12 months same as cash

I purchased a saw from lowes on the 12 months same as cash plan. When I received my first statement I noticed that it said that it was deferred interest with pay. When I went in to pay my bill I ask the clerk what that meant. She said that is 12 months same as cash. I had made a partial payment and then every month I made a payment. I realized they were charging me interest I went into the store to tell them about it and she said that it was the bank and they had nothing to do with it. She gave me the number and said you can call them here. She never offered to use their phone. I told her that I would never do business with them again.

I didn't read the fine print, or any print, but it doesn't matter YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS AT FAULT. I really get sick of listening to these people, and I can't say any thing. Boy it makes me mad.

Guest

They offered a 12 months no interest plan. If you pay off the product in 12 months there would be no interest charged.

Your statement shows the deferred interest (what you will be charged if you haven't paid in full by the ned of 12 months).

Due to changes in Federal laws you are required to make a monthly payment toward your purchase. In the past this wasn't required and too many people came to the end of the 12 months and couldn't pay the purchase off and complained about all the interest they had to pay.

Lowe's bigoted bias unacceptable

It is NOT within the scope of Lowe's, nor the Mayor of Dearborn to judge one of the world's greatest religions. As someone who has always preferred Lowe's in the past twenty years (including rebuilding multiple homes and doing thousands of dollars of business each year), I am horrified that Lowe's would attempt to vilify Islamic families at the bequest of right wing fundamentalist Christians! The fact that Lowe's is trying to promote fear and hatred has resulted in our very large family and extended family AND church family to permanently boycott all Lowe's stores. I am disgusted and appalled by a company making politics and religion a part of it's business advertising plan!

Don't care what the religious preferences of the OP, Reality or SWisser are. No one is asking Lowes not to adhere to the U.S.

Constitution or its amendments thereto. What the uproar is over is the perception that Lowes is being pressured to advertise based on religious beliefs. If they do advertise on American Muslims they are vilified for supporting a rouge (albeit large) religion, but if they pull advertising, then Lowes is vilified for caving into outside pressures.

Every major war was fought over religion. It sounds like that is what's brewing over Lowes' advertising choices.

Paulette M Kzw

I looked up the show on TLC and it is a reality show about Americans who happen to be Muslim.

Reality's post on 16 Dec 11 is correct... Lowes can freely choose who they sponsor but as Americans we believe in diversity and freedom and free exercise of religion.

Also, using the term "fundamental Islam" is a trigger word deemed problematic by those who suggest that Islamic belief requires all Muslims to be fundamentalists...this is not true.

I AM NOT A MUSLIM rather an American (Catholic, if your wondering) who believes in The First Amendment to the United States Constitution that states:

1. This amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion

2. Impeding the free exercise of religion, 3. Abridging the freedom of speech,

4. Infringing on the freedom of the press, 5. Interfering with the right to peaceably assemble, just to name a few.

This being so, why is it right for Lowes to pull their ads?

Because Lowes received complaints from the Florida Family Assn., a conservative Christian group that lobbies companies to promote "traditional, biblical values?"

Really? What if it was a show about Fundamentalist Mormonism, aka FLDS?

Guest

After reading Reality's response to the original posting, it makes me proud that someone has the good sense to stand up for Lowes and put the finger of blame right where it belongs - at the entertainment industry trying to ridicule us for thinking that a TV show about Islam is way off base.

Way to set the record straight - Reality. Nice going.

Lowes can FREELY choose who they sponser. This is America.

Lowes vilified nobody. American companies owes Islam nothing. I owe them nothing. Islam is only great in numbers.

That's it.

It was fundamental Islam that brought us 9-11-01. You are obviously looking through Islamic colored glasses.

Lowes cuts back on discounts to veterans

My husband and I have been loyal Lowes customers for years. Approximately one year ago, we were pleased to learn of Lowes veterans discount. J** served our country in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, and Haiti. While in those countries, he was blown up on three occasions, losing some of his comrades and suffering injuries of his own. Today, we visited our local, Texas store in Atascocita (7355 FM 1960 Rd. East 77346), and discovered that Lowes has now changed its veterans discount policy. We are only allowed discounts four times per year? I wonder how the people of the United States would react if our soldiers only chose to protect this country four days per year. I assume that the policy has changed in the face of too many men and women returning from war torn countries and trying to take advantage of a 10% discount. What if the military and Department of State elected to only offer the rest of us, as U.S. citizens, 10% protection in the face of terrorism? I'm more disappointed in your decision than I can put into words. A small discount seems little to offer in the face of what these men and women have sacrificed for the rest of us.

