Worst Washing Machine Ever

We bought a new Maytag washer and it started to make a lot of noises after only six months. I call the Lowes customer service center and was not getting any where. After several calls and more than two weeks later, someone came to look at it.Therepair man told us that he could not believe it wore out that fast.We had to spend almost$200 to go to the laundry Mat to wash clothes.I have maytag washers in the past and have never had a problem.I will never buy a maytag or shop at Lowes again. There customer service has been the worst to have to deal with.

I have the same issue (it also stopped spinning) with the Maytag washer I bought from Lowes. I purchased a Protection Plan, had a appointment for today...yet no one came out.

I called Lowes corporate office in NC and was told it's not their problem the service rep didn't come out. Riddle me this.... why did I spend the money on a protection plan, if it does nothing for me.

Why doesn't Lowes stand behind their products? Never again will I buy from Lowe's or Maytag.

Oh my gosh! What is with you people!

Leave these people who write the posts alone!

If they feel the need to air a complaint, they certainly do not need people like you critizing them! Stop defending the Store and making these people feel bad!

The whole point of this website is to air out fustrations, not to be bombarded by heckling!

Guest

I agree with Pissed Customer. I've been without a working washing machine for over a month.

My extended warranty will probably expired before the repair company orders the correct part and installs it.

I'll admit, I'm also angry at the repair company, but my calls to Lowes Customer Service was the true running in circles exercise. When I called customer service and ask for a number where I could complain, the number they gave me to another fine representative that transferred me back to the same group. Understand, this was after the third day of talking to customer service.

And they still were not able to add my cell number as a primary contact. I'll just go somewhere else next time.

Guest

Lowes didn't build the washing machine. You bought a brand name appliance with a warranty, yet you do not call the manufacturer, but rather the retailer.

What would you have had Lowes do?

Lose the misplaced aggression and self-righteous indignation and start doing a little rational thinking. That is all!!

That is NOT all. Lowe's sells this junk while knowing of its low quality - they are on the hook as well.

.

Take it easy now, this is a complaint site, meaning it provides an opportunity for the customers to post complaints. Take your misplaced aggression and self-righteous attitude elsewhere.

Do yourself some rational thinking.

Your name doesn't match. Just saying.

Guest

Why does this deserve the dramatic "will never shop at Lowes again"??? Because YOU didn't deal with the one year manufacture warranty?? $200, really, doubt, I'm going to give this a FUNNY/BS :roll

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-601629

Ain't nothing dramatic here. The fella described their experience and hence won't shop at Lowe's again.

Ditto here.

.

But you will shop there, I take it. Good luck

.

See ya later when you get burned lol :)

Guest

$200 to wash clothes for two weeks? Maybe you should have bought a commercial grade washer, not a residentual unit. :grin

Guest

Why are you so mad at Lowes? The washer is a Maytag (owned by Whirlpool) and guaranteed by Maytag, not Lowes.

It seems your complaint should be with Maytag. Perhaps the reason it took so long to get it fixed is that you didn't contact Maytag as you should have rather than calling Lowes.

Completely agree they've dssappointed me for last time. I assume they were trying to replicate craftsman with warranty and innovative tools. The quality is terrible and warranty tough to neotiate.

Kadin Xjc

Their side cutting pliers can't even cut tie wire!!! I'm on the phone with them know because their chinese workbench I bought has a sheet metal piece that is stamped wrong.

AFter 30 min knowbody will answer the f#$kin phone! Craftsman sucks now too that they went to china. So for me Klein, and ebay for New old stock craftsman tools that are made in the usa. And even klein has a bunch of china junk, however screwdrivers etc are still made in the USA.

I would be so embarrassed to have tool box full of kobalt tools. Most of it looks like a cavemen's tools

Kobalt tools are garbage for sure. I have yet to have one not bust on me.

Bot, you cant be serious... Bought is the correct spelling.

You need to keep your comments to yourself! This site is for people to voice their complaints and they don't need someone acting like a school teacher telling them their spelling is bad!

