DAUGHTER BOUGHT A DISHWASHER AND IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED ON A CERTAIN DAY AND KNOW ONE SHOWED UP OR CALLED. SHE WAITED A SECOND DAY FOR A CALL ''NOTHING'' !! SO SHE ENDED UP GOING TO PICK IT UP HERSELF !!! SHE HAD TO WAIT AN HOUR AND A HALF TO HAVE IT LOADED. WHEN THEY GOT IT HOME AND UNWRAPPED IT WAS DENTED. If your caps-lock screaming is any indication on how you spoke to the representative, I wouldn't be surprised if they seemed a little apathetic. That being said, she should have called the store or Customer Care to check the order. It likely needed to be rescheduled.

Details
I purchased 4 Samsung appliances and I am owed $510.00 mail in rebate. The purchases were made back in Sep and we are now in Dec and I am still waiting for my rebate. They keep saying that there is a delay. I have been hearing this for weeks now. Why offer something if you are not going to hold up to your end of the deal. This is ridiculous now. I am extremely frustrated at this point.

It isn't a Lowes problem. It is a manufacturer problem.

Your were given a delivery date provided by the manufacturer. Unfortunately if the manufacturer runs out of stock in their warehouse the don't inform the store. The store only finds out when the truck shows up with a packing slip marked backordered. The manufacturer isn't much help in letting the store know when to actually expect shipment.

They can only wait each week until the product actually shows up on the truck. This is something g I learned from experience selling appliances at another big box home center.

Simply offering an option to Lowes. I have no recent experience with HD rebates.

It is not the customer that has a "problem with rebates no matter where they are offered". It is dishonest retailers that offer rebates to entice customers to buy then don't honor legitimate rebate claims.

Went to Lowe's to buy a new stove, only one they had was on display. Store manager refused to sell it to me, said he always had to have one in stock, and he had no idea when new ones would be in. Why have it in stock if you can't buy it?

It is not uncommon for stores to not sell their displays. Many appliances are ordered from warehouses or the manufacturer.

If they don't have a display to show they would potentially loose orders.

Just take a look at how many appliances are on display. Stores just don't have space nor can afford to keep stock of everything displayed in stock.
