Lowes - Staff not doing their job.

1.7
Details
I went into your store in Henderson NC twice this month. First experience I was trying to buy blower for a heater I brought there. Heater had picture of optional blower. One representative called the associate to area. She was loud and stated, "I been working this area for two weeks and I don't know nothing about a blower. On 1/23/2019 I carried the heater back without opening box. I went directly to customer service and the young lady sitting there playing on her cell phone, without me saying a word directed me to checkout 10 or 11. After being looked at like I was crazy the customer service representative rudely told me to come to the other side of the counter. She than gave me the wrong amount of money back on my account by under $20.00 for the heater and warranty was over $220. I know everyone have problems with people doing their jobs these days because of cell phones, but rudeness should not be allowed in customer service. Thank you

Just being in a picture doesn't make it available. I sold garage doors and roll up doors for another company.

They had a picture of a shed on the cover of their brochure for roll up doors. At the base of the shed they showed diamond plate steel covering the base of the shed under the door. I called to see if the sold it or knew where to get it as it would be a great item to offer customers.

After talking to a number of their employees who had no idea of what I was even talking about I gave up on them and found another source. The next time they printed the brochure they used the same picture of the shed but the diamond plate steel had been air brushed off the shed.

Lowes - Delayed correcting the problem with bathroom vanity and warranty expired.

1.0
Details
1. Signed Customer Contract 4/13/17 for bathroom renovation. Work was begun at the end of June, 2017, In July the contractor, Kevin with KAM Construction did not show up for nineteen days. Work was not completed until the end of July. 2. The first week in August 2017, I contacted Lisa Dockray at Lowe's to advise that the finish was cracking on the vanity. I constantly tried to contact the store several times because no one was responding to my complaint. I received replacement parts in February, 2018. 3. Contacted store in the summer of 2018 to let them know that everything was doing the same thing. This went on again for several months. 4. Complaint was referred to Jamie Williams & she was sending someone to replace 1 drawer instead of what I told her. This went on with her for a couple of months when I contacted her supervisor , Elio Rivera, in January 2019. He referred me back to Ms. Williams who sent out someone to take pictures. By this time I also had a double drawer with a problem keeping the drawer closed and the finish on the marble top came off in two places. 5. Ms. Williams contacted me and first told me that it was all water damage. that I caused. Each time I discussed this problem with her she tried to make it my fault and never gave me the impression that she was trying to help me. She finally called back a few days ago and said she contacted the manufacturer who told her that the warranty expired because I purchased the items when I signed the contract in April 2017. 6. I called about the original problems within a little over a week after it was installed. Their way of HELPING me was by DELAY, DELAY and MORE DELAY. They left me with a very defective product and out of well over $10,000 for a messy renovation.

Lowes - Refunds

My husband went to Lowe's to purchase some closet doors and lights for a closet project. When he got to the register the closet doors he chose were more expensive and in the wrong spot. He purchased on our debit card and a pre-paid card he got for Christmas. When he realized that the doors were more expensive than he had hoped he exchanged them. Needless to say Lowes charged our debit card 174 and some change and then apparently refunded the card back for that amount. Seven days passed before I checked to see if the money had been credited back which it had not. Then a few days later a credit was made but by my bank statement it looked like they put the money in and then took it back out. Still not sure if they ripped us off or not. I have never been so unhappy with a business in my whole life. Not sure why they didn't just refund his money back instead of "putting it back on the card". One thing is for sure they wasted no time taking the money out but expected us to wait to "supposedly get it put back in. I also just returned the lights which were on the same receipt hopefully that money goes back on our debit card or the prepaid gift card but not looking for either to happen. Needless to say I will go to HOME DEPOT from this moment forward. LOWES is a complete and total rip off. *** Facepalm Wtf

One thing is for sure the public are idiots and complain about stuff before they really know what they are talking about. Hmm. Another idiot?

Most store will make the refund in the same manner the purchase was paid for. Stores are charged when you use cards and they get that back when the purchase is refunded to the card.

The stores process the transactions in real time.

For some reason the banks always take longer to show a return than they do a purchase. Blame the banking system, not the store.