This person has every right to post anything they want and if you don't like it, too bad.

He/she has the right to post whatever they want? AND I DON'T?

Are you really that STUPlD? This website is designed for anyone to post as they see fit.

If people can't handle a swift and just response they probably should reconsider posting anything anywhere on the internet. If you can't post a proper argument odds are you're the one causing the issue to begin with and have nothing to be pissed about, unless of course you're pissed at yourself.

Pissed off customer, NEVER AGAIN!!!

Walked into the garden center, at the "southlands" location. the people they have hired are so rude! Not a hi, hello.....nothing! I asked one of the employees where I would find a certain item in the garden center..he pointed down a long isle..."did you look there?...serioulsy?? I then find it BY MYSELF, (On the other side of the store) Go to the check out...Jade looks at me...I said hi..(crickets)....NOTHING!! again...seriously??? a!! from now on...I will drive the 6 miles and go to Home Depot!! They are always helpful and friendly! soooo sad, I have complained before...and nothing has been done! Guess they just don't care! You would think the "big wigs" would care, but just one look at their paycheck...and they say, oh well! NEVER AGAIN!!

Lowes cashier here. Cashiers, if that is who initially asked, cannot leave their registers to help you.

It is policy that aisle associates must walk you to the item. I'm sorry the cashier was unresponsive to you. They should have at least said hello and asked you about your day/shopping experience. Please call and talk it over with a manager.

We need calm, constructive feedback to improve and better serve the public.

I do hope Home Depot serves you well if you choose to exclusively patronize their store. :grin

Andrea Ahw

Asking if you looked where the product is is not rude. Customers always want you to hold their hand these days.

They are too lazy to look for something. I get that all the time in the pharmacy. Customers will walk right by the aisle they want to get to the window to ask us where stuff is. We are a small pharmacy in a small store.

It is not hard to read the low hanging signs.

And exactly where do you think bandaids would be? In the area marked FIRST AID. Or where are the razors?

In the aisle marked WET SHAVE. Please, use your noodle.

Breyonna Vfu
reply icon Replying to comment of Andrea Ahw

Lack of sign reading is my biggest complaint of the public. I've had to explain lightbulbs were in the "lightbulb" aisle they just walked past with the huge "LIGHTBULBS" sign over it.

Someone just got pissed off at Home Depot and is now driving 6 miles to Lowes

Lowe's Building Incompetence Together

Saturday November 24th 2012, my 30" Frigidaire Range failed, at 8:00 AM, it was 10 years old and was in need of replacement anyway. I visited my local Lowe's in Corbin, Kentucky to purchase a new range. Problem #1: 30 minute wait before any customer service rep acknowledged our presence. Problem #2: The CSR who showed up, could not actually enter our order into the computer without assistance from a CSR in another department. Problem #3: Asked and was told on three separate instances that it would be delivered and installed on Tuesday or Wednesday November 27th or 28th, and that they would call before delivery. Problem #4: No mention of buying an installation "kit", which is required if they install the range. Problem #5: Was asked during check out, if I wanted an extended warranty coverage plan, which I declined, was asked if this was to be delivered, which I restated that it did need to be delivered, as it would not fit in my car. Problem #6: Stopped by Lowe's this afternoon to check the status on my Range. Was told it was sold to me as a "carry-away", and wasn't scheduled for delivery. Problem #7: Was told the range had to be ordered, and would not arrive in the store until November 29th. Problem #8: Was told that the earliest it could be delivered was Friday November 30th, while both my wife and I will be working. Problem #9: Was informed that I was not charged for an "installation kit", and that the installer would not be able to reuse my existing connection cable to install the new range. I refused to buy a new cord, and declined their installation service. I run a retail business, and if I were to allow this level of incompetence among my employees it would quickly put me out of business. I'm not saying I never have any problems with unsatisfied customers, however, all of my employees are capable of providing a level of customer service that causes even my unsatisfied customers to leave happy, and return. My expectations of these "big box" stores are not excessively high, but this is not the first time I've had this experience at Lowe's.

