Details
We bought an extended warranty on a Craftsman battery powered weedeater. Customer service had to call someone to ask what to do with an extended warranty (very rude associate). I was told to contact the number on my protection brochure. I was then directed to take the item back to the store because it's still under their warranty. So why did I bother to buy the warranty? I'll be calling Craftsman myself.

We had the receipt when we visited the store. Customer service should have known the item was still under mfg.

warranty instead of directing me to call the extended plan only to be told to bring the item back to Lowes (which I already did). Now I have to make another trip back to Lowes and hope the rep knows how to handle a repair under the mfg. warranty. I have bought extended plans at Best Buy on numerous items and they take care of any problem on the spot.

If it's still under mfg.

warranty they deal with all of that after dropping it off at the store. You buy an extended warranty for peace of mind, not to be given the run around by associates who don't know what they are doing.

Why not contact the manufacturer first. They will give you a list of service centers that can do the repairs.

Lowes doesn't repair mowers. If they handle it for you they will ship it off to a repair center for repair.

It may sit at the store for a week before it goes out and it may be finished for a week before they go pick it up. You would save time by taking it directly to a service center.

You don't seem to understand what an extended warranty is. The extended warranty take effect after the manufacturers warranty ends. During the manufacturers warranty you need to call the manufacturer and they will direct you to a local service center for repair.

Lowes review in Western, Virginia: No 10% discount on refrigerator that was on sale.

Details
Lowes keeps changing the rules on veteran discounts. This was explained to me in store (none too kindly) and also over phone (as nice as possible). So if anyone can buy on sale , why say you are giving veterans a 10% discount.? Just quit saying you are. You are only giving them false hope. If there was another appliance store within a 50 mile radius, I would never shop Lowes again.

The terms of the discount are pretty clear stating that they can't be used with any other offer, promotion, discount, markdown.... I other words the discount is available only on full price purchases.

You should be glad you are offered a discount at all. There are many other deserving professions that don't get a discount.

Okay, how is this a complaint against Lowe's? Lowe's did not manufacture the toilet.

And Lowe's did not install the toilet.

So how do we know that it's not something that you did wrong and installation? I don't understand how you're digging Lowe's for a bad toilet?

The manager probably had much larger issues to contend with than a $10.00 return. I'm sure he was pissed that he had to deal with another cheap skate that bought a tool, used it once, and returned it for a refund instead of just keeping it.

This happens several times a day i am quite sure. And it would *** me off too!

Gotta say, Mitchell.. From your post, it sounds like you never pay full price or discounted price.

You always want a special deal.

If you have managed retail as you say, you know they make zero money on your loyal patronage. They would probably love it if you switch to another vendor.

6/21/2019 ordered on line received email it was ready.Drove to warehouse area sat for 20 minutes till able to ask what to do.Told to go to front for receipt!! Disabled already parked so went to front left car in warehouse area. Received my order at the only place posted PICKUP.. Then had to roll cart all the way back to warehouse to load my truck DISABLED.... WHY are there no instructions on pickup email how to go about it at the store????
