Last month I went to a store 20 miles away to buy fertilizer. Lowes web site claimed it was available. It was not. An employee told me there is none. Another told me Lowes updates it records once a week. Now I want to buy Compost as shown on line. There is none available in my state.

Refused return | Lowes review from District 9, Tennessee

Lowe’s refused a fire pit that I purchased 3 years ago.it had never been opened and I had the receipt.us as consumers have to suffer the financial losses from their poor return policy.i have spent several thousand dollars with Lowe’s in the last 5 years and now they have lost my business.i also will let all my family and friends know about this bad experience with them and ask them to tell everyone that they know how poor their return policy is

It has more than likely been discontinued and replaced with a different model. Stores don't have places to restock discontinued items and if they had taken it back it would have been moved to a discounted clearance area.

Why do you expect stores to take a loss on something you have had sitting around your house for 3 years? Why did you purchase it in the first place if you didn't use it? Sell it on Craigs list for whatever you can get for it.

If there is a loss, it should be yours for not being able to make a wise purchasing decision. I wonder where you are going to shop that has a return policy that will let you return items you have had sitting around your house for 3 years...good luck with that.

You really expect a retailer to return something you bought 3 years ago? Read any return policy at any retailer in the country.

90 days is usually the max.

And yes, this is 100% legal. These retailers aren't stupid.

My husband and I bought new carpet, padding and a piece of trim for the step down back in May. To avoid a seam I had to purchase the 15' roll. Total carpet and padding purchased was 300 sq ft. They only used about 265 sq ft. I had to purchase an 8' piece of trim but they only used 38" of it. The remainder of materials were NOT left for my use elsewhere. I have went in twice to ask for the rest and have had no luck. They need to either give me the rest of the materials I purchased or give me a refund of what they stole from me!!!! NOT HAPPY!!!! Will never purchase from Lowe's again!!!!

when you go to a discount home improvement center, which Lowe's is, this is what you get. It's how they can be cheaper than the locally owned (and almost extinct) window companies. Think for a minute why that is.

Update I was sent an email on July 12 , telling me that they We’re ordering materials to Finish the job and that someone will get back to me. I have since spoken to someone in executive offices. I also asked them not to send the same people to correct the matter since they have now been here 3/4 times. I have also sent them new pics of the drip Vinyl coming of the roofs edge. 3 day job now in its third month I have not been told when they will correct anything. At what point do I go to small claims court?

Has this policy changed? This is our 3rd dishwasher in 12 years and last 2 they hand trucked it up our very steep driveway and brought it in house. This time I had to drive my truck to bottom of driveway to retrieve new one. Load old one and drive it down driveway. I always tip delivery guys generously. In fact, I had 2 crisp $20s to give each of these guys. One guy barely spoke and had headphones in. I thought, what if I was a 80 year old female? They didn’t seem to care. I kept those $20s. Those guys got nada. Not sure I will order from Lowe’s again?

What exactly is the "essential" part of the freezer you are missing? Was the freezer delivered or did you pick it up? If it was delivered and a part "essential" to its operation was missing, why did you accept it?
