well I just called there to get advice and talked to a female mgr and she acted like a was a waste of her time cuz I wanted to talk to a CASHIER WHO WAS VERY HELPFUL and she wouldn't leave a message for him or anything. I am disabled and he was giving me helpful advice and she was just sighing and giving me reasons why she can't give him a "MESSAGE" to contact a happy appreciative customer

I am disabled and am a cat lover and have to return some useless bug spray and wanted to speak to this helpful man about something he suggested and asked if they carried and they only have the kind I can't use but she STILL GAVE me the item # of THIS product I obviously have NO INTEREST in buying!!

WHAT KIND OF *** RUDE PEOPLE DO THEY HAVE WORKING THERE??? :sigh :sigh

Hot water heater replacement, called around and went with Lowes because of their reputation of quality. They sent a contracted plumber JW Plumbing. What a disappointment. They quoted the same price as others, but the plumber showed up LATE in the day, started work,...

This is NOT Lowes instalation policy. You should contact the installation department at the Lowes you purchased your water heater and installlation contract through and report this to them the price you are quoted on the installation that you paid for is the full price the man is not allowed to charge you any more $$.

They need to know this so they can get void the contract Lowes has with him as an istaller.

If they give you any problems tell them you want corps # and things will get straightened out. I used to work at Lowes and trust me our store voided contracts with installers over things like this you may also want to go into the store and have a face to face talk with the manager if he's any good at his job he will help you.

We placed an order at the Lowe web-site online for a new refridgerator and stove Nov. 22, 2011. Our zip code indicated the Bedford Heights, OH store would process the delivery. After waiting a month, and 2 "rescheduled" delivery appointments, they brought us a "new"...

Lowes in Washington, District Of Columbia - Lowe's unbelievably horrible service

We recently ordered a washer and a dryer online at Lowes.com and we got our washer the next day with stains on it, bugs inside it, opened packages, and every time we use it, we smell something burning from the washer. Also, upon delivery, they just had us sign, but we received no invoice or receipt. We called Lowes for an exchange but once we spoke to them, they told us they never sent us a washer, upon calling them several times, each time, they told us they would call us back but we never received a call back. Today when I called, the customer representative chastised me for calling in so many times talking to too many different representatives about the issue, therefore causing confusion in the store. He also chastised me for using the internet service which has no valid way of contacting actual human people according to him and therefore was unreliable. When I asked why they have the internet ordering service then, they replied it existed for people to browse and find what they wanted. When I asked if he thought I could find the order information by calling the main corporation he said no, they wouldn't know anything and I would have to speak with the department manager. Also upon my last call before today, suddenly my order history details online had disappeared and only showed that the washer had been delivered and the dryer had been ordered. I called and finally got someone from the main corporation to send the order information they found to the manager at the Lowes I ordered from but of course I have to wait and see if that will actually help or not. So far, all of the customer representatives I have spoken to have been very unfriendly, unreasonably angry, or sounded annoyed. Safe to say, I was a little displeased with their service and plan on avoiding Lowe's when buying products in the future.

When you buy someting on line there is a way to print off a receipt. Upon further review of your complaint, it sounds like you need to call the store and ask for their District managers phone number.

that will get them working for you. If they said there's now way of finding your purchase their full of it.

There is a way but it may take a little more time out of their day. There's always a way, don't take no for an answer.

Lowes in Washington, District Of Columbia - Kobalt Tools

I purchased a full set of lifetime warranty Kobalt mechanics tools and screw drivers from Lowes to have at a econd home. Up to this point I always bought craftsman. The first time I used the 3/8 ratchet wrench, it did not hold the socket. As luck would have it, I was working on a dock and had no other tool to use - the socket fell into the water and I am missing a 1/4" socket. Lowes would not exchange the rachet for a new one (like Sears has always done to honor their lifetime warranty) and they wanted no part of giving me a new socket. Also, the screwdriver have proven to be toys - the straight edge bends and the phillips strips. Today I am gathering all of my Kopbalt tools to return them - should be interesting to see how that goes. I will replace them with Craftsman - they look real good after this episode.

