I bought a high end Bosch dishwasher 4 and a half years ago. The extended warranty ran out half a year back and now the dishwasher is broken. The piece I need to fix it is no longer sold, not by Lowe's not by any parts supplier online. Apparently Bosch stopped...
Lowes in Denver, Colorado - Lowe's Poor Delivery
Lowe's has the worst delivery business practice in the world! They won't call you to confirm times, your order is half completed, & they send installers who have no clue what they're doing. I didn't realize that putting a pedestal on a dryer would be that complicated but wait until you deal with Lowe's you will find a new definition of incompetence. If you don't have a job and don't mind them delivering your things in 4 deliveries or don't mind them coming back out to fix the the poor work they do, then this is your place. Otherwise, run like ***!
Lowes in Denver, Colorado - Lowe's employees can't find their *** with both hands and a map.
Went to Lowe's #1630 in Littleton, CO around 5:00 pm on a Sunday. No one in the store (customer wise), not a busy time. I had questinos about a Rotary Sander, so I waited next to the Rotary Sander's for about 10 minutes. I made contact with no less than 5 employees, none of whom bothered to ask if I needed any assistance. SO, I took one of the display models to the vaccum section, to see if it would fit the hose of a bucket vac. There were no bucket vac, except for the display, which had no hose. I flagged an employee down, and I question whether or not she knew her own name, and she had to get someone else. This guy had no idea about which vac was where, and never heard of "hooking a sander up to a vac". (Seriously? and this person got hired to sell their merchandise?) The worst part? I applied to work for Lowe's a few motnhs ago - their exact words when they called me back: "I'm sorry, sir, but you seem a bit over-qualified to work here." Why? Because I can speak english, tie my own shoes & know the difference between prompt, courteous customer service and *** customer service? -I left my cart in the middle of the aisle, with the display sander in it, told the "tool associate" that he needed to perhaps attend a product knowledge seminar, and told the manager on the way out the door that this was the worst shopping experience I have ever had. I was prepared to drop $200.00 in this place, instead, I drove to Home Depot and spent $300.00 on things that the employees recommended to me. THD's workers gave me demo's, showed me how to hook everything up, told me which item to buy, vs. the other, and hnored the Lowe's coupon I had, just because I told them how much better their people are than at their compettitor. Lowe's carries a few more brands of tools that I prefer to use over The Home Depot, but I will order those online in the future and wait, instead of EVER going to Lowe's again.
3 times they have not pulled my orders for my jobs. I go in. tell them what I need, give them THE time and date for p/u. Usually in 2 days, and they either lose the paper work or can't find the order. They cost me WAY to much time, and in my business...time is money. these KID managers don't know the real world of work. I'm tired of the B/S. Home depot is the same way. Bring back the Hugh M. woods or 84 lumber. Ya, you old timers know what I'm talking about. Now that was service. R Hewitt
Lowes in Denver, Colorado - Screwed up my order again
9/12/11... So I go to lowes Friday 9/09 and give them a tile order for a job, paid for it and Asked if they could pull the order for pick up on Monday at 4:30. Sure they said. I showed up at 4 flipping 30 and guess what??? Yep, for the 3rd time on my orders, they DID NOT come thru.I waited :55 minutes to get 'er done, got to the job site and it was the wrong color. Lowes employees have no clue, granted, I run into a few that actually know what a hammer is. They lost my business. They cost me WAY to much time. Home depot ain't no better. Bring back HUGH M. WOODS or 84 lumber
I called Lowes in Glenwood Springs two weeks ago about purchasing foam backed carpet. The first guy Kyle never called back. Matt SUPER friendly very helpful got me the answers I needed. I drove FOUR hours to purchase carpet that Matt told me they carried IN STOCK....
Lowes Poor service on power eqipment
Lowes does not service anything that they sell. I have bought 4 pieces of Troy Bilt power equipment. But Lowes handles no parts. Not even belts or cables. Yes the handle generic parts that don't fit or work. Lowes is so big they have a hold over the Manufacturers. They can sell there products but don't have to service or represent them..My next major purchases will be from some one that offers service after the sale. So , you save a few bucks. The service is worth something. The employees don't help you either. They just said sorry, we don't handle parts for any of this equipment

Lowes Refrigerator is a Lemon
We bought a GE profile refrigerator at Lowes 2 years ago. It has had to be repaired 4 times, since then. Four times in 2 years, we have had spoiled food, water all over the floor, and an average of a week without a refrigerator. In researching it I find that GE has had something like 2 recalls on their refrigerators, so I shouldn't be surprised I suppose, and yes we should have done our homework better. The real disappointment has been Lowes. We have shopped at Lowes a lot because we thought they had good customer service. With the refrigerator, it has been an ordeal. First they delivered a refrigerator that didn't work, had cut wires inside, and had stains on the shelves. The repairman said "Oh yes, this is the refrigerator that those other people sent back". We returned it. Then they delivered our current refrigerator, which of course has died 4 times. The good news is that we bought the service plan, which includes a "lemon law". The bad news is that lemon law doesn't seem to mean anything, in reality.
I've had 2 instances of Valspar paint not matching. In the first instance, I bought a gallon of paint at store A. After doing all the trim and 3 of the walls, I ran out of paint. Went to store B for gallon 2. Finished job but when it dried, it didn't match...