Hi, I am Chris from FootballAffiliates.com. With football seaosn here we are looking for website owners who want to significantly increase what their site is earning.

We offer a 50% commission (which is $23-25 per sale). Our product converts like crazy and really sells itself. Millions of people want to watch football online and our product fills their need. Most of our affiliates just place one of our banners on their site and they make anywhere from $25-$500 per day.

Even if your website is not about football we've had people simply write one article and place a text link to our product and they earn hundreds per month. If you like more information please check out our high level description at FootballAffiliates.com or you can view our affiliate platform. If you have any questions I welcome them, please send me an email and we can discuss anything you would like to know.

Thanks for your time. Chris

I applaude our soldiers; be they active or retired or any other honerable status in between.

If Lowes decides to take away the discount does this make them a horrible company? NO it does not!

So what is being said is that once a discount is given it can't be stopped? What sort of entitlement mongering is that? Do you not shop at other places that do not give a discount and never have? I think not!

Are they horrible companies because they don't give a discount? Once again the answer is NO.

I am truly sorry for the veterans that were injured in battle or otherwise.

But you cannot tell me that you didn't know the dangers of joining a military. Did you honestly think that you would sit around the barracks playing soldier while getting paid to do so, and never have to go to war?

Guest

Where did you get the Idea that the military is entitled to be shot at, Roadside Bombed, blown up, Killed, And tortured to protect your retarded *** A&&? They are entitled.

Lets fly you over and drop you off in the sand box and then after 2 years bring you home and not give you anything for it. Dont *** with the Vets you punk.

And to the Vets and actives Thank you. I love my freedom!

Guest

To ????, you are an ignorant ***

Guest

enjoy your military discount. lowes just cut all commissions and spiffs from their sales specialists. this should cover the military discount fully without an additional nickel from the corporation.

Guest

I always am thankful lowes and another gives this 10% discount. No limits.

Almost no restrictions. Every day of the year they are open.

This is a private company trying to say thank you.

Thank you lowes for the support of our military.

Guest

You need a valid military or veterans id. A dd-14 could belong to anyone and could be printed online.

It also takes up way too much time at a register to have to look for what kind of discharge you got and then to have to check another form of id. This policy was put into place so people weren't scamming and printing fake discharge papers to get a discount. Wouldn't you feel less honored of we didn't care to check?

And ps.. Most places will take the dd-14 even though it is against policy because we do support the troops.

Guest

Lowes gives a discount for veterans every day as long as there is a valid military photo ID. you can use a dependency card, VA card or active card.

on patriotic holidays we offer the 10% to those with or without the ID.

so a dd214 will work only on those days. hope this helped.

Guest

Where did you get the idea that the military is entitled to ANY discount? I don't think it is a part of the benefits package.

Should teachers, police and fire employees get a discount as well? How about the clergy, students, doctors, nurses?

Where do you stop? Be thankful for any discount that is offered.

Lowes Scams

What a scam Lowes is running, they now sell these discounted Pellet Stoves, about 3/4 of what a local stove shop sells them for. Not worth even looking, they don't have a clue where to get the pipe to make the stoves work, they basically sell you an ornament for your living room to set the mail on! Try the store mgr, try the district mgr, they are clueless about these stoves to. They could care less, they got the sale already and they can only tell you to special order the pipes. You get to guess what you need and then pay for the special order and shipping!

I PURCHASED A MAYTAG DISHWASHER ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO AT LOWES IN APPLETON, WI. I HAD TROUBLE WITH THE DETERGETN DISPENSER RIFHT FROM THE BEGINNING.

TO ADD TO THE PROBLEM, MY FINGERS GOT STUCK IN THE OPENING HANDLE MANY TIMES. IT IS NOT FUN TO HAVE YOUR FINGERTIPS STUCK IN THE HANDLE AS YOU ARE WALKING AWAY. NOW MY DISHWASHER DOES NOT TURN ON ON ALL CHOICES. MY FAVORITE DOES NOT LIGHT UP.

