Lowes in Naples, Florida - Poor employee customer services

Details
To Whom It May Concern: I was in your Lowes store #2261 on Saturday October 13, 2018 at 18:38 and had a conflict with one of your customer service Personnel on that date. I needed to have my credit card looked up which Elle did for me. She proceeded to ring up my items, a Grab bar, 3 small flashlights and a timer. Then she walked away from me. I needed a bag to exit the store. Elle when to ring up another customer, I stated I needed a bag, but it fell on deaf ears of both the personnel behind the Customer service counter. I stated it again but no one seemed to hear. I nugged the other counter personnel girl on her right arm, who was on the phone, for a bag. She stated sharply and loudly, “Don’t you touch me”. I stated I need a bag. She stated “don’t you lay your hands on me”. In amazement, and truly exhaustion, I stated forget the bag. She said “You got that”. As I was approaching the door, “I stated you don’t have to be a ***** to me, I just wanted a bag.” She called at me, “what did you say?” I repeated it to her, as she was very wrong to talk to a regular customer in that manner. “You don’t lay your hands on me”, as she was bobbing her head. I told her she didn’t have to get all Ghetto on me, she is working and needs to be aware of customers. “Your ghetto” she stated. I stated I can call the manager from my phone. I left the store. I called the store when I got to my car and left off my stuff in my car.. I went to the lumber check out and called the store on my phone. Finally a manager (a female) did answer the call and I asked for her to meet me in lumber, register 1. A man came down and was answering another customer’s questions and then he stated can I help you. I stated I was waiting for a manager and he stated he was one. I told him the event, as I am telling you. It is important to state that the whole time the person I had the conflict was on the phone with another customer, speaking to me in the manner that she did. The other phone customer had to hear her as she talked loudly, rudely and insubordinately to another customer. I am a regular customer, and actually that day I passed 2 Lowe’s and 2 Home Depot, as the Job I am working at is in Fort Myers, but I usually stop at the one close to my home, which is this store. In fact on Tuesday, I spent over $1000 for sinks, garbage disposals, and faucets. I will shortly be working on a entire kitchen renovation in the next couple of weeks. As well as a Garage renovation coming up at Thanksgiving. I make big purchases at least 4 to 6 times a month. I did not appreciate the girl’s response to a simple and non-malice nug, and I do not believe Lowe’s wants this to be the person that customers need to interact with. Not only was she rude and belligerent to me, but the customer on the phone was witness to the event as well. She was not aware of other customers in her area. even when I came up and was waiting to be checked out, as she was facing me. Elle had to move from her station to assist me. The girl in the Lumber check out immediately acknowledge me even tho I was just standing there. This was a very unpleasant interaction in your store, mostly due an employee who has no sense that she is there to help the customer, not to ignore, insult and berate the customer I would appreciate their response for this event.

You ever touch me, I will floor you. You don't understand the harrassment we have to deal with.

I don't want your dirty hands on me. Nasty!

How do you think you lost $2000 because you didn't get a bag? I've never considered a plastic bag from Lowes to be worth that kind of money.

Considering you stated this in your complaint... Monetary Loss: $2000.

You Do Not come across as credible.

You come across as greedy. So What is the True story?

Lowes Cashier Review from Tampa, Florida
I made a purchase at Lowes on Commerce Palms Drive, Tampa, Florida 5/20/16. I purchased a stacking rocking chair from the back of the gardening section. It was dirty but was the cleanest of the others. I brought it to the cashier, and she said its a lovely chair but its filthy. I told her all of the chairs back there was in that condition. She gave my daughter windex and a paper towel and told her to get started cleaning while I was getting the money for her. I gave her $43 and joined in helping my daughter clean the chair. The cashier said I will put the change here on your phone for you ($0.22), I took my receipt and change from her and put it into my purse. I pulled the cart to the front of the cashier to not block the other customers behind me. After about 5 minutes i was finished cleaning the chair and gave the cashier back her garbage can, windex, and paper towel. I said thank you and proceeded to walk out of the door with my purchase when the same cashier abandons her customers and asks me did you pay for that? I dont think you paid for it. I said yes I did. She asked for my receipt, after looking at my receipt she says no this is not it, embarassing me in front of the other customers. Meanwhile I've got all of her customers eyeballing me as if I stole a big chair from the store. Then she says oh yes it is, ok you did pay for it. Then tells the other customers its a lovely chair but it was so filthy while I walked away. I was so upset I regret I didn't return it and buy the chair at walmart instead. I should have been offered a discount for the dirty chair I paid full price for, or at least the cashier could have gotten someone to come and clean it for us. Instead, I cleaned it myself with my daughter and was still racially profiled and accused of not paying for it by the cashier who I just paid.

