Window Installation Disservice

Our window installation(16 windows) has proven to be one of the worse we have experienced in the many years of Lowe's product installations. Windows were purchased and install through Lowe's(store#0358), 1207 North Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483.

Windows were delivered on August 31, 2021; with installation to begin on Sept 1; to last no longer than 3 1/2 dates.

2-people(1 man worked; 1 called a helper/driver) came at approx 10:30am on Sept 1st; worked for about 2 hours; then went away for lunch approx 2 hrs &;;; took off for lunch; left about 5pm.

On arrival first day they came with extremely loud amplified music on trailer. Non professional. Used customer bathroom several times.

They were to return on Thursday. Did not return; did not call to say they were not returning.

We had taken off work to keep house open for inside work. On 3rd day; we had to call and visit store to inquire when/if they were returning. They returned at 11pm.; & said they would finished Were not able to finish left at 6pm; saying they had another job to go to on Saturday; would return on Monday; Sept 4th at 9am.

Called on the Saturday; asking to come on Sunday. We could not accommodate Sunday work.

They returned Monday 10:30, said they had another job in the afternoon and would finish with us; and had to leave at 12 noon.

They left at noon without allowing us the opportunity to check if everything was satisfactory or even notifying us that they were finished.

We have found caulking(open cracks around back windows) incomplete; we also have a widow with hairline crack needing replacement.

We desire no further service from these individuals; lost wages from the no show times/not calling to inform us they were not returning at said time/day; has been enough to say "no more".

After our situation; we looked at the online reviews and everyone has the same complaints.

We have had the same experience. We did not get all we paid for; in reference to service almost $10,000.

i have had many problems with lowes and the customer care. 1. Purchased flooring with delivery and installation. Installers did a most awsome job. Delivery was not as explained it was winter there was snow on the ground. Flooring was to be brought into the room that it was to be installed in. The flooring was left in the driveway in the snow, but it was on a pallet, it was never brought into the house as it was explained to me. I ended up bringing into the house myself only to further injure my back more. 2. I recently purchased a toilet with delivery and installation. (paid extra for this service) Contractor that went to pick it up could not deliver or install it, because it was broken. This was the last one and a discontinued model. Never received a call from the store, but installer called and said to pick out another one. I went to store to pick out another and arranged for installation and delivery again. A week later the product was delivered but installer was not able to install because of the location of the water lines. He returned the item to the store and told wife that i was to go to the store the next day and pick out another one and that he was going to leave word with an associate on exactly what i would need and that he would come back and pick it up and install it. Went back to the store nd was told by the associate in appliance that he was told that they would not be able to install another one unless i had a plumber come out and do some extensive plumbing to move drains and water lines. There is already an existing toilet in that spot. I went to go get a refund because the associate would help. After about 2 hours of waiting the refund was complete. I do want to say you have a customer care person in the front named Betsy that was just wonderful, (dont loose that one). Needless to say i had to go to home Depot, picked out another one. Should be delivered and installed within the next couple of days. 3. Just purchased a new samsung refrigerator with delivery and set up. This item was in stock at the time. Item delivered as promised. when item was taken off back of truck (great delivery associates) to be opened there were dents in the front door (like it was punched) this i do not believe was done by the delivery as the box it came in was undamaged. The refrigerator was placed back on the truck. Had to go back to lowes and do all the paper work again. Item was now out of stock and maybe two weeks or more till another come in. I use to like getting all my materials i would need at lowes but i have had nothing but bad luck. (i know going to blame it on covid) Corporate really needs to look at it policy's on it customer care. Just give me one good reason why i should come back to lowes as a customer

Dogs in store

Never see dogs in Menards, must be more of a respect the law, common sense, "the world doesn't revolve around me" type of customer. Dogs in stores are a big liability, employees shouldn't fret over hurting a few feelings in order to protect the majority of shoppers

Most dogs you see in a store are very well behaved. I would much rather see them in a store than the kids some parents let run all over the place while they shop.

