Early in oct my mother went in to buy a gas stove and a refrigerator. The salesman told her a service man would contact her in 2 days to make sure he could hook up her range. It has copper tubing. Two weeks later I went back to the store Front street Binghamton and talked to a young lady who contacted the contractor who said he would be in contact with her in a couple of days. Last weekend on Sunday I spoke with Matt the original sales person who advised me he was moving people to a new contractor. And he moved mom again assuring me she would hear from someone in two day . Almost a week later no one has contacted my mom. Can you assist with this. Customer Is Freida Alcott my number is 607 371**** and moms number is 607 967 ****. She would really like appliances before Thanks giving.

Rather than going through a store that subcontracts their delivery and installation you would be better off going through and appliance store that employs their own delivery and installation personnel. The length of time it is taking to find out if they can even install the stove should give you an idea if how the delivery and installation will go if you do make the purchase there.

We signed a contract to remodeled our kitchen and I have to say that everything went fine until the parts started to come in. Missing , broken parts started to come, 1/2 sent to our house and the other to the store. Until they order new parts, it was already 2 weeks of work missed. The people who did the actual remodeling were great, but the store and manager assistant were a nightmare, not returning my calls when I was extremely frustrated. The person in the store who seams to be doing something left the store and they didn't even mention to me who was going to be in charge. No communication skills at all. I ended up calling the manager and leaving a message that I was extremely unhappy with their feed back. Manager never called me back to at least apologize to us, but his assistant started to call me, but made sure to mention that I "had" to call her boss in an angry manner. We changed the cabinets and counter tops, nothing else was changed. The project went from Jul 1st until November 1st. Until now, nobody reached to us to ask if we were satisfy with their work. Shame on you, Lowes! We wont do another project with them!

October/23/18 had asked for repairman for my side by side refrigerator for the second time. Was scheduled 12/22/18 between 8-12. This was the second time. At least the man did show up in my driveway, but I kept waiting for him to come to the door. He left. Later said he knocked but I didn't answer. I was standing in the front window, but he didn't call to see maybe I didn't hear the knock, just left. We were on the phone trying to get him back , but all I got was voicemail and no response. Called Lowes and was told I had to reschedule for next week. Same thing as before, he didn't show and wasn't sure when he could come. Was told I could get someone else to fix it which I did and paid the$75.00 and was told they would reimburse me. Made 3 phone calls asking for paperwork to file, had to be to an email address, will not mail. 3 different times never received the email to my box, asked Customer Service to mail it to me as I had confirmed my email address 3 times and never received. They refused to mail and cant get me the paperwork, so I had to lose $75.00 on a fixed income. I will never buy another extended warranty from Lowes. Sad

I bought the Troy-Bilt FLEX power base and mower attachment. It wasn't in stock and it took them more than 30 days to deliver the darn thing. First time I used it, it got slower and slower when I would pull the throttle, to the point where it is entirely pushed by me...that was the first time I used it & I have less than 3/4 of an acre to mow. Second time I used it, the PTO got stuck engaged and would not disengage - something snapped in there, it spins freely even though the cable is stuck in the engaged position...I can't use the thing anymore, it's now worthless. Lowe's wont take it back and Troy Bilt won't authorize the return, they want me to let someone at Lowe's fix it. Last outdoor power equipment purchase I make from lowe's. By the way - this is a $1,400 mower setup, used it twice & now I'm back to my old push mower that I bought in 2006.

Why is it worthless? There is a manufacture warranty that covers the repairs for DEFECTS in the product.

Just like a new car warranty. They will repair your car if something goes wrong.

They won't give you a refund or replace it. If you did something like failing to put oil in it or used stale gas, expect to be charged as that is not a defect in the product.

Lowes review: LOWE'S IS GOING TO BE SHUTTERING STORES NATIONWIDE!

The other day I read in the Wall Street Journal that Lowe's is going to be shuttering down stores nationwide soon. Probably because of all of the lost business from people who are pissed off about their rebate scams. You can't treat your customers that way and get away without having any kind of repercussions from it. That's usually what happens when a business treats it's customers with disrespect and gyps them. They end up having to shutter stores nationwide and declare bankruptcy and some of them end up going out of business for good. Which is the way that it should be. Treat your customers right and they will be loyal customers who make you lots of profits. Treat them with rudeness and go out of business.

