Never been disappointed with Lowes until now. Ordered a dishwasher June 1st.

Promised delivery in 3 weeks. Got a call that it would be delivered June 28th between 8am-12pm. No delivery no phone call. Called store and was told that it was not in yet.

Called again and promised delivery July 12th. Trucks have not been unloaded yet. No delivery and no call. It is now July 29th and no call no delivery.

Got rid of my other dishwasher after they promised first delivery.

Totally unacceptable. Four calls with promised delivery zero calls saying they were not coming time lost $1000.00.promises mean nothing.

promises mean nothing and even if you have a Contract they will write you off.


When you order an appliance rather than purchasing an item in stock at the store you are given a delivery date based on information provided by the manufacturer. Unfortunately the manufacturers aren't very good about providing information on backordered appliances.

The only notice the store gets is when the truck shows up with a packing slip marked as backordered. It's kind of hard for a store to deliver a product they don't have.

Rather than blaming the store for the delays your frustration should be with the manufacturer. The moral to the story is to find appliances that are in stock if you want a timely delivery.