Delivery truck from Lowes pulled out in front of me In Lowell Arkansas! You can verify this because a motorcycle cop ,right beside me, saw me sliding to a stop . My brakes were gone. And I had to hobble home! Estimated $700 to fix. Said I blew lines and brake system out from dodging your driver. It would sure be nice to get some help with this. Check your records for a driver cited for erratic driving! Raymond Powell 950 n center st Elkins Arkansas 72727! At least tell you verified my recollection!

Rude intimidating associates

My wife went shopping today (Wednesday, October 20, 2021) at Lowes in Epping, NH. When she told the garden associate at the register that she had brought her own bags, he ridiculed her, calling over another associate to "look at the little lady who's going to save the plastic trees all by herself." He continued to treat her with disdain as she left the store.

Invoice 91046 - Midea 13.8 CUFT UR Freezer Delivery 9/8/2021 trans # 1886**** 9/5/2021

Good morning,

We had a new freezer delivered on Wednesday and there are dents on the left side of it. There wasn't a box when the delivery men brought it in on a hand truck.

I'm guessing the dents are from the hand truck. Is this the normal way Lowes products are delivered? Box-less and unprotected? I want to be sure this is in fact a new freezer and not a discount or floor model etc.

as I paid full price.

Can the dents be removed, or the freezer switched out? I have been trying to call my local store where I placed the order, however I am constantly put on hold and have not yet been able to talk to anyone.

Purchased a refrigerator, and when they delivered it, we were told they were not only allowed to hook everything up, they were only allowed to plug it plug it in. they also said they weren't allowed to put where the old one went, so they don't damage it, and now It now sounds like it's going to explode. When calling the customer complaint number, I'm told there's nothing they can do, and said they were we're sorry they can't help. I waited 3 months for this to come in. To them, customer satisfaction iasephrase.

Why did you confirm all this BEFORE you purchased? Then you could have gone elsewhere..blame yourself.

Must have a few Lowes managers out here who do nothing but try to make it look like Lowes is a victim and it's the customer who is at fault.

Had no interview they were closed

About my riding mower that is waiting for its repair from something that I had nothing to do with ! The rear went out in it and the company that has it has had it for almost two months now waiting to hear from Craftsman to repair it ! I had the riding mower for just over a month it is a R110 riding mower . My nephew was cutting grass and went to go backward and it wouldn't move and it was making a funny noise , but the blade was still turning

73473**** Undelivered, hasn’t moved in days

Im writing in regards to order 73473**** which was shipped via Ceva logistics. The carrier has had the status listed as to be delivered on 10-4 ever since Sunday 10-3. The shipment is only 50 miles from my house and Ive now missed two days of work in anticipation of being here for the delivery as I or someone else will need to be present. The carrier you chose to ship with, Ceva, has been unresponsive to calls and emails at their headquarters and local office when Ive inquired about an update. At this point Im better off buying the shed at my local Home Depot as they now have them in stock. Please let me know when this will be resolved.

THE PROBLEM LOWES STILL KEEPS YOUR MONEY EVEN IF YOU CANCEL. What you do not know is if you cancel they will send you a refund card and that means they keep your money anyway how about that. Their is no fore warning of this nice way to keep the money in the family. Lowes in Parker, CO!!! Poor customer service from store and installer! Poor customer service from centralized installation office! Purchased a storm door install in April 2021 was told about five weeks, it is still not complete, no one will return my calls. I have been lied to by the store, the installer, and the centralized installation office. I do not recommend ever purchasing an installation from Lowes. Carrie was my customer service agent. During these Covid times, I have found customer service in most venues to be sorely lacking. However today with Carrie at Lowes in customer service for an online order that I placed Carrie was most kind, patient and professional in every sense of the word. She should be commended and rewarded for her diligence and willingness to give the customer her very best. Thank you Carrie!!!!!

User's recommendation: The individual stores lack the authority to manage customer service issues involving installations that are problematic. Go directly to their HO for action.
