To add to this experience, the rebate gift card they offered, got rejected. The ad said when you purchase 3 or more items, the receipt stated that we received and paid for them.

Yet it got denied and we were asked to send it in again, but to a different address.

It got denied AGAIN. Hmmm...seems a little shady to me.

New and only job description at Lowe's should read: No experience - No friendly service needed - incompetence highly appreciated for management positions Tried to be neighborly and return some merchandise for an elderly person that got sold the wrong stuff in tge 1st place by one of the typical unknowlegeable employees at this store in van buren AR. Lady at customer service desk did not know how to process return - then Lee - apparantly one of the assistant store managers but wearing the " i'm in charge" blue vest insisted only the original purchaser can return merchandise (so never buy a gift for somebody at Lowe's- even if they dont like it they're stuck with it). Or maybe Lowe's should get a teacher to come in and teach Lee reading so he can actually read the company's return policy! But that would cost money and would require aperson with smarts in management to recognize the need! Their brains seem to be as empty as their aisles at this store - what a coincidence

Your first mistake was not asking the employee to assist in the loading of this merchandise. I have worked in the company before specifically in the department in which you had the incident.

I really do hate to say this however It honestly is your fault that the incident occurred. Have a great day!