I mentioned that IF there's a vrosien 2, the designers might try to build it with a one-handed mechanism if possible. Don't hold your breath, though, the driver is actually well optimized and probably won't see a significant revision for a long time if at all.

Kobalt will benefit much more if their engineers instead focus on designing a completely different mass-appeal hand tool for next year's Fall/Winter holiday shopping season.I'm sure that they must have thought of ways to make the screwdriver even better, but I can see several obstacles that led Kobalt's engineers to stop at the current design. Trying to implement an automatic mechanism that did not require two-handed operation, if even possible, could potentially increase costs substantially, result in excessive complexity, add to the tool's size/bulk. This is all of course assuming that there are no mechanical challenges to overcome. This is by no means a rushed tool, it feels complete and very well designed. Last year's Multi-Drive wrench also looked complete and well thought out as well. The driver is a bit front-heavy, with the center of mass at about where the user would hold onto the blue collar.

It is slightly awkward to operate the driver with two hands, but the speed advantage makes up for this unless high precision or torque is needed. The handle is plastic and mostly hollow, but some users will likely fill it with screwdriver bits for a more compact on-the-go package.

Here is an example of someone having more money to spend then brains to use. In fact, buying most anything at Lowes is a mistake, it is all "contractor grade" ***, aka "seconds" in the retail industry.

Lowes and Home Depot - Bait and Switch

So we recently went to both Lowes and Home Depot to buy a 5ft sliding glass patio door. What I'm so pissed off about happened at both stores. You go in and all of their display patio doors are 5ft models. They clearly have a price tag of about $429 with the words In Stock. When we tried to actually order it, they told us they never stock 5ft doors, only 6ft doors and we'd have to order it. Ok, we'll have to wait two weeks which is not terrible. Then they say O, and because we have to order it, its now a 'special order' and the price is now close to $800 !!! How is this not false advertising !! This cannot be legal ! They bring you in the store with one price and then say they never stock them at that price and the actual price is almost double ! We found a 5ft door at a building supply company and paid the $429 like it was supposed to be. I will NEVER EVER go to these box stores again.

That would be GE money bank that you should be going after. And they probably did send a letter abd you discarded it. Not to mention having open credit cards that you don't use for years wears on your credit so they canceled it not just for them but for you.

whiners are whiners no matter who is at fault. Yes call the credit card company and find out.

BUt don't rag on the cashier, she is just trying to make a living too. She doesn't have any authority at all, she just repeats policy.

You ar placing the blame in the wrong place. You may have a credit card that says Lowes on it but it is actually issued by another company that deals in credit. Your complaint should be directed at them, not Lowes.

Genius, it's the BANK that's declining you, not Lowe's. If you don't understand that, you don't need a credit card. Also, you should know that cards without a Visa, MC, etc logo are harder to get.

I HAVE PAGES UPON PAGES AND YEARS UPON YEARS OF EXCELLENT CREDIT, WITH ONLY 1 NEGATIVE. WHERE I REFUSED TO PAY A BALANCE ON A DISCOVER CARD FOR A $2500, RETAINER FEE FOR AN ATTN.

WHO TOOK MY MONEY AND RAN.I DISPUTED THIS AFTER I'D PAID DISCOVER $1,000 OF THE $2,500, BUT THEY TOOK THE ATTNS. SIDE. I CNXLD.

THE DISCOVER CARD AND NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY REPORTED ME FOR AN UNPAID BAL.I REFUSE TO PAY THIS. BUT BEING DENIED FOR CREDIT ON THIS ONE NEGATIVE WITH OVER 60 OR MORE POSITIVE, BLOWS MY MIND.

NIX ON LOWE'S CREDIT CARD

Retail credit cards occasionally get denied when a customer has no credit card history, and also when a customer has new large loans. I've seen quite a few people who were declined get declined because of a new mortgage on their credit report. Part of your credit score is determined by your total debt on the books, and a new home/new car probably has your score in the dumpster.
