Lowes in Washington, District Of Columbia - Lowe's unbelievably horrible service
We recently ordered a washer and a dryer online at Lowes.com and we got our washer the next day with stains on it, bugs inside it, opened packages, and every time we use it, we smell something burning from the washer. Also, upon delivery, they just had us sign, but we received no invoice or receipt. We called Lowes for an exchange but once we spoke to them, they told us they never sent us a washer, upon calling them several times, each time, they told us they would call us back but we never received a call back. Today when I called, the customer representative chastised me for calling in so many times talking to too many different representatives about the issue, therefore causing confusion in the store. He also chastised me for using the internet service which has no valid way of contacting actual human people according to him and therefore was unreliable. When I asked why they have the internet ordering service then, they replied it existed for people to browse and find what they wanted. When I asked if he thought I could find the order information by calling the main corporation he said no, they wouldn't know anything and I would have to speak with the department manager. Also upon my last call before today, suddenly my order history details online had disappeared and only showed that the washer had been delivered and the dryer had been ordered. I called and finally got someone from the main corporation to send the order information they found to the manager at the Lowes I ordered from but of course I have to wait and see if that will actually help or not. So far, all of the customer representatives I have spoken to have been very unfriendly, unreasonably angry, or sounded annoyed. Safe to say, I was a little displeased with their service and plan on avoiding Lowe's when buying products in the future.
Lowes in Washington, District Of Columbia - Kobalt Tools
I purchased a full set of lifetime warranty Kobalt mechanics tools and screw drivers from Lowes to have at a econd home. Up to this point I always bought craftsman. The first time I used the 3/8 ratchet wrench, it did not hold the socket. As luck would have it, I was working on a dock and had no other tool to use - the socket fell into the water and I am missing a 1/4" socket. Lowes would not exchange the rachet for a new one (like Sears has always done to honor their lifetime warranty) and they wanted no part of giving me a new socket. Also, the screwdriver have proven to be toys - the straight edge bends and the phillips strips. Today I am gathering all of my Kopbalt tools to return them - should be interesting to see how that goes. I will replace them with Craftsman - they look real good after this episode.
Lowes and Home Depot - Bait and Switch
So we recently went to both Lowes and Home Depot to buy a 5ft sliding glass patio door. What I'm so pissed off about happened at both stores. You go in and all of their display patio doors are 5ft models. They clearly have a price tag of about $429 with the words In Stock. When we tried to actually order it, they told us they never stock 5ft doors, only 6ft doors and we'd have to order it. Ok, we'll have to wait two weeks which is not terrible. Then they say O, and because we have to order it, its now a 'special order' and the price is now close to $800 !!! How is this not false advertising !! This cannot be legal ! They bring you in the store with one price and then say they never stock them at that price and the actual price is almost double ! We found a 5ft door at a building supply company and paid the $429 like it was supposed to be. I will NEVER EVER go to these box stores again.
Lowes in Washington, District Of Columbia - Shut my credit card off for nothing
i went to lowes for a few things, bought more then i planned, tried to use my 200.00 lowes credit card i had for years, just to find out it was no good. wow it was embaresing. i always paid my bills with lowes, there excuse was i didnt use it enough, credit cards are for hard times, as well as if you dont carry enough money,etc...they could of told me instead of embaressing me. this pissed me off, so now i use home depot and the little hardwares in town, sorry jimmy johnson, i must dump you as my driver now, i dont approve of lowes tactics......
Lowes turn me down for credit
I just got a new home last april and a new car.I don't have credit cards But I have and unsecured cash loan for a loan company for 9 years.My credit is clean . Lowes has ran my credit check 4 times and there not pulling up any creit that shows my payment history.Loews tells me there looking for a credit history.There it is and there not letting me have there credit card. They tell me all the time they only know one way to pull credit checks and other times they tell me there is a few ways to pull it.The lies are unreal.I realy don't know whats there problen is maby RACE who knows.And its the same with Dell .I have had DELL run my credit a few times and they don't see me unsecurd revoling credit line.Are they blind.
