False / No Delivery Of Appliance

I ordered a refrigerator on 7/11/2018 and at the end of day received delivery notification via text. I was told that delivery will be scheduled 7/12 at 12:30pm - 2:30pm. I had been waiting on that day for refrigerator and tracking their delivery status on website. I was marked to be 7th station; however at 6th stop. It ceased to move. At 3pm I had to leave for an appointment. Here is my ordeal: At 12pm I moved all item from fridge and they began to defrost. I turned on air cond to keep the food cool until 8pm. I called shipment company and they said they could not find my record. I called Lowes and they said all 3 items were loaded to the truck. I called Lowes again and they hold me on the phone forever. I went to the store at 7pm and agent told me I was scheduled for 7 days at least and they don't even have inventory. I even received delivery notification phone call and text and confirmed at least 2 times. I ended up have to wasted time, money, and electric and encounter food damages for all these and have to wait more time and energy for such erroneous delivery process. I am wondering if I should believe your next delivery. Tell me if you want my screen shot of delivery notification and tracking.

Purchased a gas grill on 7/8/2018 in the SF store, paid $89 for delivery to be made on 7/10. No one called and no one showed up on 7/10. I waited another day, on 7/11, still no delivery. I called the store and the grill went out for delivery ON 7/10 but was returned because 3rd party delivery company allegedly claimed "no one was home" when on the purchase ticket is both my telephone number and my landlord's telephone number. No one ever called either number. They just decided not to deliver the item. I now had to reschedule a re-delivery of this grill for 7/13. If they don't show up, I'm disputing the entire charge on AMEX and going to another store. I'm already NEVER purchasing anything of great monetary value from them again. Their employees are disinterested in helping customers and most look, dress, and act like they are still in high school. DON'T BUY FROM LOWES!

No need to go through the hassle of disputing it with the credit card. You never received the grill, so Just cancel the order and get a refund.

I originally requested a quote for a fence replacement/install on-line; however, Lowes never followed up with me. Then one day I received a call that someone will be at my house to the requested quote. I spoke with the person on the phone and indicated that I have no knowledge of any such appointment. He indicated that he understood, as the Lowes on-line system was not very reliable. And that we could reschedule for another date, which we did, which was today (11 July) at 10:00 AM. No one has shown up and no one has called! I called Lowes, and they indicated they have no knowledge/record of my request and/or appointment. Seems I have taken time off for nothing! So far, Lowes has not been any help with follow-up to getting someone to my home for the quote!

Call a local fencing company. You are better off dealing with a company that specializes in fencing rather than a big box store that is going to sub contract the labor to the lowest price contractor they can find and mark up their labor charges to make a huge profit.

Worst door installation experience - Lowes very unresponsive

I started this process in July 2017. Went to the Lowes store to sign up for installation of two entry doors. Installer came and measured the doors - measurement was not passed on promptly. I ordered the doors subsequently and installer finally arrived to install in late November AFTER several reminders. During initial measurement we told the installer that the fairly new storm door was to remain so we paid Lowes for reinstallation of the storm door. However the measurements by installer were inaccurate and storm door could not be reinstalled. It is now July 2018 and I STILL do NOT have a storm door. I have visited the local Lowes store and complained many times. I have called the 800 number a few times and all I hear is we will contact the installer to fix it but to this day nothing has happened and Lowes does not seem to care about following up with me. The installer did such a poor job with the door that I have air leaking through. In addition they refused to take back the old doors ( I had paid for removal as well) Finally the store manager took it since I threatened to take legal action. I am just completely disgusted with the approach and lack of service. We were going to redo our kitchen and thought of giving the project to Lowes but have put it on hold due to this rotten experience. I have paid Lowes over 4000 dollars for the two doors and it is still not done. Can you imagine what they would have done if I had put a stop payment on my charge ?

I can't agree more. It is so unprofessional when they ask you to hold as if they are serious about checking on the problem and then conveniently disconnect. I hate Lowes - no wonder their earnings are not as high as Home Depot

The WORST!! The installers are subcontractors and TERRIBLE.