THAT WAS YESTERDAY. TODAY, A COUPLE OF CHOICES LIGHT UP BUT, WHEN CHOSEN, DON'T WORK. I CALLED LOWES TO SEE IF THERE IS SOMEONE TO TALK TO ABOUT THE PANEL, IF IT IS JUST A PROBLEM WITH THE COMPUTERIZED PANEL AND HE DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING AT ALL. HE SUGGESTED THAT I CALL SOME 800 NUMBER TO FIND SOMEONE WHO COULD TALK TO ME ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.

I SAID I MIGHT END UP TALKING TO SOMEONE IN NEW JERSEY AND HE SAID THAT IS POSSIBLE. I SAID IT WASN'T HIS FAULT, BUT WOULDN'T BE BETTER TO HAVE A LIST OF LOCAL PERSONS WHO CAN ADDRESS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR APPLIANCES WHEN A PROBLEM OCCURS. "HE DIDN'T KNOW." I DON'T KNOW IF I HAVE TO BUY A NEW DISHWASHER OR HAVE IT FIXED AND HE COULDN'T HELP ME.

MY HUSBAND WALKED IN AND SAID HE SMELLED SMOKE AND IT WAS NEAR THE DISHWASHER. :cry :cry :cry :cry

Lowes

I just purchased my first home and went to Lowes in Meriden, CT on Sunday at approximately 6 pm. I chose paint colors from their paint wall and ordered paint to be picked up first thing the next morning. When I arrived at the store the next morning I was told the store had been closed and denied entry. I was directed to another Lowes. I drove to the other Lowes and proceeded to the paint counter to explain my situation. I was then told by the man behind the counter that I would have to wait 15 mins before he could help me as I was "not a priority." I wandered around for the 15 mins and then went back to the counter. I gave the man the paint swatches from the Lowes wall in Meriden and asked that he make the colors in a gallon. I also had the sample size jars of the paint with me and the color codes on them. He proceeded to mix the first gallon and when it was showed to me it was not even close to the color I chose. The man sighed but agreed it was not the color. He told me he had to help the other customers and then could try my paint again. So I was again sent away for 15 mins to wander the store. I found a manager and explained my situation and my concern with the situation I was presented with. He assured me they would take care of it and led me back to the paint counter. The man then attempted to mix my paint, which I remind you is a Valspar Lowes paint color. Again the color does not even come close to the swatch or the sample. At this point the man tells me they will have to do a custom color match through the computer and that once again I need to go away and come back in twenty minutes this time. I once again agreed as I needed the paint because the painters were already at my house waiting on me to bring the paint. The man tried a third time to make the paint which once again did not come out correct. At this point the man told me I was being "difficult" and that it was close and I should just "deal with it." To this the woman behind me stood up and told the man the color was not even close and that I was not being "difficult." At this point I went to the customer service desk and again asked to speak to the manager. He came back out and told me the man at the paint counter was a master and he was the only one who could do it so that was obviously the best color I could get. They were not at all helpful and at this point it had been almost 4 hours since my Lowes ordeal began at the first Lowes store. I was so upset that I walked out of the store and found a Home Depot. I explained my situation and in 10 minutes I had my paint prefectly matched and was on my way!!!!!! I will forever be a Home Depot customer after this experience!!! AVOIDS LOWES at all cost!!!!!!!

Guest

I'm having a paint issue with Lowe's right now that I'm hoping to have resolved tonight. I do not like Valspar paint, but I do like Olympic that they carry. I've always been able to get Valspar colors mixed in Olympic paint. I understand that it might not be exact, but as long as it is close, I'm fine with it.

There is a color of pink I want for my dining room. It is very pale, but definitely pink. Got a sample mixed in Olympic last week and it was almost perfect. I went yesterday to get a gallon mixed. It was hard to tell wet, but it looked close. I get it home and start painting, it comes on a gray-tan color. Not even close to pink.

I took a picture of the color next to the sample of the supposed same shade painted on the wall and you can tell even in a cell phone picture, it is not even in the same ballpark. I called last night and talked to a guy that said bring it in and they can mess with it and fix it.

So I went back in this morning and I explained that I like the lightness of the color, I wanted a very pale color, just a color that was clearly pink and not gray or tan. I pointed out again before he worked with it that I wanted a very light color.

He takes it behind the counter, pinks with it, and shows me the result. My supposed pale blush is now close to hot pink. I tell him WAY too dark and he works with it again. A little lighter, but still nowhere close to being close. Then a girl comes over and works with it. It's now a salmon mess.

She then says well I should have just gotten the Valspar in the first place. Besides the fact that I hate the thickness and sheen of Valspar it's $12 more per gallon. I told her I can't stand the consistency of Valspar and that I understand it might not be an exact match I just wanted something slightly close.