That's good news for people scraping by on "Nut Checks" of only $750 a month. They could probably get some good deals on home supplies with the "going out of business" sales.

I was at Lowe’s in Streetsboro late yesterday afternoon. Based on my experience, I totally understand why Lowe’s sales decline. I walked out their door, disapointed they didn’t want my $8,000! My intent was to purchase a new refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and carpeting for 3 rooms. I walked around their appliance dept. for a minimum of 10 minutes. There were 2 employees at the appliance kiosk. One spoke with a patron for a few minutes. Another was facing my direction but reading something intently, or looking at his phone. Not once did either offer to assist me. As I proceeded to walk out the door I very politely but loudly announced my exit. I said ‘Attention please, since it is obvious, Lowe’s does not need or want my money, I am leaving for Home Depot where I will gladly hand over my $8,000 in return for goods of which I seek today.’ One employee offered for me to speak to the manager. I shouldn’t have to go through a manager to get service, let alone decent service! I come from a background of servicing people, customers, people who come back afterward for more of the same. It sure was lacking here! On my way to Home Depot, I called back to Lowe’s and asked to speak to the manager. I explained what had occurred a few minutes earlier and where I was headed now. The manager says ‘I will look into it.’ He never once tried to rectify the situation and offer to make it right. I was expecting something like ‘allow us to make it right.’ Or ‘Please return to our store and we’ll offer a discount to make up for the poor experience.’ He really had very poor customer service skills. He didn’t really care, like the rest of his employees. I happily spent my wad at Home Depot. Lowe’s closing stores? Understandably so!!! Shrug

So you went to a "self-service home improvement center". never ASKED anyone for help, and then got pissed and went to another "self-service home improvement center" down the street.

All to save a few bucks over the local full service places.

Ordered a dryer over the phone and was told it could be delivered the next day and they would call approximately 30 minutes before delivery. My wife was home and had not heard from anybody by 1pm. We called and were told the dryer was not on the truck. We were not called by Lowes or their 3rd party delivery service of this issue. We had hired a plumber to install the dryer as it was a gas dryer and had to cancel. Customer service said to call the store where the dryer was to be shipped from. They were useless and threw the 3rd party delivery service under the bus and could not give a date as to when the dryer would be delivered. After a few more phone calls I got frustrated and cancelled the order. Sent an email to customer service to complain and was given the choice of receiving a phone call or receiving an email response. Thought I might be able to salvage the situation , so I opted for a phone call, The next day I received a canned email reply apologizing, but offering no solutions or compensation. Ended up buying the dryer from Bought the dryer from Home Depot. Delivery took longer, but at least when knew when it was coming.

Lowes did not honor appliance rebates

Purchased 6 NEW appliances from Lowes, and was issued two rebate forms, by staff. The total amount of rebates amounted to $500.00 (a significant amount that attributed to my decision to make the purchase). Forms were completed and mailed in. Didn't hear anything for a month. Checked rebate status online. Message read: "Your rebate request did not meet the following requirement of the offer: Your sales receipt did not indicate the purchase of two or more eligible appliances at Lowe's Submit missing/invalid items to the following address as soon as possible. Include your tracking number on your documents." I NEVER received anything about being in non-compliance. Resubmitted the forms (previously had saved copies), with receipts as well as a typed letter. Another month, and NO response. Checked rebate status online, and it was not changed. Responded to local store. Spoke with Customer Service who contacted Corporate and the Rebate division. Was told that my purchase was in compliance, however due to being months later, I was no longer eligible. Spoke with store manager. He concurred, however stated that he wouldn't be able to do anything without a post office receipt showing that I mailed the rebate forms. He was advised that the proof is in their system (was received and purchases made). I provided copies of everything except post office receipt. They sent me packing after I lost my temper, calling them thieves. Now I am digging around, trying to find this post office receipt!