When you call lLowes AFTER you paid for the job, they’re NOT INTERESTED. They tell you to call CPO their central purchases supm-of-the-other. When you call them, you stay on hold hen they disconnect the call.

I’ve called 16 times over the past 3 days. It’s SICK the way they take your money and make tou pay anyway!

Just left Lowes store after being yelled at by store manager Craig Krusinger for me not agreeing to let them bring another dishwasher since the one they just delivered was leaking down both sides of the door and because I complained of horrible customer service and would never buy another appliance from them. I asked them to return my old dishwasher the way they found it and Craig told me to get a plumber and bring them the bill. Horrible people! The install person wanted to put my dishwasher back the way it was and hook it back up but Lowes would not allow him too!! Heads up NEVER buy any appliances at Lowes!

My first problem was when they stole $175 in Lowes gift cards I tried to us there on a refrigerator which they will not give back. This time is due to damage caused to my refrigerator door and front deck be the delivery people JB Hunt. JB Hunt set up claims and gave us claim numbers and said over and over each time they were called that they were handling it. Now that it is 3 months later they say it is Lowes problem. Lowes was also called on the day of delivery and we were told that they would order a new door and not no one knows anything about it. We have the delivery form that the delivery guys wrote a note on that said that they damaged the appliance. This has been dragging on since February and on one wants to fix the issue. I was told today by Mike the Manager (horrible person) that he was to busy to bother with me and will try to look into it next week. Every manager at the Kennesaw GA location should be fired.

We bought a washer that came with free home delivery and installation. The installer did not connect the hoses properly. He left before test run was complete. Thecwashroom is upstairs. Water was pouring through the dining room light fixtures. LOWES USES A THIRD PARTY COMPANY FOR INSTALLATION AND DELIVERY, but they do not tell you this. The number on the receipt is for a company called DSI but the phone is answered with “You have reached Lowe’s home Delivery”. The damage is so extensive that we are displaced from home. DSI used a subcontractor who refused to provide insurance information. DSI refused to provide insurance information. Days later Lowe’s gave me a claim number, and the adjuster called three days after that. Lowe’s sent an independant adjuster to assess the damages. I made it clear to all parties that I am a renter, please separate the claims. Stevelyn Wright who was assigned my claim said “let’s just keep it in your name for now”. I asked her to assign a vendor to pack/move/store our property so repairs could take place. She became angry and said “WE ARE LOWES, NOT INSURANCE”. I explained that I am disabled and the $500 the adjuster allowed for this service wasn’t reasonable. She repeated her comment, then said “ now the homeowner will just have to go through her own insurance”. Duh, I don’t know why you thought you could get me to take money on her behalf to begin with. It’s been over a month - I’ve spoken with 4 adjusters, wasted countless hours speaking with Lowe’s Customer Care, requested to speak to Mrs. Wright’s supervisor ( no, I can’t have his email or voicemail per customer service. They said they’d send him a message. ) Stevelyn Wright called after I told her I’d use my own insurance. I missed the call, tried to call back. I asked her to email instead, never heard from her. Oh yeah, I have audio of the guy admitting fault. Lowe’s has the audio, photos, and videos. They just don’t care.

Now you know. Lowe's employs subcontractors.

All Lowe's is responsible for is the malfunctioning appliance. The sub must carry his own insurance and bond. You're barking up the wrong tree trying to recoup from Lowe's.

And if it's not your building, it isn't your insurance problem. Your goods and items, yes ; the structure, not likely.

What does your landlord say about all of this? He has insurance and you should also as a renter.

Between both yours and his insurance plus, of course Lowe's insurance everything should be fine. Except, apparently it isn't.

Get with your landlord, your own renter's insurance and see what can be done. You or your landlord might want to get an attorney involved for the discussions with Lowe's.

The landlord and I both have insurance. The problem was that Lowes assumed responsibility then withdrew part of what they said they would cover.The homeowners insurance hasn’t approved repairs yet, and don’t seem to be in a rush.Late to the game was DSI, who eventually provided insurance info, said they would help, then a week later said they wouldn’t.Attorney sounds like the next step, but not sure what area of practice specializes in this type of situation.

