Lowes - Southwire Crimpers Review from Garland, Texas

Bought a pair of 9" yellow/black SouthWire crimpers that are in their electrical aisle. The section where they used to carry Greenlee, Klein, and Ideal. Now all they carry is made in China ***. My crimpers broke at the jaw when I was making a crimp. I found out that Home depot carries Klein. I will shop at home depot from now on until lowes gives a *** about carrying a quality tool for an independent contractor or the diy kind of person. If I want chinese *** I will go to Harbour freight and pay a few dollars for it. Don't charge me $28 for *** *** chinese made pliers. I'll pay $28 forquality tools. I went to home depot and purchased Klein crimpers for $30 You may not care but I'm not the only person that sees the problem with the product you are carrying and acting like it's a quality product.

Your company is ripping off your credit card customers. U charge finance charges on finance charges. Every month my payment gets used on more finance charges. This month u took the payment out of my acct twice, instead of crediting my bank acct as I was told, u decide to reimburse me with a check. As soon as my appliances r paid off, I am never doing business with Lowe's again. Your new credit company stinks.

Your issue is not with Lowes, it's with the card company who OWNS THE LOWES CREDIT CARD. Lowes does not get a dime from the card besides what you bought.

The interest rates and other chargers go to the card company who owns and operates the Lowes credit card. All big box store credit cards work this way. The only reason they offer a credit card is for an exclusive way to pay for their goods. It's all marketing.

They want to give you as many options as possible to buy from them increasing their profits.

It is not Lowes or the employees fault. Yes they should have kept you up to date on everything, but it is not the stores fault for not getting things shipped from the warehouse, or vendors when they are supposed to.

Sold me a product they didn't have. Even called and confirmed the delivery date of the product twice. Received a third call from them then saying they were out of the product and would be able to deliver it until the following year sometime. Wouldn't even sell me a comparable product at the same price which they are obligated to do. Won't shop at lowes again.

Do you actually think retail stores make the products they sell? They gave you a delivery date based on when the manufacturer of the product said it would be shipped.

At some point they were informed it wouldn't arrive till next year. Lowes has no control over manufacturing or shipping delays (check the news, West coast dock workers are slowing shipping on ships coming in on the west coast).

If you ordered the same product from another store that had to rely on delivery from the same manufacturer do you think it would get to you any quicker? Wake up and join the real world.

Lowes in Burton, Michigan - Didn't repair my washing machine.

I totally agree, I bought a whirlpool washing machine on 9/17/2014. Took me 3 weeks to get it, then it quit working 1 week after I got it. Called Lowe's, scheduled a repair for that Saturday. said they would be out between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. I waited all day no one showed up. Called Lowe's that evening and their response was inconvenient isn't it. They scheduled another repair with another company said they would be out that Thursday. That company called me a day later and said they couldn't do it for another two weeks. Lowe's said well, they have their own schedule, nothing we can do about it. The repair service came out today put a little plug in the socket said hears your problem, your outlet is bad and that is what ruined your washing machine. Nothing we can do for you till you get your outlet fixed. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my electrical outlets!! They sell *** appliances and don't want to repair them if something goes wrong!! I've learned my lesson!! Will never do business with Lowe's again!!!!

This bank handles CREDIT cards for hundreds of stores & the stores are just as guilty as the "EVIL CORPORATIONS" they use to manage there credit cards.

If you have a credit card with a store that uses this bank you need to look & see if you have been charged illegally. Why are you complaining about Lowes and not about Whirlpool? Whirlpool made the washer and provides the warranty service.

Loves is just the middle man. As far as your outlets go, I would expect you may have a grounding problem you need to have looked at.

Got my fridge in finally. In regards to your comment, my answer would be that I want less jerking around.

I am not as educated as you probably are in this area, and all I get are weekly broken promises that it'll be delivered.

Had I been given the info that you provided rather than a weekly call telling me that it'll be in next week for about 2 months, I wouldn't be on this board.

Anyway, fridge made it and all is right with the world. lowes even let me keep an extra freezer shelf from the old one.

I just switched to home depot from Lowes watered down paint .I had a problem there brought it to the paint station s attention and guess what .ur screwed the assistant manager Tim Swanson is a little mouthy *** that works there that has absolutely no people skills .and martin the drug attict in paints .they need to find people that help you not there to argue at u or wrongly match paint .just a warning !!go to home depot much better .I don't need a response back I'm just done dealing with that store bye bye to all the paint I buy there in that store.a holes

Well, their paint department is awful , they have no system in place. I once bought two gallons of paint which were supposed to be flat.

Got it home and on the last gallon a few hours later and after I am covered in paint I found out that the second paint can was satin not flat. Which explains why the associate put his thumb on the dab of paint on the outside of the can. To dull it ya think? It's the entire experience at Lowe's that's awful.

HD is much better. People know what they are doing and seem to actually like working there. They say hello...they smile...they say thank you...

Today I was at Lowes to buy paint and the guy at the counter ignored me.

He proceeded to speak to the a woman who came over to the counter and flirt with her. She was put off by his behavior, especially when he started to lean over the counter and practically drool on her. She left and I was still standing there. He never once said hi, never said I will be with you in a moment.

Nada. Then another woman came over and he told me he was going to quickly answer her question before helping me. I could have had a question too..no? She went on at length so my wait was even longer.

Finally when he was done with her he looked at me and said "Gee, I didn't expect her question to be so long". I don't like going to this store at all, my experiences have almost always been negative.

Even one of the cashiers I have spoken to over the years told me the management there doesn't care. Imagine that ...