I left with my salmon paint and tried it. It's the worst yet. I'm going to try to get a manager tonight and see what can be done.

Jessica T Aer

There is no such thing as a 'paint master'. The people who work in Lowe's paint department are merely employees who have received a bit of extra training (mainly to learn, via computer, how to operate the machinery within that department specifically) and most of them opted to transfer out of the front end/cashiering department to avoid dealing with customers anymore than they absolute have to. It's absolutely ridiculous.

These indiviuals left me hanging twice, to go and help these white people instead.

I went to Lowe's to look for a washer and dryer. One of the service men said that he would be right with me, and he went of head to help these white people. And minutes later another service man said that he would be right with me and the other guy came back and said that he did not forget about me, yet and still he brought white people back with him that he helped before he would help me. And the other guy that said he would be with me went to help these other white people instead of me. I stood there waiting for help for thirty minutes and I just could not take it any more so I left nearly in tears. I was pissed at the way I was treated as though I was not there.

Liar, I was not checked out because I'm white! Lowes hates white people!

I was invisible ... Lowes is racist against whites!

Guest

OMG!! Race again everything is about race, that's what wrong with America it's crazy!!

Shop at Lowes and it turns into a racial war online.I am looking for cabinets for Gods Sake and see a bunch of people who knows absolutely nothing about getting along with each other to at least make a dent in this crazy screwed up country of ours where everyone would rather hate each other and use hurtful words, You should all be ashamed of yourselves!!! Grow UP!!!

Ely C

Im so sick of black people always complaining about how they get disrespected. They dont mind it when they are talkn trash about white people and calling them cracker or honky or whatever but god forbid u say something back to them then its racism.

Racism works both ways.

Why should the white people be quiet and afraid but the black can run their mouths. Just shut the *** up.

Guest

I'm gonna have to go along with the original poster on this one, only in the other side of the coin, as it were; It makes me ashamed to be white when I go walking through a section such as appliances (especially at Lowe's).

Invariably, one of the department staff jump through their own *** to help me, stopping cold while they are clearly in the middle of assisting a man, woman or couple of color.

It seems clear to me that the sales staff are in dire need of re-training and perhaps a corporate sponsored sociology class.

Salespeople, you are on notice: The money in the pocket of that person of color you just insulted is just as green as mine. You guys need to stop worrying about your commission based on your obviously incorrect perceptions and get your priorities straight.

Guest

Yo dawg yo retarded! I guess they shoulda brought you a 40 and allowed you to park your benz in the store while you shopped uh?

Guest

When people want to get special treatment they just pull out their "race" card… Just the way you say "White People" means that you are as racist as the person you are accusing…

Guest

As you can see from the person who asks, "how you know those White people weren't there first?" People just don't want to believe that this is a common experience that Blacks go through on a daily basis. In my similar experience at Lowes, It was more blatant and confirmed by the Customer service Employee's comment to me about being in a predominately White neighborhood, as his justification for this treatment.

In actuality, I was clearly there first and the employee put me on hold three times to help White customers that came up and just interrupted us and he would walk away and leave me hanging there, until I finally confronted him on his behavior. My point is that the public's first response is to defend this behavior and automatically doubt the complaint if it comes from a Black person.

Guest

I had the exact same experience at lowes from one of their Hispanic Customer Service Employees that kept doing the exact same thing to me and when I confronted him about this treatment, he told me that I was in a predominately White neighborhood. I wrote to the corporate office and got an email response. I have not seen that employee working there any longer, but I seriously doubt if his departure from Lowes had any connection to my letter to Lowes corporate office.

Guest

Can you explain to me how you knew those white people weren't there first?

Oh, and hahahahahaha

Lowes overcharging/debit rip off

I went to Lowes in North Canton, Ohio to make a purchase. The cashier told me my total was $1,200. I told her that sounded high when I gave her my debit card. She finished the transaction and handed me m receipt. I stood there and looked at the receipt and did not allow the next customer to proceed. I told her that she over charged me about $100- $150 and handed her back my receipt. She said that a supervisor would have to fix this at the service desk. After waiting 15 minutes in line, the supervisor Angela got to me. I told her the situation. She said that the ONLY way that she could fix this was to refund my $1200 from my checking account (which would take 48 hours) and now charge me an additional $1050 -$1100 again from my checking account. Thus I would need to leave there paying $2300 for my $1100 order and wait for 48 to get $1200 back... absurd... to fix $100 overpay she must charge an additional $1100... what if I didnt have an extra $1100 to "loan" Lowes for 2 days? I told her that was unacceptable. She refunded my order (which will take 2 days) and I left with nothing. I left a complaint on the Lowes website asking for a call immediately... gave work, home and cell telephone numbers- still no call back. DO not shop at any LOWES.

