Wonderfull post. How did they steal $900 form you.

Provide the facts to support your claim. How does the fact that you are black or a vet have anything to to with your claim of stealing money from you.

Is it ok to steal from people that aren't black or vets? It odd that you can make a claim with a few words but a response requires 50 words.

Lowes installed 20 now leaking hurricane windows almost 4 months ago. Installers admit that they sealed windows to the vinyl siding instead of the underlying waterproofing layer but LOWES still researching 'causation' while my house gets damaged with every rain. https://youtu.be/kBGkQlZUELE Below shows my house with plastic flapping in the wind. We had a pipe burst and our kitchen needed to be remodeled. We hired lowes to do it. When their contractor got in to the renovation they found mold in our walls. Lowe's Manager, Wayne, told us we had to get approval for their contractor to do the walls and he told us they could. They did not update our contract to reflect this, and did not tell us we could hire our own contractor. Their contractor then did a horrible job, our window leaks, they left a large space between the walls and the floor, enough for mice, squirrels and weasels to find their way into our house. They didn't install our dishwasher back in properly and it broke leaking all over our floors and peeling up the newly laid tile by my husband because their contractor ripped up our floors even though we had said to leave the old flooring and it wasn't in our contract and not approved so we had no floors when they were "done". Everything in our kitchen is 2 inches off center so our window frame had to be cut into to fit everything. They did not finish the job, you can still see under our cupboards to the wall. When I called to get them to come fix the damage they caused they said that a verbal agreement is not a contract and they are not responsible for any of the damage. Except the wall that the animals are coming in from isn't even the wall with mold. I've been talking to them for 4 months about this in the middle of winter with water pouring down into my kitchen every time it snows or rains from their horrible install.

Like the other person said, look for a place that offers free consultation with an attorney/lawyer and hope you have all necessary paperwork and emails from this Lowe incident. We're having an issue with Lowe's ourselves...this company needs to go out of business.

It's unacceptable for a store this large to associate themselves with unqualified contractors and to keep zero records of jobs being done. It would seem they are hiring cheaply and sucking dry their insurers by fixing unnecessary problems (poorly at that).

Lowe's hires subcontractors to do their installations. Some are good, others are not.

It is always best to hire a guy on your own to do the work and you two can agree on where the cabinets, etc. come from and what kind, etc. Allowing a big box store like Lowe's to do everything is a recipe for problems.

You can get a free consult with an attorney to see what you can do if the damage caused by Lowe's installers is worth your legal costs. One of life's lessons.

Lowes in Inverness, Florida - Installation scam

wanted to buy a storm door installation shown on price tag was $97.00. Man came to measure door (reeking of alcohol) When it came time to sign order there was an item for 3 pcs of wood @$37.00 $57.00 for installation of wood plus original $97.00 bringing total installation cost to $154.00. When I declined to purchase because of the extra cost they kept my $35.00 deposit. No wonder this company was in financial difficulties unless you are a contracter they really dont give a *** about you. Home Depot here I come.

had Lowe's bring me a new ice box when workers where bring it in they damaged my walls and a $250,000 dinning room set offered me only $3,000 to cover damage that won't even cover shipping to get my dinning room Furniture fix much less the two walls this happened almost 1 year ago . Fixing to fill in our court I think one year is long enough need to get everything fixed they also had me get a cost on the dinning room set cost me $2,000

Lowes in Roanoke, Virginia - Poor customer relations

Cerdit card account in good standing, and they close it WITHOUT my knowledge. When I called to find out they said it was because of a review of my credit history. No matter that my account was in good standing and I had ZERO issues on my account. They have now only hurt my credit even more, and for someone trying to rebuild and restructure, that hurts. Poor business. Never will I ever shop at Lowes again.

I worked for Lowes for 7 years and know that at times the credit card company would close accounts that hadn't been used for some time. They said it was to help dormant accounts from being used without the owner's knowledge. I don't know if that is true, but perhaps it might be?

Why are you complaining about Lowes? You do not have a credit account with Lowes.