Appliances

I purchased an entire kitchen of appliances. The Stove, microwave, and diswasher were delivered but one hour and 30 minutes early with 5 minutes notice. Ok that worked but had to scramble to unhook stove and cord as delivery personnel were looking over my shoulder. Frig was supposed to be delivered in 2 weeks. Got a call 2 days later at 8:30 pm that the frig was going to be delivered the nest day between 12 and 2 pm. I turned off the water to the ice maker on my current frig and unhooked it from the water supply. At 1:30pm the next day. I checked my phone for calls. No messages but two handups from delivery company. So I called the delivery company and was told the frig did not come in and was not going to be delivered. I aske when and was told to call Lowes. Called lowes and talked to the manager and was told he had no info on the call but because it was their delivery company would accept the blame and after checking said the frig would arrive in 2 days. Waited 2 days and called for Lester the manager and he sent me to the appliance manager. He said the frig was due in a week and would call me the following week and confirm delivery. Guess what no call so called Lester. He said I am with a customer and will call you right back. Waited 2 hours and got a call from the appliance manager again. He said the frig would be in the following monday and would call for a Tuesday delivery. It is now Wednesday and no call. I have a commercial credit card from Lowes and have spent many $1000's of dollars with them on my 16 rental properties. They are idiots. Do not spend a dime at Lowes. My credit card is now chopped into little pieces.

Nightmare Kitchen

In Feb 2012 we ordered a kitchen to be installed in March. That kitchen was fully completed at the end of December 2012. It took over nine months! The staff were incompetent from designer, to installation, to store manager and district manager. We were used as a guinea pig and Lowes made every possible mistake buidling our kitchen. All the store did was blame us, the customer, for all the mistakes done. This was supposed to be my dream kitchen. It turned into my nightmare. Nobody who has come into our kitchen over the last year will ever buy another product from Lowes. Their treatment towards us was disgusting and shameful.Furthermore, their exective customer service is a complete joke. Their final settlement amount was insulting, given all the nonsense they have put us though.

I am an Interior Designer and have used my local Lowe's as a subcontractor for my clients for years ... The customer SHOULD be involved and part of the process so there is a good experience. I have gotten to know the designers , the installer that I am comfortable with so any time I had a project it was great.

But I see it all the time people just waltz in, no appointment and have no respect for the designers time and Expect them to drop everything because they want a kitchen design . That's a red flag , non planning just spontaneous ... And starts off bad. Would you just show up at your doctors because you just decided you needed him to check something? NO! It sets the tone right there and the designers can feel ill at ease and plain uncomfortable and try to put on a happy face for this rude unreasonable potential customer that you wish would never come back . But then they do and you get what happens above .

NO ONE are mind readers and if things don't happen to your liking then it is your fault. For example if you say " I want a steak at a restaurant and a vegetable " and they bring you a sirloin medium well and green beans , and you respond saying " I wanted a filet medium rare and a baked potato , what's a matter with you people I will never eat here again!" It is your fault but if you argue about it because you can't admit you made a mistake you know you'll get a discount or get it for free!!

You are to be a responsible adult and ask questions and not assume because you have the final say . If you are difficult with people you get. 50% out of them because they may be afraid to mess up because you'll complain and made them nervousness ergo they mess up .

I don't know the whole situation but I think before someone complains they should have at least mention what they did as well but that will never happen . The blame is best to keep on one side I guess ... There are to many unanswered questions and unreasonable responses and sounds as if they just wanted to put it to bed . I find it hard to believe that no one apologised . Maybe they did but in a way you didn't understand.

The golden rule always works for me ! If you manipulate for personal gain it could come back to you 3-fold with repercussions !!! And if it was just a handful of people that caused problem did you ever think about why they could have done a bad job if they did ? Maybe they lost a loved one, Maybe they lost their home , maybe IRS is auditing them , maybe they are overwhelmed taking care of aging parents, maybe they had life savings stolen from them who knows the list could go on ,but they try to put on a happy face to please you and then you make it worse because all you care about is you at the end of the day and getting your way at whatever expense . But if they were that bad they would have been let go.