I ordered 2 windows and 2 doors. They wanted me to sign a blank contract as both were custom sizes.

When I requested the order be spelled out on the contract they were very upset with me, how dare I ask them to tell me what I'm paying for. Like everyone else it took 5 trips to Lowes, numerous phone calls and they were installed after almost 3 months.

Then I see on my Visa bill they overcharged me over $700. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH LOWES AGAIN.

Why would anybody in thier right mind continue to go ahead with the order when they wanted you to sign a blank contract? As soon as they wanted you to sign a blank contract, you should’ve got up, walked out and never looked back.

Guest

I shopped at Lowes in Florida at 8700 West Colonial Drive, Orlando 32818 (4**) **2-6884. Receipt # 33063 0*** *56 store 0642 Terminal 33 on 2/25/2019 at 1300.

The discount shown on the bill was never reflected in the amount charged.

They do not answer their phones. Watch your bill and check it out carefully before leaving the store.

Guest

All you had to do was return the items, at which point you would have gotten cash back since it was paid with a debit card. Then they should have rerung your purchases.

I worked for Lowes for 6 years on the front end. I cannot understand why they have to make such a big deal over this.

They obviously were not trained properly. This is why people stop shopping at Lowes.

Guest

If they are going to put a hold on your card, It should be posted CLEARLY at the pump so you have the option to decline. Just like a atm machine.

Guest

Then what good is a debit card? :?

Guest

No, the correct answer is to never use a debit card at a store or especially at a hotel, car rental, or gas station. Use a CREDIT card. Good to use debit on PIN purchases only.

Don't use Lowe's unprofessional, dishonest installers!

DO NOT use Lowe's garage door opener installers! They are not professionals, are not honest, and Lowe's will be of no help if you have a problem with their work! After 26 years of service, the old garage door opener at my former residence (now a rental) broke. The sprocket that drives the chain broke, leaving the chain hanging. The door would still go up and down just fine, and my tenants, who have motorcycles, used it daily for a little over two weeks. I purchased a top of the line garage door opener at Lowe's, and also paid them to have an installer come put it in. After two weeks of waiting and several calls to Lowe's, the installer met me at the rental. I let him in, and since the tenant was home, I left to go home (1-mile away) and eat dinner. Half an hour later, I got a call from the installer, saying my garage door was "in really bad shape," and that he had to go. This was followed by a call from the tenant, saying the installer had left the door stuck half-way open. I went to the rental to investigate, and found the cables wound/tangled around the axis shaft. I cut the cables in order to get the door shut for the night. The next day, I called Lowe's, and spoke with the woman I'd talked to when I purchased the opener and installation. She stated that I had signed a contract clearing Lowe's of responsibility for any incidental damage to my property. I asked to speak with a manager, and was given the same information in a slightly rude manner. I called a local overhead door company, who came and replaced the cables on the door. I asked them to fix anything else they saw needing attention, since the installer had told me the door was "in really bad shape." They looked carefully at everything, and concluded that the only thing wrong was the cables needed replacing after the installer had released tension on them and not re-wound them properly. I sent an e-mail to Lowe's via their website, and received a reply that I would be contacted via e-mail within 24-hours by the store manager. I was hoping for (at a minimum) a refund of my installation fee, since the repair had cost $25 more than the installation. Four days later, I received a call from the store manager, who took all of my information and said he would investigate the situation and get back to me. This was the last I have heard from anyone at Lowe's, despite a follow-up e-mail and three phone calls to the store. DO NOT use Lowe's installers! They are not professionals, and neither are they honest. I am extremely disappointed in Lowe's, and I will drive across the state before shopping there again.

Lowe's Pro, how long have you been working as an internet spin doctor for Lowe's? That's very cute how you blame the victim for Lowe's installer's wrongdoing.

FYI, and I should have included this in my review, I cut the cables because the installer ran away and wouldn't answer his phone or call me back.

They were hopelessly tangled around the axis bar. The only other option would have been an expensive evening call out from a real professional.

