way they treat veterans.

Lowes in Baltimore, Maryland - Sold me a defective snow blower
Bought Troy Built snow blower in November 2011 from Lowes in Timonium Maryland. Under advice of salesman, I bought the 4 year extended warranty, which he claimed would take care of problem I had except for normal wear and tear. I never used it until a snowfall on March 2013. During this time it was stored without gas in it. When I tried to use it in March the unit failed to start. I called Lowes and was told to bring it back to the store. I did so and was contacted a few weeks later. I was told the repair would cost $206 because there was solidified gas in the carbonator. Given that I stored the snowblower dry and put in fresh gas when I tried to use it, I feel I was sold a defective product, and should not have to pay this charge
Lowes in Knoxville, Tennessee - Lawnmower
Two years ago, we bought riding lawnmower from Lowes for over $2500. All 3 tires went flat in the first year, which we fixed. This year it won't start; warranty is expired. They will not honor or stand-behind their product. We have purchased new battery, changed oil, and had mechanic work on carburator. Didn't lawnmowers used to last a lot longer??? We have been a Lowes customer for many years and this is extremely disappointing. We bought most of our supplies to build a house...plumbing, kitchen appliances, paint, wood and columns for porch. We can not get a satisfactory solution from them now for a lawnmover.
Lowes in Virginia Beach, Virginia - Moving package disocunt coupons
4/11/13 I am moving and I picked up a moving package at the post office and applied for a 10% discount coupon to be mailed to me within 2-3 business days.4/18/13 I call customer serivce and they said they would email me the coupon . 4/22/13 I have purchased several items at the Lowes in Glouceter Va but I still do not have a coupon.I have spent over 1,000.00 in the last two weeks. I was told they would still give me the discount if i get the coupong within 30 days but it's been 15 days and I'm beginning to think this offer is not realistic.In addition, the person who is moving to my old address is having the same issue.
Lowes in Tampa, Florida - $75 to take Measurements and no report receivedj
Made appointment 4/7/13 in Boynton Beach Lowe's store to discuss kitchen remodeling. Anna Valverde advised she can't discuss till I have "detail measurement report" done. I paid the $75 for this measurement report. I re-met with Anna Valverde today 4/20/13 for the purpose of going over the $75 measurement report and kitchen ideas from these measurements. I mentioned I have a telephone wall plate on wall where she wants to put cabinet. She told me I need I get telephone company or hire electrician. I mentioned I already have under cabinet lighting again her condescending attitude advised well you need to hire an electrician we only do cabinets and counters. We talked about my existing sink which is one year old and her attitude again was if you want corian you need to replace sink and you need to get yourself a plumber. My husband and I decided meeting was over since we are already at $10000 and this does not include cabinets back splash, pluggmbing or electric. We asked for our "paid" measurement report that we paid $75 for. She told us that is the property of Lowe's. We left and we are pissed.
Lowes - Response to Water Ace sump pump problem
Here's an example of a total breakdown between a Lowes customer and Lowes. Over the last 35 years, I've had many brands of sump pumps including Water Ace. I currently have a Water Ace model R5PILT pedestal pump that has lasted almost 10 years. It is only now the automatic switch is begining to stick. This unit has a lifetime warranty and Water Ace is willing to send out a new switch. I have decided to update the style of switch from mechanical to electronic. I can't understand why the person in Mt. Holly would continue to replace failing Water Ace sump pumps with Water Ace sump pumps especially after 2 had already failed. What's worse, Lowes continued to let him buy them. I would have offered him a different brand even if it cost Lowes a few extra dollars. Common sense told them to stop using the Water Ace product and change. Who wants to keep replacing sump pumps when the basement is flooded.In the future, all things fail. Sometimes for no reason. It doesn't mean we have to keep using them and get pissed! By the way, I have a submersible as a back up and the pedestal pump is the operating. I have a small gasoline generator to operate the pumps and a few other appliances when the power goes out. I learned ONCE, I need to prevent a flooded basement. There is only 1 basement that never floods and that's the one that never needs a sump pump and is located in the middle of the Sahara.If you are considering finishing a basement I highly recommend using a product like DriCore sub-floor. It raises everything off the concrete using a plastic footed base with a particle board top. It comes in 2' squares and is tongue and groove. You can float it of secure it to the concrete. There are other floor systems made of waterproof materials that do the same thing but they considerably more expensive.

Lowes - Valspar sandstone paint
First off, they didn"t properly mix the shade I wanted so I had to have them adjust it, which turned out worst. They started a new can and when I applied it to my wall , which I may add was a disaster, didn't go on good and then the color was not what I wanted. I had to go out and buy another brand of paint. The sandstone paint is a mess and Lowe's doesn"t care that I'm out of 42.00 dollars. I hope Valspar cares and can reimburse me. I will never use Valspar paint again ! Lowes couldn't even help to explain the procedure of applying this paint...
Lowes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Special order for entry doors
WE ORDERED ENTRY DOORS ABOUT 3 MONTH AGO AFTER COUPLE OF WEEKS DOORS WERE ORDERED WRONG THEN ANOTHER ORDER WAS PLACED WE GOT A PHONE CALL AT 9PM SUNDAY NIGHT THAT THE DOORS WILL BE DELIVERED ON MONDAY SO I TOOK A TIME OFF FROM WORK WAITED FOR THE DOORS TO COME IN AND NO ONE SHOWED UP WHEN I CALLED THEM BACK I WAS TOLD THAT THE DRIVER DECIDED NOT TO DELIVER THE DOORS CAUSE THE INSALLER WASNT SCHEDULED TO INSTALL THE DOORS WHEN I CALLED THE DELIVERY PLACE THEY SAID THAT WASNT MY DOORS.NOW IM STILL WAITING NO DOORS THEY DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON WORSE SERVICE AND WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING WITH THEM.

Lowes in Hamilton, Ontario - They just don't care
We ordered a light railing for our kitchen cabinets. We were told it would take 2 weeks to be completed. 2 months later they don't know where it is and they definitely don't care. This is the 4th time I've purchased something there and the 4th time I've had a problem with the purchase. Each of the 3 other times I've brought the product back the employees shrugged and said I should just get my money back because this sort of thing happens all the time. THEY JUST DO NOT CARE. This will be the last time I spend a dime there