People today should compliment as often as complain but no one ever does !!!

I compliment as often as I can but if a problem arises I try in the beginning to make it an Opportunity to make it right not just a problem right off the bat.

I'm sorry you had your problem but I have worked with kitchen projects for over 25 years and anytime there is a huge problem it's because what I have stated ,,,

Get involved do research get to know the people you work with more people need positive approaches and see what happens ... My clients are great and they love The Lowes store as well ... God bless and be well

Guest

Unfortunately I wouldn't have any place like Lowes install a large project like a kitchen. I don't think their installers are necessarily the best.

We had a dishwasher installed by them and to be honest it was laughable at how inept they were. Our neighbor eventually finished off the job properly They took a large chunck out of our countertop. They asked if we wanted to be compensated for this and we said no.

We still buy basic items from them, but would never had anyone install an appliance. We use companies that have great reviews and professionals that are truly experienced.

Where is everyone/ANYONE!

In looking for assistance for our basement remodel---new washer/dryer, carpeting, paint, cabinets, there was NO ONE to even say hello. After waiting and looking for 1/2 hour with still no employee contact or even knowing WHO WORKED there, we left and went to.... Home Depot greeted us at the door, took us to their home improvement section, introduced us to a sales person and GOT OUR BUSINESS! If 'Never stop improving' is Lowe's motto, they would have to START ANY TYPE OF IMPROVEMENT prior to continuing to improve on it. Can't believe people shop there as we will never be back and I'm sure whoever 'they' are won't miss our business.

I so agree with the comment about being greeted. I feel you don't need to be greeted to do your shopping.

I work in retail and while I do it of course because "I have to" and it's apart my job. How is whether you are greeted or not going to affect your shopping for items you should already know what you're looking for? Some of you really have no understanding how retail works. We as an associate have no control over how much people get staffed for the day.

Sometimes there are even call outs and 50% of the time no one comes in to fill in for those call outs. So guess what that means? Less people with MORE stuff to get done. People kill me always having an attitude when they have to wait because an associate is helping another customer and are so impatient.

Then some even have the nerve to try to be rude in cut in front of others.

Go shopping when you're going to have patience. We're sorry you have to look for someone to help you but keep in mind associates have other tasks to do other than sitting there doing nothing waiting for a customer to stop by and ask for help.

Guest

When in Lowes, use the "call buttons". They are on a timer.

To most Lowes employees, they are the "button of death". Don't be afraid to use them.

Guest

There isn't any law that I am aware of that says stores have to have somebody at the door to greet customers. People that think they should be greeted at the door, should go and visit friends.

I'm sure the Lowe's employees wore something that identified them as store employees. As far as that goes unless you are blind you should have been able to find the items you were looking for, and when you got to those respective departments there more than likely would have been an employee or two in the department.

If you can't find different departments in a store, maybe you need a caregiver to help you shop. Grow up!!!!

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-647034

First, I completely understand about the lack of employee's. As a prior employee, there were many times at closing when we were lucky to even have 10 people store wide.

However, with that said, employee's also have lunches. It is very common when we do not have the hours to be better staffed, that one employee is covering 4+ departments. Red vests are hourly staff, blue vest(s) are store/assistant managers.

I would suggest next time going to the Customer Service desk [where there is someone 100% of the time, mandatory, and often the only register open while handling phone calls and incoming orders placed on-line] or better yet to the person watching the exit [most likely the Head Cashier], and ask if there is an available manager to help because you could not find someone. And for the love of all that is holy, please do not be snarky or *** their heads off! They can not leave the front end to assist you, and it is [normally] easier to get an Assistant Manager than it is to have us try and call a billion people trying to find one to help you. Chances are if you did not see one walking from Appliances to the Front End, then they are either a] taking their mandatory and much deserved lunch or b] helping another customer.