Guest

Lowe's covers all installs for up to 1 year unless you do something *** like "CUT THE CABLES" Seriously this is universal no matter who you have install just about anything. Don't cut anything when someone else (a professional) is doing the install or repairing an installation issue. This is common sense.

Guest

I, too, am sorely disappointed with Lowe's installers. I bought a washer and dryer from my local Lowe's store ( in New Bern, NC).

The units were delivered, but the dryer's duct was not long enough. I was told this, and also that the maintenance man at the apartments where I live would have to install finish the installation. The maintenance man did, and he had to go and buy a longer one. I went to Lowe's and talked to the manager there, who told me that this was all the installers were required to do.

I asked him what I was supposed to do if the apartments' maintenance man had not been willing to do it, and he told me that in that case I would have had to hire someone to finish the installation.

I told him that this is shoddy service and I would never darken the doors of Lowe's again. He simply said, "Okay." He was also somewhat terse and rude with me.

Hot water tank install

I purchased a40 tall hot water tank, when the subcontractor came to install the hot water tank they brought a short and proceeded to tell my wife a tall would not fit, when my wife explained that we ordered a tall and that is what we had they still explained it would not fit, not saying they did not even have the tall on the truck. Bait and switch, I would not recommend LOWES nor trust the subcontractors. We paid extra for a local plumber and they stated they cloud install the tall with no additional work, and stated our ceiling is 8'6".

When I bought a 40 gallon hot water tank I paid $341 for the installation. Then when the installer came to the house he informed me I needed to pay an additional $369 in order to bring the tank up to "code" bringing the total up to $710.

I called the installation office at the Lowe's and told them that these surprise costs where wrong. I was told by the install office that the Diamond Co. charges $2500 to install a hot water tank so our prices were fair. I also had a toilet install the same day and the toilet tank wobbles back and forth.

When I pointed this out to the installer he told me to "be careful" and put a piece of styrofoam behind the tank. When I complained to install office about this I was told that the reason it wobbled was because the tank wasn't resting against the wall ?? From this time on I will not trust Lowe's installation and will never do business with any installer sent by Lowe's.

I really feel that I should have gone on Service Magic and gotten bids for the installation. The worst part of my working with Lowe's is feeling as if I have been taken advantage of and the regret that I trusted their company.

Employee stole my jacuzzi after I paid for it

I found a jacuzzi that someone had special ordered in Lowes in Jonesboro, AR, that was marked way down because the customer didn't take it after it came in. I decided to purchase the jacuzzi and asked a employee to help me get it to the checkout desk. The boy was nice and told me that was a great buy, but he could not move it by himself. He asked another employee to help him take it to the front for me. The second boy came over to help him and I heard him say he couldn't believe that jacuzzi had been marked down so much then he told the first employee for him to wait because that jacuzzi maybe already sold. He then got on the phone and I heard him telling the person he was talking to that there was a great buy on a jacuzzi just like the one they wanted. After I heard him say that, I said this jacuzzi is already sold because I'm buying it. When I said that he knew we could hear him talking so he left while still talking on the phone. The first guy told me that he couldn't do that because there wasn't a sold sign on it and he probably saw that is was a good buy and decided he wanted someone else to have it. He then found someone else to help him move the jacuzzi to the checkout desk for me. It had already been rain up and I had paid for it with my credit card when that boy came up and told the checkout clerk that I could not buy that jacuzzi because it was already sold. The checkout clerk then told me that she was sorry and would credit my credit card. I told her no that there was no sold sign on it and what had happened but she went ahead and credited my card and told me again she was sorry. I asked to speak to the manager so she got on the phone and called someone and told me it would be just a minute so I waited 35 mins and I never saw a manager. In the mean time the boy that wanted the jacuzzi had someone help him move it to the side and he placed a sold sign on it. I decided that I had waited long enough and would just go home and call the manager so I did. I did get to talk to the manager and tell him what happened and he said there was nothing he could do about it because the jacuzzi had a sold sign on it and was waiting on someone to pick it up. I even told him to check out the time that the transaction was made on my card when I paid for it and then check what time the other person had actually paid for it and he would find that I had already purchased it before the other person had actually come in to the store to pay for it. He just blew me off still saying there wasn't anything he could do about it. I will never buy anything else at Lowes!

