I wrote a review on the primary Lowes website, but it was never posted. The project ran two weeks over schedule. After the demolition, it was 17 days before the next workman came out. Workmen show up one day unannounced. On another day, they were expected and never showed up or called. Their boss had sent them to another job. Lowes promised to send someone out to hang a toilet paper holder they forgot to order and never did. The toilet was installed with the shutoff valve so close, it's no longer usable. Overall the quality of the work was good.

Do not use Lowes for contracting services. They use horrible subs, do Not respect personal property, charge you upfront, and have a forced arbitration clause to avoid accountability. Please beware and use others.

Lowe's has contacted me on this and I cannot say enough about the excellent service I received. They reviewed the facts of my complaint and honored their price match just has they promised.

Also, they contacted me often to be certain the item was delivered in a timely manner and to my satisfaction.

Thankfully, they do listen. Hopefully, training will be considered for those that did not.

So much for Lowe's "Price Match"...it isn't guaranteed at all. Per there own website they state: "We guarantee our everyday competitive prices. If you find a lower everyday price on an identical item at a local retail competitor, just bring us the competitor's current ad, and we'll beat their price by 10%. If a competitor is offering a percent off discount, we’ll match the final net price the competitor is offering. Our price guarantee does not apply to installation labor, to the competitor's closeout, special order, discontinued, clearance, liquidation or to damaged items. Limited to reasonable quantities." No where in this does it say they have the right to say that they can turn it down if they are going to lose money on it. So don't even try......and if you aren't happy, their Supervisor in Customer Support will ever so politely tell you there is no one above him to help you. End of story. Well...sadly, Lowe's not only lost a valuable customer and Lowe's Card holder...they lost our trust.

Lowes in Jupiter, Florida - Armstrong laminate installation

Lower did a wonderful job; the laminate looks beautiful and its been years since I had it installed and still holding as good as the first day that was installed. I recommend Armstrong laminate and lower flooring as they did great. I don't know why armstrong did away with laminate and now Bruce is fading out. I just tried buying prego laminate and the laminate is not as strong as armstrong. I returned as I was not convinced with that product. But I do believe that Lowes does a great job with installation of flooring. Great experience.

I went into the Lowes store at Airport Pulling Road, Naples, Florida looking for Vinyl Flooring. I stood in the aisle for 20 minutes and sitting 10 feet from me was an Associate, sitting on his lazy *** and never offered to help me. I wondered to the back to look at baseboard and trim. An Associate walked right pass me and never offered to help. I finally flagged down another Associate asking a question about the product and when I turned around he was gone. I finally left that disgusting store. I worked in retail Myself for 15 years and our motto was take care of the customer. If a customer went out our doors dissatisfied, we went right behind them. We we were fired. I have had two terrible Installation experiences with Lowes and they should not be in this business.

I can see why they are in big trouble. After two blotched Installation jobs from a store in Estero, Florida, they should be out of business. A *** company that hires enept contractors, does sloppy work, destroys your home, refuses to refund your money should be out of business. I have personally experienced the most horrible nightmare the past five months with these no care managers at this particular store that has completely ruined our holidays, destroyed our home, stolen our hard earned money, and affected our health. I am in the process of asking the Florida States Attorney Generals Office to investigate this Store and their practices.

That's why it is always best to hire your own contractor. That way you can check references and deal directly with the contractor rather than going through a 3rd party.

Thanks for your response. We have definitely learned our lessons from this outfit.

Five years ago, I had Tile work done and it turned out to be unsatisfactory. After repeated calls to have someone come and investigate, my calls were cometely ignored. A letter to the Corporate Office had the Store Manager knocking on our door within two days. That should have been a lesson for us.

We thought we would give them another chance, were we ever wrong. I would have been better off dumping our $5000 down a drain. At least we would have been spared the pain and grief we have endured the past 5 months. This project involved a blotched flooring job.

It was always a game of finger pointing, feet dragging and after four months and letter writing and phone calls, they agreed to re-install. Re-install came on Black Friday. During the installation, the contractor discovered some moisture in our floors and the re-install was aborted. A call came from Lowes telling us the re-install is aborted a truck was coming to pick up all material, our money would

be refunded and they would never install anything again.

They only refunded us $918

out of $4500.

They are crooks. I have written a letter to Corporate with all the details and preparing a letter of complaint to the Florida States Attorney Generals Office.

Nightmare started in October of 2014 and now June 2015 and waiting for 2 doors to be reinstalled which was totally unacceptable according to them..Did not measure door jam first time!!! But shoved them in anyway..Gaps all in doors and hubby had to put paper this winter to prevent cold air from coming in !

Installers are dumbest Ive ever seen..Imagine a big company like Lowes Home Improvement hiring such impotent people!!

