Its not just customers suffering, with some of the new "necessary changes" at the stores even the employes are unhappy. | Lowes review

First of all if your employees are not happy how in the *** can they make the customers happy. I think Lowe's will lose the battle against the big savings stores because the employees are going through so many changes. Not enough help in any one department. BURNED OUT employees, and all of them expected to preform there jobs under stressful demands. Well all I know is if and when you go into a Lowe's please understand that some of the new changes that are happening are probably due to the corporate executives not making enough cash to continue the life stile they have sucked up. Sorry Military but yes you will be effected. The employees now answer to a non-manager who doesn't evaluate employees by performance but by data. We are all under the data curse now in this world. This also means the personal side of caring about the customer and or the employee is now data commercial. Good luck getting back to good old unforced customer service. We now have forced customer service or you will be dealt with. Sad but true, I don't know how to fix it but now that we can't be sure if it appropriate to ask GOD to help, what do we employees do. I will just so you know always pray to my god like it or not. I am so upset that Lowe's has taken this (our way or the high way)approach towards it employees. YES Lowe's has to make a profit and they have to make some changes that is true. Why must you take it out on the face of you employees. Many who have been there for many years. Well all I can see is if your employees have to stay under constant pressure than you will fell and the good old company's that use to care are a thing of the past. Yes I am a employee who can't do a thing about the changes that are happening to us at Lowe's . This is just another way we are loosing that one on one customer service. Sure our meeting in the morning make us feel we are doing fair. Fair is so not good enough though. The customer needs our advice and attention on the important thing that are going on in there life. How in the name of all that is good do the employee put them first if they are worried about not getting all that is needed in there department done. Skeleton crew will never work. In this day and age of internet sales the only way brick and mortar stores can compete is to do more with less. People are getting use to making purchases with assistance on the internet and don't want to pay any more for a product in a store than they can buy it for on-line.

It's getting to the point that about all a retail employee can do anymore is hustle to get the product on the shel and if luck have time to point the customer in the direction of where the product they want are. They day of paying knowledgeable employees to assist customers in their buying decisions is becoming a thing of the past.

Went to have an entry door installed, tried to charge us 345 for the door, 389 install fee, 400 from the contractor, 117 to remove storm door and put it back on, 35 measurement and 16 lead test. The install fee was more than the friggin door, the guy came did the measurements and never did lead test, and, Lowe’s System doesn’t allow refunds on that. Not to mention it was a stock door. Why is Lowe’s charging 389? On top of that they committed fraud by not returning the $16 for the lead test not being completed.

FLOORING | Lowes review from Henderson, Nevada

Bought 2 faucets (bath and kitchen) at Lowes. I paid $250 for the faucets. Plus they charged me $635 to install the 2 faucets with four 1foot hose extensions and four on/off valves. One hot and cold for each faucet. Two guys were here less than 90 minutes. That is $211 per hour labor. Glad I waited to contract my $6,000 flooring. They wouldn’t give me a firm installation price until they removed my existing carpet and tile. After my existing floor was removed and I was living without floor covering They could have charged me whatever they wanted. So be very careful going to Lowes for any major home improvement

You are wrong about $211 and hour for labor. The labor in your home is a small fraction of the installation charge.

They have to drive to the store to pick up the faucets before they drive to your home. The driving is done in a vehicle that has to be paid for in some way as well as the insurance, gas and maintenance for that vehicle. I'll bet they also used a number of tools that don't come free.

Then there is liability insurance and other business expenses the plumbers have to pay. On top of that, since you hired the plumbers through Lowes they add a hefty markup to what the plumbers get to pay for the time they spend in hiring the plumbers for you.

11% rebate scam | Lowes review from Washington, Indiana

I've been trying for 3 months to get my rebates submitted and accepted. Seem to receive a form email each time saying it didn't qualify or receipt did not have all info needed. It's a Lowe's receipt!? I had the rebate center submit the 1st one. They couldn't get it right. Sent all my info in to the rebate center multiple times. Today I was asked to send it in again. Told them I have better things to do, and if I ever set foot in Lowe's again, I'll be surprised. All over maybe $60.00.

What can you do if you are denied a rebate & the right paint was purchased & filed. I had 3 & only recieived one, 1 was denied the other is non't know where. I'm very MAD.