And either way you will get it back the same way you gave it too them.

One of life's lessons everyone should heed is "never, ever use a debit card or give anyone the means to take money out of your bank account." Very dangerous. If you cannot or will not pay cash, then use a credit card----much safer.

Lowes sucks...

We made some major appliance purchases at Lowes, which we eventually regretted. Expecting delivery a week later, one of four items arrived. Calling the store we were informed two of the items were on backorder and we might expect them in six to eight weeks. The fourth item could not be located. The department manager was as useful as holding a tennis racket over your head to block the rain. When the items were ordered the salesperson should have informed us of the back orders. Finally contacting the store manager we had a resolve to a very frustrating situation. Albeit, another week passed before we had two of the three remaining items. Oh, we cancelled one of the items and instead purchased it at Home Depot The floor staff at Lowes seem to be frustrated with customer service. On the other hand everybody seems to happy with going the extra distance to assist at Home depot. Lowes is good for purchasing batteries or duct tape. But, Home depot gets our big bucks.

The moral of the story is if you need appliances right away DON'T BUY APPLIANCES NOT IN STOCK AT THE STORE. Due to the lead time I expect you purchased either LG or Samsung appliances.

If LG or Samsung have them in their warehouses you will see delivery within 1-2 weeks. If the warehouse is out you have to wait for them to get more on a ship from Korea.

The manufactures aren't very good about letting stores know when products are backordered or how soon they will ship. It's easy to blame the store but it is really the manufacturer that isn't providing the information about delivery times that you want.

You could always just go through a well-to-do neighborhood on trash day and pick up a perfectly fine appliance that someone is throwing out. The owners probably don't feel like it is worth their time to try to sell it or have the Salvation Army come by and reject it, so they just put it to the curb. Hail, you could furnish a whole house that way with appliances and furniture and save enough money to buy yourself a brand new car.

Soooo your complaint should be with Valspar as that is their product. Lowe’s is a retail store that sells products that they purchased in bulk directly from manufacturers.

They do not manufacture paint or anything else for that matter in the back room. If they did they would need a much MUCH bigger building.

Lowes in Daphne, Alabama - American standard toilet at Lowe’s

1.0
Details
We bought an American standard toilet at Lowe’s. It was supposed to be a standard sized toilet. My husband installed it. First time we went to use it we noticed it was too small. It wasn’t the normal size and the seat is so small it’s like a tiny size no where near a regular toilet size. Of course Lowe’s is not going to take it back bc it’s been installed. So we are out $150 for a toilet we can’t use.

Standard size would refer to the height and clearances from the wall. You have probably had an elongated bowl in the past and the new toilet you purchased has a round bowl.

Both are standard toilets.

You should have noticed the difference when you looked at the displays. It isn't Lowes fault you didn't look at what you were buying more closely.

I'd gladly pay double the price for a toilet that was made back before they started making them low gallon flushes. The stupid low-gallon models actual require many more flushes thus wasting much more water than if you only had to flush it one time.

Lowes in Centerville, Ohio - Five Months to complete a simple installation and now the store manager reneges on promised compensation

In late July 2018 I contacted Lowes to purchase and install two vanity tops in my bathrooms. Due to manufacturing defects, installation delays, and lack on in store communication, the installation was finally completed on Jan 10, 2019. Partway through the process (Oct-Nov) I spoke with my salesman expressing concern that I had not had any contact from a store manager, and that the $100 gift card the salesman offered me (probably the extend of his authority) was pretty much an insult. Later that day, I was contacted by a person identifying himself as a store manager. In our conversation he offered me compensation that I would be credited the cost of one of the vanity tops. After another two months the installation was finally completed, the overall store manager is now reneging on that compensation. Today I've learned the store manager claims he and the district manager have tried to contact me multiple times this week, while both caller id and voicemail indicated I have not been contacted by anyone from Lowes, except for ONE call in response to my contact. It is now quite apparent that this Lowes store is now trying to sweep the whole issue under the rug...after a simple purchase and installation took over FIVE months to complete. Use caution when dealing with this store, especially where management is involved.