Awhile back I signed for a special order. she was watching me yet as I was leaving the store with the merchandise, she stops me and asks for proof that I purchased the item. everyone was watching me like I was a criminal. I am a General Contractor and did over $50,000.00 with lowes last year. Now most of my business is go9ing to home depot because I AM TIRED OF IT!!!!

Lowe's corporate headquarters number

If any of you are having the problem I am having getting any satisfation our of Lowes' try their corporate headquarters in N.C., 704-758-****. Yes it's long distance from California, but if you're having as much trouble with Lowe's customer service as I am this may be your best bet. I ordered a vanity and it came in the wrong size, they ordered me another vantiy and it came in the wrong size. I've been promised a call from regional managers and have not received any communication. I called the corporate headquarters and hope they contact me... but I'm not holding my breath.

If you want to do a favor to your self do not do business with lowe's the are the crappiest

....If you're planning a home improvement project in the Fayetteville, NC area whatever you do, don't do business with Lowe's store number 388 located on Skibo Rd. I ordered fourteen replacement windows from them on September 5, 2014 and it's now October 29 with no end in sight as to when the project will be completed.

Their salesman over promised and under-delivered, will not return phone calls. They have screwed everything up since the very beginning, ordering thirteen windows instead of the fourteen. Their employee's have a defiant, arrogant attitude that sends the impression that they can treat you any way they want to and theirs nothing we the customer can do about it. They are very good at passing the buck onto someone else and sticking a pacifier in the customers mouth.

A call to the home office on October 21st. didn't accomplish anything either, same attitude and same passing the buck to someone else. They have to be trained that way because their is no way all of them them can be singing off the same page.

They think problem resolution is talking and passing the buck. They have got their last dime from me.

Do not deal with Newport News Va store for roofing. The roofer used long nails that damaged our overhang on our craftsman style home.

We now have cracked wood with nails protruding out. We asked the roofer to use shorter nails but he said he was covered by the contract that it was the proper length nail. We called other roofers and they said they should have used shorter nails on the overhang. We called Owens Corning and they sent us an email stating that for craftsman style homes shorter nails should be used to not damage overhangs and the shingle would still be covered under their warranty.Lowe's will not shave down nails and correct the problem.

They will only come out and glue back cracked wood and paint nails if we sign a waiver. I have called Lowe's headquarters and they tell me someone will call to talk to me, but they always end up sending the same contractor that did the damage.I have asked for a fax number to Lowe's headquarters so that I can send them the pictures of the damaged roof and the letter from Owens Corning but to no avail.

They are rude and have no remorse for the damage they have done. Don't let the fact that they are a nationwide chain fool you into thinking that they care about the quality of their work or that they will correct any issues.I regret using them.

Lowes "customer service" department manager in hermitage Pa that I dealt with recently was HORRIBLE!!!!!!! RUDE AND MEAN!

I CANT BELIEVE LOWES WOULD HIRE THAT TYPE OF PERSON....ESPECIALLY CUSTOMER SERVICE??? NEVER AGAIN!

HOME DEPOT HERE I COME!!!

Ordered custom a blind (expensive blind) from the Shole Creek Lowes in Austin Texas in January 2013---still trying to get them.. of course they have my money and won't refund it.

7 months should be enough time. Don't bother complaining to the 1-800-44 LOWES they just log it tell you a manager will contact you in 2 days..

in 7 months they never have! I get a department employee..Don't know how they stay in business

I have recently made 2 orders on-line for items that were supposed to be delivered to the store for my pickup. Both times that I called customer service on the delivery date, I discovered that the items were not ever ordered by Lowes, causing me significant delays. They even admit to not ordering the items and neglecting to notify me.

What's the sense even ordering anything?

Basically, they suck. If they don't have it in the store, don't order it because they don't care about on line orders.

My stove stop working on June 24th, service came June 29th. Told us it would take 2 weeks for the parts to come in.

No one called us, so we called them and they told us the parts were in. Service man came and replaced the parts 7/16, and the stove still didn't work. Still waiting to hear from Lowes after many calls if they are going to fix or replace the unit. Worst c/s I have ever experienced in my life.

I am so frustrated I wrote a letter to the BBB.

We purchased a Samsung Steam dryer and an extended protection plan / Service Advantage plan. On 07/09/14 we reported the dryer was not drying .

After much haggling we eventually got a technician to come to check the dryer and in minutes he determined the heater had to be replaced . We were told it would take 3 working days to arrive . Today is 07/22/14 and we have had no call from Lowes .