Did you ever think the people they were paging were helping other customers. Having had spent a few years in retail I can tell you I ignored pages to the desk if I was busy helping other customers. I'd much rather close the $5,000 sale I was working on than rush over to the desk only to ask for a product that was on the shelf right behind them.

Never resolved a year later!!!!

We purchased our fridge, day before delivery got call they don't have the fridge they sold us, so after 3 hours on the phone they substituted a different model. Day of delivery we get a call that no one is answering the door. Reason.....they were delivering to the wrong house miles from ours. We got our fridge in August 2017, it was broke and needed repair to working parts in March 2018. Called Lowe's they have no record of the new substituted fridge they see a refund to our credit card for the one they didn't have but no new receipt for the one we got or the service plan we purchased. 3 months and hundreds of calls later they still cant find the service plan or the receipt for that or the fridge. We are grateful we were under manufacturers warranty or we still would have a broken fridge. Will NEVER purchase appliances from Lowe's EVER again we went back to Sears.

After 30 days it is covered by manufacturer warranty. When the manufacturer warranty ends, Lowe's warranties begin.

If you did indeed buy the extra warranty, the warranty center can find it. They keep records of that. It is not the retailer's job to keep track of your receipts.

It is yours, the customer. If you had bought it over the phone, you could have asked them to send it to you.

Bathroom remodeling

Doing big bathroom removal to big shower and replacing everything in master bathroom. First objective of project to purchase double sink bathroom vanity. Lowe’s suggest I have there people come out and do measurements and installation. They contract it with Progressive Remodeling. It took them 42 days to get measurements to Lowe’s. Progressive and Lowe’s both did not care about resolving issue. Still no vanity and my contractor is scheduled to do work in 10 days on remodeling of pulling out tub and shower. Had to take 2 days off work because neither one of them would say we lost measurements. Will find another place to purchase vanity, toilet, bathroom mirrors, flooring and misc item somewhere else. They was trying to get remodeling job for bathroom. Glad I Did Not Choose THEM for COMPLETE REMODELING! They used to be my 1 stop and shop for everything. No longer maybe I need to give Home Depot a chance

I had my fence installed back on April 6 2018. The installation company did a good job, but didnt install all the handles and locks bars. He told me to return them to the store for a refund of about 60 or 75 dollars. Mind you they also left about 15 extra bags of concrete outside on a pallet some of which got ruined because of the rain. My son told me they should have installed everything that was order. I call the project manager and explained the situation and he told me he would have them to return. A month went by, I have not heard from either one of them. So, last week I called the customer service line and was told to expect a call from a manager. I explained to the young lady what happened and that I can get someone else to install them,but I need Lowes to pay for it. This fencing project has already cost me well over $11,000.00. I didnt expect to this to take months to fix. And yes I tried to contact the fence company and get no answer. Not very happy.

Been trying to get new gate installed since March 13th. They have rigged it up ever time. First time they propped half of old gate up with rock. Came back after weeks say they would fix it as specified in contract. Nor they claim they can’t get caps for post and put it up to high that my dog can crawl under. I’m tired of fooling with these people. I want a refund so I can hire someone that knows what they’re doing to install it properly!