They have been out twice with wrong door, not enough doors, can't they read an invoice?? Today, they called and truck broke down...nightmare continues!!!

I ordered a $2000 gas stove from Lowe's. When it arrived, they called to schedule installation. A day prior to the scheduled date, a driver called to deliver the stove which I stored in the garage. On the scheduled date, the installer arrived and told me that there was no conversion kit so he could not do the installation. I had the stove returned to the store and the driver who came to pick it up borrowed our dolly to move the stove because he did not have one. Unable to find the stove at any other store, I returned to Lowe's and found my stove on the showroom floor. I purchased it and was told the charge included delivery, installation, and haul off of my old stove, as well as a conversion kit. A date/time range was scheduled and, true to form, the drive shows up 8 hours before time. I again accepted the stove and called the store to confirm the installation time and was told that no installation was scheduled. I later discovered that there is no conversion kit, as promised. I've been told that I have to return to the store to sign a contract for installation before it can be scheduled. I'm between a rock and a hard place. This is the only model of stove that I want and the only supplier. I don't understand why they cannot clearly communicate that the delivery is separate from the installation and provide accurate times for both. I'll not purchase any other appliances from Lowe's.

Mid February decided to purchase laminate flooring material through Lowe's. Called flooring dept at my local Lowe's and arranged to have room measured. Took 2 weeks - end of Feb before guy shows up to measure. Meanwhile I'd looked online at patterns, saw one I liked, called store and was told pattern not in store so I would have to order it. OK. When sample arrived, it looked nothing at all like Pergo picture so took it to store to have them call Pergo and have them send one that looked more like picture. Flooring guy says to me, "wait, let me check samples we have in store to see if we can find something better" (HUH? - thought you said you don't have that pattern in store!) Guy comes back and says no, something is wrong, all our samples look like one Pergo sent you. By this time a month has elapsed and I still don't have my flooring so I selected a different pattern at the store. Guy says he's ordered it (I'm there 3 hours waiting for him to complete transaction!) and flooring will be in by March 20th and installed following week (March 23rd). March 23rd, no word from Lowes regarding delivery, install, anything at all, so I call store and am told my flooring has been there since March 17th and they have no idea why it hasn't been delivered. It is finally delivered March 26th (stacked in 7 - 4' high piles right inside my front door). I tell the guy I don't think that's a good place to leave it but he says he's only authorized to deliver to inside my door. Meanwhile I call the installation guy to verify installation is scheduled for March 29th. Installer questions me about humidity and temperature conditions in room where laminate is to be installed then tells me he won't install that product because it isn't suitable for temperature/humidity conditions in my home, and recommends instead that I purchase ceramic tile. So both install guy and I make separate calls to Lowes telling them they need to come and get the laminate flooring that day. As luck would have it, my doorbell rang and when I went to answer the door, two of the 4' high piles fell over hitting me in the leg and resulting in a hematoma the size of a melon and excruciating pain. I immediately called the store manager (Mark) to report what had happened, and he told me to seek medical treatment and that he would be sure to have everything picked up the following day (27th). Didn't happen and everything is still stacked inside my door, and to make matters worse (if possible!) install crew shows up early this morning because no one at Lowes had remembered to inform them job was cancelled. Crew calls their boss and he confirms that job was cancelled and he will call "Mark" to find out why stuff is still at my home and why his crew wasn't told about cancellation. I've also called "Mark" 4 times today to find out why this hasn't been picked up as promised, calls have not been returned. Time is now 4:00 pm and stuff is still here blocking my entryway and still on my Lowe's credit card (almost $3,000). Seems fairly obvious, if you do business with Lowe's be prepared to experience delays, misinformation and all in all extremely substandard poor service (perfect example of adage: Left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing)...

. I have had issues with the dishwasher from the date of installation. I was not informed when I purchased the dishwasher that it did not have an element to dry the dishwasher. It has a fan that air dries the dishwasher. Your hot water must be turned up all the way to create enough steam to dry the dishes and then when it cycles to leave the door open. This does not seem energy efficient to me. I had a service call prior to the warranty ending due to not cycling, nor the soap dispenser not opening and the repairman was able to fix the dishwasher under warranty. Now the dishwasher is doing the same thing. I called Samsung first and they informed me that they showed no service on the dishwasher and there was nothing that they could do to help me. I was extremely frustrated because I spent $697 on the dishwasher. I went into the Lowes store and the gentleman told me to call the Lowes Customer Service. I was informed by a Representative that I would have to pay for parts and service for a dishwasher that has not worked for 2 months. I am extremely disappointed that Lowes does not stand behind the products that they sell and service.

It is NOT the responsibility of a retail store to stand behind the product. It IS the responsibility of the manufacturer to stand behind their product and warranty. You should be complaining about Samsung rather than Lowes.