P.S. I have been to Home Depot a few times, and while my last trip was actually pleasant with plenty of staff and helpful at that, my two or three times before there was also plenty of staff but no one said hello! If you do not bring it to someone's attention and chose to instead walk out and scorn them, then it can never get better!

Guest

they probably won't miss you, because someone just got pissed off and home depot and went to lowes

DO NOT BUY PELLA WINDOWS FROM LOWES

***SCAM ALERT***

My mother69) and grandmother(96) were scammed by Lowes Longview Tx window dept/installers.

They installed 13 windows in there 1958 house, and over half the windows only one lock locks. All are off center and sag on one side.

Every window frame has scratches and looks like the came from Walmarts clearence dept.

Windows were suppose to open in so you can clean them. But the Idiots at lowes only measured from the outside. SO they didnt notice we have would trim around the inside windows frames. So the windows wont open in.

We have been trying to get lowes to fix the problem since jan 4 2013. Its now been 3 months and they just LIE about calling us back. LIE about will get this fixed!

4,470.35 for 13 windows that dont function properly.

So time for an attorney and file complaints with the city and BBB.

STAY AWAY FROM LOWES WINDOW DEPT. RIP OFF!!

Installer was an ***!

It always amazes me how people blame everyone else for everything. There would have been a contract signed before this job was done.

Did anyone read it? Ask any questions? Have the salesman go over the specs thoroughly before plunking down their money? I have had numerous installations done by lowes and the salesmen have always taken the time to explain exactly what I was getting and answered any questions before I signed a contract.

I am an older woman and not construction savvy. Did they take the time to inspect the product before they installed it? Refuse any that were damaged?

If they did all of the above and explain it better than you did in your letter above, I'm sure lowes will take care of you. If you didn't, the problems belong to you.

More of the same old BS! Complete failure on Lowes for customer service! What a joke! They really dont care. They got our money and now its will look into it or we will call ya back and we hear nothing.

This is the worst experience i have ever had with a retail chain.

:eek :upset :cry :(

Guest

Actually - comment #1 - the Andersen E-Series (Eagle) double-hung windows come standard with 2-locks on each window.

Guest

The size of the window will determine how many locks the window has. Smaller windows will have one and your larger windows have two. Look at other brands and you will find them to be the same.

Guest

Finally got contacted by Lowes Corp Yesterday 3/12/2013.

Claim to have a Dist Mgr looking into issues and will contact us in 24 hours.

Install was done poorly. :cry

Installer should have noticed on the first window that the windows wouldnt work. :roll

Instead waited till the last window to point out they couldnt be opened in to clean. :?

The pellas windows are cheaply made. Not very impressive, compared to the sample at Lowes. :upset

Guest

I recently bought a Pella Window from Lowe's. It was a double pane remodel window.

I installed it myself with my wife's help. It took us the better part of 6 hours but we took our time to make sure it was done right. The window works great. After several weeks it's still tight and level as it was when we stalled it.

The windows do scratch easily. Sounds like to me your problem is with the installation not with the window itself.

Lowes credit card ripped me off!

I wad charged twice for a purchase. I was credited months later but in the mean time the deferred interest was not credited to my real purchase. So now I got smacked with all of the interest from the original purchase because they will not allocate to the original sale! I have called over and over..they said some one would call, done one would send me a letter and no one has done either! I'm going home depot! I'm paying of this rip off credit card and cutting it up! I'm sick of broken promises by Lowes.. they don't know the meaning of customer service!

You and the rest of the *** brained people on here blaming retailers for the creditors, I don't get it. It's not like Lowes is having their in store employees contact you or when you call, you are getting the person at the store you purchased from.

You are reaching GE Money/Credit. You may want to post a complaint there.

And the same thing will/would happen with Home Depot, just remember if it does, to complain about the creditor, not the retailer, ugh. If you do not understand credit, you should not have a card in the first place.