Your account is with an independent credit company. My guess is that you didn't bother reading the fine print on the application when you opened the account. The fine print includes the fact that they may from time to time check your credit rating and adjust your credit limits accordingly. If your rating goes up they will increase your limits if it goes down they may decrease you limits or even close your account.

Issuing credit is a business that takes into account the risk of lending you money and how likely you are to pay it back. If you have fallen behind on other loans or the amount you have borrowed elsewhere has jumped and your income hasn't they may feel it is too risky to lend you more.

How likely are you to lend money to someone who may not be able to pay you back? It isn't their fault you got into a situation where your ratings dropped.

Sounds like someone exactly as you describe, can’t or won’t read - probably doesn’t earn enough to justify anyone giving them credit in the first place and now they’ve realized their mistake and the OP is upset and misguidedly targeting Lowe’s - well at least they learned to read the letter that was sent when the account was closed, too bad they didn’t read who actually sent the letter

Lowes Flooring puruchase Bedford, In Larry & Judy Kidwell 102 Shandell Dr Bedford, In 47421 812-545-9033 2/2 Install estimator came to our home for measurements 2/6 Received estimate from Lowes 2/6 Placed order with Lowes for flooring and paid in full 2/11 Materials delivered and placed in our attached garage. Advised installer will contact within 48 hours. 2/15 120hours later received install from installer and date was set at 2/21 2/20 Install office called at 11:00am and advised material needed to be in home for acclimation. Had material inside by noon 2/21 Installer arrived around 9:00am and could not install today do to material had not had time to acclimate. They advised install office would call back with new install date. 2/22 Had not heard from installer by 10:00am therefore I called install office and talked with Mona. She said installer told her the installers advised they couldn’t do install as material was in garage. She have a new install date of 2/27 2/27 Installers arrived 9:30am and installed a few pieces saying material was defective Advised us to contact asst mgr Cole at Lowes. 2/27 Went to Lowes at 4:00pm and talked with Cole. Explained to him what installers said about defective material. He made arrangements to pick up defective material and replace with new material and said he would contact install office for new install appointment. 2/28 Lowes picked up defective material and replace with new material. 3/4 Have heard nothing from Lowes or installers, called Cole at Lowes 12:30pm and shared with him have heard nothing. He indicated he would call install office. Install office called and advised new install date of 3/11 3/11 Installers arrived 10:15am and looked over material. Did not want to install and said material was made for self installers and there could be some seems that would be visible. We have been dealing with for over a month. I asked for them to go ahead and install. Very disappointed in the service. Install is now complete and satisfied with the install Larry & Judy Kidwell 3/11/2019

Lowes in Mount Laurel, New Jersey - Still no roof, leaks possible mold building

we signed a contract on November 30, 2018 for a roof installation. Hurricane Michael left our roof damaged and leaking, and we went to Lowes with the assumption that we would get prompt and reliable service. here it is four months later and still no roof. We have heard many excuses as to why we have no roof, but enough is enough. your services lack reliability!

Lowes - 6month trying to get fence fix

Lowes to install fence with 3 gates . Rep didn't know there was metal post to reinforce post even though there was a six foot sign saying what you need. When asked about it he was clueless. fence not right, after a lot of calls and going to store it is six month and the people who are to fix the fence are the same one that installed it. trying to cut corner , when I was paying to have work done they said post needed replaced, when their paying for it , it doesn't need replaced . You talk to everyone in the chain and nothing gets done so you have to keep calling or going up to the store. When they finally did come to do the fence they took down a lot of the fence and said they would be there the next day, no calls then calls to them no return call, call to them the next day finally answers the phone was told they might get to me , it is now on a Friday not here , I have a big dog can't use yard due to this. They took down the fence and then had to order the parts. Their doing another job so their trying to fit me in they have my money so who cares. if Lowes has anything to do with it RUN as fast as you can. Do it yourself even if you don't know how, you will do a better job and save on the headache and money. Fence still not done. A lot of why they can't do it or I didn't know and I'm sorry but still not getting anything done. Remember RUN as FAST as you can. Don't care about your yard throwing cigarettes butts all over the place.