When I called today I learnt that Lowe's cancelled our order and no heater has been ordered.

This is such poor management !

Ordered $10,300 in new cabinets, due 07/02/13. Now delayed until 07/17/13; unknown why.

Ordered new $1,600 KitchenAid range; They tried to deliver it with the side smashed in, warming tray bent and front glass falling out- offered me 15% off if I would accept it. I'm still waiting for a replacement range which currently looks like another two weeks of waiting added to the first 4 weeks. Ordered special dimmer switches for my lighting with two day shipping. They shipped in two days as promised, but the order was delayed in handling by four days; no reason given for the delay.

Ordered a new acrylic sink from the Lowes online store ATG. They showed the sink as available, but it wasn't and two weeks later I'm still waiting for my sink to ship. I just found out that ATG is nothing more than a call center; you call and they send your order to the manufacturer to be processed. They keep nothing in stock because they aren't a supplier with a warehouse.

I have started to shop at Home Depot since Lowes has continuously delayed the progression of my project and hasn't met a single promised delivery date; except the one where they delivered my check to their bank.

How many times does it take for you to learn your lesson. If after that many problems you are still ordering from them, I begin to wonder what your IQ is.

Poor customer service

i was in lowes on jefferson hwy today, looking for assistance. the only employees i could find were all at the back door, laughing it up, laid back, and looked at me as if i were intruding into their living room. i thought maybe they were on break, but they all had their vests on, and were on the salesroom floor. i just wanted help in the hardware department. this was a horrible display of poor customer service. ill shop somewhere else. i finally found an employee to help me, way up front, but this employeee was hammered by other customers seeking assistance. meanwhile, a half a dozen employees were somewhere else. the attitude i got from them was nothing less than intimidating.

That the new LEF......Lowes Experience of the future.........The employees are treated like garbage so you lovely customers can expect the same........Go shop on the internet instead...........................

Guest

First thing is first to both Lowe's associates, The call button should never really have to be pushed. customer service is first, you don't wait to be asked for help, you offer help.

Remember, the reason you come to work and get paid is because the customer is there.

I am a Lowe's associate and Customer focus is the number one thing everyday. No customer should walk by and not be greeted, and every associate should be willing to help, even if it is not their department.

Guest

How about next time, approach the associates and ask for assistance? I'm an employee and occasionally yes, we employees may group and BS and what not, but this gives you an out to give them some *** for slacking. Instead of being so offensive, try being a fricken human being and make your presence known then...

Guest

We have help a help button at the hardware desk. Try pushing it next time instead of walking around looking for help.

Who chooses these repair companies!!?!!?

I have a four-year extended warranty on my w/d combo. Called for repairs to be done to non-functioning washer. Was told that the companies which provide service are all sixty miles or more away from where I live. There are two or three EXCELLENT repair companies I have used locally.....and who are recommended by contractors as well. Using someone that far away is inefficient and decidedly UNgreen. Travel time alone & gasoline will use up any "savings" which might have come from using the other guys. PLUS, I sit here unable to use the appliance, unable to do a laundry.....and I'm looking at a weekend with no one available. Ultimately, I decided to use the company of MY choice and HOPE that Lowe's will re-imburse me. This is NO way to run a business and another reason NOT to spend the extortionate amount of money that it costs to buy the extra warranty.

Using the repair company of my choosing, the parts were ordered, installed and everything done as promised.

The happy news is that Lowe's reimbursed me for the repairs....and SAID they would look into using a more local company for repairs.

We'll see.

Alan C Xap

In year 1, the mfr is solely responsible. After that, you are at the mercy of the plan administrator.

They choose the repair companies not on efficiency but on who accepts their fee schedule. In the long run, you lose.

Guest

You're right, of course. Instead of asking the department head, I SHOULD have read the fine print. But Lowe's had used the company I chose before.

again, my original note was not just about me being ticked off with ME but the about the idiocy of not having a local service. As it turned out, Whirlpool KNEW about this particular problem and ALSO knew that the part they were sending might not be the ONLY part required. That would take a SECOND mailing and a THIRD visit from the out-of-town repairmen.

Whirlpool knew because, apparently, this problem has occured before. But that wasn't in the fine print anywhere.

Guest

Next time you buy an extend warranty take the time to read it before you buy it. If you want your local shop to fix it check with them and see what warranty companies they work for and buy from them. Lowes has no obligation to reimburse you for repairs made by other shops.