Lowes in Stuart, Florida - The good bad and ugly

Took back gal of paint that was not tinted enough and the ladies in the dept were extremely helpful and got me on the right track. I had made 2 trips to the store to get this taken care of. Then I get to ck out. One cashier (female black). Older gentlemen buying paint brush but no price or id # on it. He went back to find info.(why didn't a store person do this?) Man gone approx. 4 minutes. No other cashier nor was one called for. Now there are 4 people in line and nothing happening (cashier acknowledged 000) man finally came back then another cashier appeared (too late) Lowe's stock is down for a reason....Hmmm...time of event 2:45pm today 9/22/15. Wake up people.

Lowes - Cashier Review from Fort Myers, Florida

I walked into the garden center @ Lowe's this a.m. June 7,2015 and it was like walking into a morgue...What an unfriendly bunch... From the cashier, to the people stocking plants, the workers have little or no knowledge whatsoever of items being sold,as to ground covering, seasonal planting, what plants are better to purchase to grow and thrive here in Florida,i.e. sun or shade...In addition to being clueless--no smiles,no hello, no may I help you..It was like a customer is a bother.... Just think,Lowe's how many items in your garden center could be purchased if only the workers had the knowledge of a garden center or plant nursery...Plus, how far a smile or greeting goes with customers....How being helpful is a great asset--not a liability... Will not shop in that garden center,again..... Maureen Hice,Ft. Myers,FL 33905

Lowes in Lake Park, Florida - Sale tags on unsale items...

They put sale tags on items that are not on sale. So you trudge all the items you think your getting a deal on to the counter where you are charged full price. Then when you ask if they can double check the price, the head cashier cant even look you in the face when she returns and tells you it's not on sale. Then you question it and she says flat out "I'm not helping you." Then you go back to where the item is stocked to double check it with the manager who says it doesnt matter if there is a sale tag on that item because it's not on sale. WOW!

Lowes in Port Charlotte, Florida - About Vet discounts

My husband (a vet) doesn't get veteran discounts at lowes even though his drivers license show vet on it. He was told he had to have a or carry his dd214. How many vets carry around their DD214? His license should be enough to confirm hes a vet. The cashier told him he must have a dd214 to get a discount. I wrote their customer service and never received a answer. I just think its ridiculous that its this way. I understand policy but she should have called a supervisor up.............................................i am tired of typing i don't need a

I'm a Veteran myself, with that being said, if I go to a business and they offer a discount for Vets that's fine, but I won't ask for one, and if they ask for ID which is understandable, I show them my VA Card or a small copy of my DD Form 214. I think it's great these companies do that, but I also think that Vets need to stop expecting these perks.

It's enough for me to know I served my country and will do so again, if folks want to thank me for that, that's fine, and if they don't, that's fine also, I did not serve in the Military for the glory and praise from the public. I served because I love my country and wanted to do something worthwhile.

ENTITLEMENT AT IT'S FINEST. Seriously get over yourself.

My military friends think you people who do this are total disgrace to their career choice. They did not join the military for a 10% discount.

It's getting tiring hearing vets cry about not getting a discount. Don't quite know why they feel they are so much more deserving of a discount than many other professions.

They have plenty of benefits that came with the job.

You don't hear teachers who educate their children complain about not getting a discount even though many have to spend part of their hard earned income purchasing classroom supplies that their schools can't afford. For the vets that take pride in their service and don't feel insulted because they don't get a discount here and there, THANK YOU for a job well done, you service to our country is greatly appreciated.

Lowes in Dunnellon, Florida - Said over the phone proeduct on sale through June 22, 2010, was tagged on sale, but not on sale at t

Phoned Lowe's to find out dates of item on sale. Told on sale through June 22, 2010. In-Store display item tagged with sale price, $69. A store employee put Bissell Model 2080 Quick Steamer into my shopping cart in the Brooksville Lowe's on June 22. When I was at the register it rang up full price and I had to get a refund because the cashier said it was no longer on sale when I viewed my receipt. As I left I told her she would need to tell someone to take down the tagged sale price on the display model. I was so tired and disappointed I did not feel it worth the effort to dispute this at the time. The next day I wish I had...perhaps a raincheck with the sale price would be in order from Lowe's?

You should've handled this when it happened. Why weren't you paying attention when the scanned the item before you paid for it?

If the store acknowledged that it was the sale price on the aisle, then they have to honor that price. Furthermore, if you'd quit forcing the dogs to *** all over the rugs because you're too lazy to get up and let them out, you wouldn't need a steamer and you could save $70.

Lowes in Tampa, Florida - Lack of Cashiers at Lowe's

At 10:30 AM at Lowe's Winter Haven Store, there were no customer cashiers on duty except one in customer service. There were self-service cashier not operating propertly. Upon speaking to the store manager Steve McPherson, he was not concerned, imoplite and said to use the cust. svc. cashier, who was very busy and distraught. Very poor customer relations at this store. This is not the first complaint I've had with Lowe's in the Winter Haven, Fla Store. P. Stringfellow, 863-294-3673. Call me anytime to hear it personally.