Guest

The problem isn't Lowes, it's you contacting Lowes when you should be contacting the bank that owns/operates the Lowes credit card. All major retail stores operate this way, their credit cards a owned and run by a specific bank.

Major retail stores offer a credit card for guaranteed repeat business not for interest rates, the bank gets all the profits from interest rates. If you search Home Depot you will see recently someone complained about their credit system, that person also did not understand it's owned and operated by a specific bank and not Home Depot. CONTACT THE PROPER PLACE, Lowes can do nothing for you, THE BANK CAN.

So next time before you get all pissy try understanding the full situation. So many people get angry at retail stores yet they have no clue where the real blame should belong like the bank who runs the credit card or the manufacture who makes the product.

ONLINE ORDERING NIGHTMARE

My husband and I shop Lowes all the time for everything. On January 17th at 11 AM, we purchased 5 packages of insulation on line. We used the EBATES search engine to go to Lowes.com as we always do. As always we used gift cards that we had bought had Giant Eagle of Lancaster- we purchased two 100 cards. We went on vacation and when we returned, I called the Lancaster Lowes and asked how much longer for our order to arrive. i was then told there was no order for us... and our NIGHTMARE begins. The order was processed as Ebates has a record of my order.. what happened at Lowes. com who knows. When I went back into my personal account on Lowes .com the order was now still showing still in my basket with the gift cards (numbers were blocked out) applied and stating no balance due. I tried to complete the order and received an error to call customer service. I spent 2 HOURS with the customer rep as she put me on hold at least 1/2 dozen times. I told her I did not have the cards anymore as the order had processed on the 17th. She told me that even though my cart was showing gift cards were applied she could not process the order - she would need the gift card numbers. They would also not take my information from EBates that I had purchased the products on that date and I even had an EXACT TIME!!!. I again stated I had no idea how I was going to get them. She told me I would have to call my credit card company as well as Giant Eagle to see if I could get the numbers. She said once I did she could process the order. My husband was IRATE-- he then spent another HOUR on the phone with Crystal- a supervisor who reiterated that we needed to get the numbers. After many more hours of phone calls I was finally able to obtain the card numbers from Giant Eagle. We called back Lowes. com. NOW they stated they were not able to process the orders with the card numbers as they needed the pins!!!!! My husband and I were both so irate at this time....... we had spent OUR ENTIRE DAY trying to get an order that we had placed weeks ago and PAID FOR!!!!! Your system obviously has a major glitch. The customer service rep(above) stated she would forward the matter to Lancaster Lowes manager. Now, tonight I was on my computer and I remembered I had a password/ number saver installed and i was able to recover the Lowes cards numbers as well as the pin numbers !! So, I figured I would go ahead and just re do my order as I could not stand to be stressed, angered and dealt with so poorly by Lowes anymore..... BUT OF COURSE!!!! the cards are now showing they have NO BALANCE.... imagine that????? PROBABLY BECAUSE WE USED THEM ON JANUARY 17TH t TO PLACE THE ORIGINAL ORDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Words can not even begin to describe how ANGRY I AM right now..... I will be forwarding this email to Better Business and any and everywhere I can. **** I want the products we ordered delivered to our home asap paid in full with the gift cards we PAID FOR. I also am requesting come compensation for the aggravation and completely POOR customer service.

Just so that I understand, you made a purchase online, paid(or tried to)for the order with gift cards that you bought from another party, and then get pissed at the local store because they don't know who you are or what you are talking about. To top it all off, you want Lowe's local store to complete an order that you say that you completed, using card numbers that they don't have and have no way to access the pin number that only you have. What could possibly go wrong?

Guest

they did NOT ask for bot product and gift card, just product paid for WITH the gift cards. DUH

Guest

I understand wanting to either receive your product or a refund of your gift cards, but not both. And what makes you feel entitled to additional compensation??

Because your day was ruined??

I've had plenty of nightmare phone calls to retailers, credit card companies, insurance companies, but never have I EVER felt entitled to more than what was necessary.