Around Mother's Day 2016, My Sister And I went to Lowes, West Side of Dothan, Al to look at Kitchen Cabinets, Shane Cobb Approached me and ask if I would come see him after a couple of days, and he would return to work. I did and he stated that he was going to school for Home Advisor and be patient and I would have the kitchen of my dreams, I had told him I had in mind what I wanted as I had 3 previous kitchen remodeled with homes I purchased. In late Nov, he called me in and said I would have my kitchen by Thanksgiving, Then Christmas they would have completion In- out in 3 days.Middleof Jan, cabinets delivered . Had purchased appliances from USAA delivered the 28th of Dec. 4,500.00 Lowes Purchase 33,600 some dollars for cabinets, sink , backsplash tile floor and lighting, popcorn ceiling removed in living room and kitchen, promised it would look sleek. Later after ceiling was done called Shane Cobb over to look at it, he shook his head and said his young daughters could of done better.But did nothing about it, until 2018 After complaining about how bad it looked. In 2018 after 5 different agents , supervisors managers came over took pictures and wrote down what was not done right, ordered supplies they came over to try to amend what wasn't done right. Tabitha of Lowes Management said it wasn't there job to hang curtains that were taken down from Lowes, nor was the molding to match the cabinets be corrected as was put in the order. I has got less cabinets space then before, when ask for more cabinet space, cabinets put up with holes in drywall, mentioned to Shane, He shook his head.This was no way a Dream Kitchen, Now I know why this Home Advisor did not show me a vitual recording of what my kitchen would look like in the end results. But was always eager to call and ask if I would like some lemons, oranges dropped off from his fathers farm. I live alone and he would drop off baskets of fruit. I say this was his way of trying to take advantage of a senior citizen. Now after 2 yrs of having to put up with Lowes not doing RIGHT!!!! They Want me to have another Associate Tabitha Come Over And Try To Do Me Right,Pictures Will Soon Be At Lowes For Customers To See. This has caused me a lot of Health Issues and Stress that Lowes will take advantage of SENIOR CITIZENS!!!!! Before you Buy at Lowes Come See My Kitchen.

Refused defective toilet exchange

Purchased an American Standard Toilet from Lowes in Torrington CT. back at the end of April and had it installed by a professional plumber a couple of weeks later.

Two weeks later I noticed a crack coming from the seat mounting hole that ran down the side of the bowl.

I went back to Lowes to get an exchange and was told that "after it's installed they won't refund or exchange a toilet due to health matters".

This policy isn't posted anywhere in the store, nor do they tell you at the time of purchase.

But they did tell me they would give me a big 10% discount on another toilet.

(Be still my heart!!!)

A call to the company got the same results.

They couldn't care less.

They got their money, their done with me.

So before you go to Lowes for you next toilet purchase, think twice before you have it installed.

It's best to just enjoy it from afar and leave it in the box, never experience the cool relief and relaxation of your new porcelain throne.

Do to their policy of not being upfront and honest with me, I will not be making any further purchases at any Lowes, and I will use every social media source at my disposal to voice my displeasure with this company.

I just got ripped off too. If I was Lowes I would send a rep to inspect the defective toilet and have an agreement in place to replace or upgrade it.

I get the fecal thing, and have no desire to return it, but they generate furious customers by not offering recourse for their defective stuff. A smug "You can't return that" doesn't fly.

I make the box stores open up the toilets boxes to check. I slashed open my fingers with the glazed portion missing on the tank top.

Today at Lowe’s the glazed was bubbled and cracked inside the bowl.

A blue stain could be seen inside. So return policy is selective??

I absolutely agree with your opinion/frustration. There is NO way to determine a defect in things, especially toilets, UNLESS you install and USE them.

I find their, and the manufacturers, approach to be the ever increasing/standard corporate approach, putting profits as,really, the ONLY important focus; definitely NOT customers or employees. In a few (pun intended) words..."It's pretty ***

It does not hold enough water in the bowl, does not fully flush and constantly stops up.

How can you save water, if you have to flush 2-3 times. I will not buy another American Standard toilet.

I work at lowes at customer service and we can't return a used toilet seat because of health matters. Once the toilet seat is installed we can not take it back.

A person doesn't know a toilet is defective until it is installed.

I really don't care if they take it back or not, just refund the money. I guess that's where you contact the manufacturer.

The OP wishes to place the blame for their installer screwing up their toilet on the place they purchased it. Odds are the installer torqued the seat bolt/nut too much and after awhile the pressure cracked the bowl.

The store is not responsible for what a third party does to the toilet after it leaves their store. Maybe call the plumber who installed it and screwed it up. You know instead of blaming the deeper pockets. I swear it’s people like the OP who screw up returns for everyone.

I cite the newest story of return fraud at Walmart.

One person has cost them 1.3 MILLION in fake/fraudulent returns. Make the PERSON who screwed your toilet up pay for it.

No company will take it back after it was used. The same policy is used for toilet seats and augers.

It has touched fecal matter and is a health risk to people so they will not take it back. Menards and Home Depot are the same way.
