Don't trust LOWES!

I have had numerous problems with this company for several months. Its difficult at best to receive discounts when promised and it's difficult getting special order materials delivered, on time or otherwise. Special orders will sit in receiving a few extra days while the customer waits, without notification. When given special handling instructions they don't follow directions. when filing a protest with "customer care" instead of solving the issue they refer your complaint back to the store which wouldn't resolve the issue in the first place. I can't imagine what the CC flow chart must look like. I believe it looks like a circle complaint>store manager>customer care.back to store department manager>to customer> CC>(customer care) > to store manager>customer>CC> ETC. on and on By the time you realize your caught it's too late. Good luck to lowes and its customers see for yourself 18004456937 CC.

I had Lowes install carpet in my home. We got high quality carpet and paid over $8,000.00. After 15 months the carpet developed rolls and ridges due to poor installation. Lowes has a one year warranty but many carpet issues develop after the 12 month warranty. I called both the local and corporate office and they were unwilling to budge on the installation issues. They didn't even acknowledge that they would look into the subcontracted installers, so the chance of this happening to someone else is a possibility. The installers did not even use a power stretcher, only a kick stretcher. At the time I thought this was a normal installation practice. After speaking with REAL professionals, I found this is a low budget install. Do not allow Lowes to install carpet in your home.

that's because the only carpet installers that are willing to work for Lowe's are apartment carpet installers. But what did you expect from a "discount home improvement warehouse"? Top of the line service?

Lowes in Las Vegas, Nevada - Miscommunication

I went into the local Lowes store and was told that in order to get a quote it would cost $45 for them to come out and give me a quote. I paid the quote fee because I want to get my floors done. When the quoter arrived he told me that it would take an additional 3 days to get a quote. If I had to wait 1 week for a quote, I can only imagine how long it will take to get the job done. They are quick to get the money but to get answers it is impossible. Now I understand why they cannot be honest from the start. It would go a long way to wanting to do business with them.

Don't hire them to do a bath tub and surround in your home. They measure wrong don't hire professional contractors, and it goes down hill from there. A 2 day installation turned into 3 months! Ugh! The delivered product that we didn't order in the store. Some cheap product was delivered--even had the price on the packaging that was rained on and the paper was yellow - a sure sign this had been sitting somewhere for a long time. No returned phone calls or emails. They said it was not their "protocol" to answer our questions. Worse customer service ever. I don't even know how you can provide such bad service. Almost like they set it up so they don't get sued!

Don't hire Lowe's to do a home renovation. Can't believe how bad they are.

Rip you off! Save your money. Inflated prices for handyman work. They don't hire general contractors.

They hire handyman services. They changed us $1400 to haul a small truck load of items!

Lowes - 80 year old Widow scammed!

We went to Lowes in Union City, Tennessee to make our mother/mother-in-law feel better about losing her husband of 60 years. She always wanted her bathroom renovated. We had to go back home to Albuquerque, and left her to deal with Lowes. I can't even describe the nightmare they put her through! From May to August 2018, we still don't have her bathroom done. This poor woman, who has no family or friends in this rural town had to deal with Lowes "nightmare" of a simple installation of a tub and surround. $4,500 later, as of end of August, we had to hire a professional plumber to figure out what was wrong with some of the installation. No response from Lowes; they do NOT return phone calls, pass the buck, they do NOT return emails (of course, saying it is "not their protocol" to answer my emails. I have never in my professional career of 40 years experienced such a horrible experience. I'm sure the legal system will cost more, but PLEASE! DO NOT HIRE LOWES AND TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY! That is the only way we may get justice. DO NOT BUY LOWES STOCK! We had Lowes Stock and just dumped it for Home Depot stock. I only wish we had gone to Home Depot or a local company. We felt Lowes would stand behind their commitment to an elderly widow. They do NOT CARE! So sad and I've been crying because her son and I talked her into using Lowes--the guilt is on us, too. I'm sorry, but this is really emotional. She blames us for this torture she is going through. This has torn our family apart. Thanks Lowes--you are the worse Company in the USA! You can burn in "you know what". Sorry, I'm really angry and so sad for our 80 year old widow who was trying to get over her husband's death. I guess it doesn't matter anymore. I usually stick to the "facts", but this has gone on far enough---it is beyond the "facts" That would take 30 pages of explanation. We are just plane TIRED! Drained, and sad..so sad for her and our family. our Mother/mother-in-law is sick over this...how can they not care???? Companies like this should take responsibility for what they do to people when they can't even take a bath.. she couldn't even take her bath for 2 months; she was able to take a shower, because they rigged a shower for her; she is old and likes to take a bath , and even couldn't do that for almost 2 months! UGH! That is all I have to say, hope you have a picture of what Lowes will put you through...they DON'T CARE! PROTOCOL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! UGH!!!! Yuck! If I hear that "is our protocol" one more time, I might lose it completely!

Lowes - Terrible hurricane shutter installation

Installers did not check to make sure shutters closed and locked correctly. They left without explaining or showing how to close and lock them. They said the key was missing from the box. Then they said goodbye good luck! After many many phone calls to Lowe's, still no resolution. Finally installer came back but spoke no English. He called a friend who translated a and said they installed all the locks backward on purpose, and we just needed to get a screwdriver and reverse them after the city inspects. we tested the two in back and they do not meet correctly, and can't be secured. Finally figured out no key is needed. Still waiting on Lowe's to come out and fix the problem. We are two unhappy with the response so far after 4 weeks. We're are on our fourth person, and finally received an apology that seemed sincere. Thank God no hurricanes are brewing!

Lowes - Measurements say I need 216 square feet for a 12x12 room

I paid for Lowe's to have the contractor to come out and measure a bedroom for carpeting. This room is 12x12 this is including the closet. Went up to order the carpet and the contractor put the square footage at 216. When I questioned the guy he said he had no idea and that someone would have to call the contractor to find out. Does anyone know why this # is so high? I figured square footage to be no more than 178 with the 10% extra figured in. I figure they are overcharging me by 38 x 2 square feet, for both the carpet and the padding I feel like i am being ripped off. I also had to pay a $16 fee for lead testing. Is this something everyone does for installing carpet?

LOWE'S sucks! had a deck installed in 2011. it has been falling apart ever since, split boards, separated areas on railing, spindles bent, the hanger brackets that support the deck underneath have separated near the entry door. boards not cut even. several steps had to be replaced within 2 months, but not all were replaced. cracked where they put screws,Lowe's refused to correct some issues, very bad customer service, deck was very expensive, not worth it!! I do not recommend them! i requested a supervisor to come out and re-inspect the deck problem, they refused. most of my calls were ignored by the manager.

Your problem was in having Lowe's or any big box retailer install the deck. They don't use the most competent contractors at these stores.

The other problem was in actually installing a deck----nice to look at for the first year, but then it starts falling apart and needs maintenance, etc. An all around pain in the backside.