We ordered a refrigerator from Lowes.com to be delivered on Wednesday. They called a few days in advance to verify the delivery date. Someone stayed home all day waiting on the delivery. We called customer support at 4:30PM. They assured us that the delivery would take place. The said the night driver came on at 5 PM the truck would be loaded then and they would call one hour before the delivery. I asked if this was normal to deliver so late. I was told that is the way they always did their deliveries. There was no phone call and no attempt to deliver the refrigerator.

We purchased a new dishwasher a while back at the Tulare store and are very happy with it. As a thank you we received a gift card and then a thank you card with $10 of with $50.00 purchase.

We were in the Porterville store and bought $60.00 plus in merchandise. My husband presented his military ID and the $10.00 card (which they rand through and deactivated. They did not give us our Military discount and said we could not use both. There was nothing on the card to indicate that.

I thought the military discount was a thank you for those that have served our country.

I hope that is not your policy or the way you treat veterans. Needless to say I will not shop at Lowes if that is the way they treat veterans.

You can disagree with a customer without being obnoxious. Lowe's really should take a closer look at the way they are communicating publicly with customers. This post makes me not want to business with the company at all.

You could of split your purchases. Walmart *** me off everytime I go to the store, but I still go. While you leave Lowes, someone pissed off at another home improvement store will take your place, so I'm sure you won't be missed.

Guest

I do not work for Lowes, but it has come to my attention that they only allow 1 discount to be used at a time. If you wanted to use the military 10% discount you could have, but you couldn't use the coupon.

However you're another one of those entitled idi0ts.... Menards the 3rd largest home improvement store in the United States stopped giving a military discount because they're not special! Eventually everyone becomes a senior citizen so you get those discounts... However, people like teachers/doctors/policemen/fireman they don't get a discount...

Military is a career choice nothing more...

I have coworkers who have been in the military and they think you people are STRAIGHT UP FOOLS! YOU DIDN'T JOIN THE D@***N MILITARY FOR A 10% DISCOUNT.....

Horrible quality and don't give a *** attitude!!!!

Bought a full house of indoor solid core doors, all came with wrong trim and the quality was so bad the installer had to disassemble and rebuild almost every unit.and replace trim. On the two outdoor units I bought the hinges rusted up in 3-4 months, they said I should have ordered stainless hinges.Who sells outdoor doors that rust off their hinges ??? When I asked them to warranty the hinges they just laughed. If you buy anything from lowes make sure it is a well known name and not a Lowes product.. Or just go to Home Depot.

So why didn't you buy the well known brand. You said it yourself, take your advice.

You probably would of bought the HD brand as well.

Heard of the saying,"you get what you pay for".

Lowe's CENSORS product reviews on its site!!

This experience has taught me that Lowe's not only sells *** products, but they do all they can to HIDE that fact from other customers.

I bought a rocking chair from Lowe's, and it was ***. So I went online to post a helpful review so that other innocent consumers would not be victimized by Lowe's *** buying decisions. The rocking chair was LOW QUALITY and DANGEROUS. I included photos I took of the chair in my review and posted it to their website. They rejected my review because I said "you should buy a quality rocker from a place like Frontgate instead". Their rejection said I was rejected because I mentioned a competitor's name. So I re-submitted the review by taking out the name of the competitor. They rejected it AGAIN, this time saying the following:

"Your opinion on Black Slat Porch Rocker is important to us and the Lowes.com community.

Unfortunately, we cannot post your review because it contains one or more of the following types of unsuitable content:

Critical comments not related to the product being reviewed

Obscenities, discriminatory language or other language not suitable for a public forum

Advertisements, spam content or references to other products, promotions or competitor websites

Email addresses, URLs, phone numbers, physical addresses or other forms of contact information

We encourage you to resubmit your review after reading through our guidelines. Thank you for being an active member of the Lowes.com community."

My review did NOT violate their policies and did not violate any of the things listed above. It was a VERY honest, polite, and helpful review.

What Lowe's is doing is CENSORING valuable feedback from its customers, EVEN THOUGH IT CLAIMS TO WANT HONEST FEEDBACK. This rocker was ***. (Although I did not use that word, or any other obscenity, in my review).

LOWE's sells *** products and CENSORS honest and fair reviews, which is tantamount to LYING to its customers about the quality of its products.

I know what they did on this product, and it's shameful. I have to assume this is their standard operating procedure. This is the way they deal with their customers - by withholding valuable, honest, accurate feedback that could save innocent customers from being ripped off, or even injured by a *** product.

Shame on Lowe's!!

Here is my review. You decide - was this review "obscene" or unfair?:

"I thought I was the smartest guy on the block when I found these at Lowe's for $88 - because they looked like the high quality chairs you see at high end catalogs but for one-third the price. So I bought two of them, and I was just amazed at the low quality. First, the runner broke right off when I was putting it on. I have other rockers so I know how to do this, and I'm a handy man - it shouldn't have broken. So I was more careful with the second one, but it split too. They just use cheap wood. It's made in China, so maybe they don't even know what wood it is.

Second, it's just not well made - although it looks handsome enough, the back is totally straight and not at all contoured, and same with the seat. It doesn't have a good "angle" when you sit in it, and it doesn't rock well. So at a distance, it looks fine. But if you actually plan to sit on them, forget about it. Spend some more money and get something of quality."

Lowes did not my post my negative review of a GE washer that GE has still yet to service or replace 6 months after requesting service (new washer!). $1000 washer.

After 5 months of rescheduled, GE offered to replace it and now I can't get the delivery company to show up. Now on the 3rd schedule! I only stated facts and no insults and Lowes is not posting my review. I am shocked that Lowes would do that and with no explanation.

How often are they doing this? https://***/pd/GE-2-4-cu-ft-High-Efficiency-Stackable-Steam-Cycle-Front-Load-Washer-White-ENERGY-STAR/100073****

Lowes doesn't allow Comments on their Insulations. At least their not Dumb, just not Concerned

Guest

Lowes management has decided to maximize sales and to maximize profits they refuse to take accountability. They give the illusion that they maintain an open forum in their product review, but don't try complaining about Lowes.

Case in point check out Reviews of Lowes Installation, they don't allow Reviews of their Installations for good reason. I purchased a Hardie Siding Installation and was left with Slip Shod workmanship.

Contract Requires Binding Arbitration. This requires Legal Representation, the *** is that the Contract doesn't allow for getting your legal fee's even if you prevail!

Going through the same thing. Lowes can't tell me where my $6k zero turn mower is or when it will be delivered.

Wrote a review that was not hostile, but it never got posted.

Wow, this is crazy. What is happening to this country??

Doesn't surprise me. I recently had a Siding Installation Job that was Terrible.

I've written about it on this Site.

Wanted to write up a review on Lowes Site. On Installation Jobs they don't allow reviews, WONDER WHY!

Same problem with Lowe's. My shower panels were 16 weeks back ordered.

The day they were supposed to be in I would get a call saying another 3 weeks. I turned them into the BBB and finally got someone in NC to look at my problem.

Kohler gave me 10% off, but the $180 didnt even pay the CC interest for waiting so long. I will never purchase anything from Lowes again.

I FOUGHT THE LOWE'S AND THE LOWE'S WON!

You can’t put competitor name in ANY review. You can hint at it like, “I bought an orange version at a big box store,” if talking about a power tool from Home Depot.

It’s been that way since I can remember.

Sorry your chair sucked. Write a review without a name.

Guest

Same here - Lowes rejects any bad review with a message stating: "Something went wrong on our end. Please try again in a little while." I think they mean "Please try Home Depot instead."

Just did a negative review on the Lowes website. I got an email to verify my review.

I got an email saying someone commented on my review and to click if I want to read it. When I click it, my review is not there.

When I tried to add it back in I get "Something went wrong on our end. Please try again in a little while."
