UPDATE: Scott Hackett from Store 2593 called today 1/18 at 10:30 to inform us that Skwarcan Plumbing would be installing our replacement water heater by the end of the day. I then called Tom Skwarcan to verify and he confirmed that either he or his partner would complete the job this afternoon.

We are awaiting his prior-to-arrival call. It is now 12:47 p.m.

This email was sent to execustservice@lowe's: Good Morning! To briefly summarize our ongoing nightmarish experience, we first reported our defective water heater covered by EPP 0259344414129070830002 on 1/10 through your toll free customer service number. My wife Carol spoke with two incompetent agents (Jonathan and Khadijah) before Yvette intervened and provided assistance. The next day (1/11), after not receiving any follow up communication, Carol and I made a special trip to Store 2593 to speak with Christi Lord (the contact Yvette provided). She generated the detail order which was scanned at your customer service desk. I requested Edgar Shaff from Cabo Mechanical who performed the original installation and Christi advised us that he "was no longer on your contractor list". Christi was very apologetic and promised to update us within 24 hours. We were never contacted and I finally visited 2593 on 1/15 to meet with Christi again. She conferred with her Store Manager Michael Mazur and indicated that the assigned contractor (Skwarcan Plumbing) would call us by evening. Skwarcan never called on 1/15. On 1/16, I sent two messages through your website pleading for help. I also called Christi. Michael from your service center contacted my wife Carol very apologetically and pledged immediate intervention. Christi responded with news that Skwarcan Plumbing and Cabo Mechanical were now "competing for the job" and whoever acted first would complete the work (remember that Cabo was prepared to do the reinstallation on 1/12 or 1/14 at the latest). I informed Christi that we were insisting on Cabo. Shortly after noon on 1/16, I called Edgar Shaff at Cabo and requested that he contact Michael Mazur at 2593. We heard nothing the rest of the day. Yesterday, Christi Lord called and informed us that Skwarcan Plumbing was Store 2593's only authorized plumbing contractor and he would be installing the replacement water heater today 1/18. I called Thomas Skwarcan and he questioned the need to complete Detail Expectation Sheet 465672015620. He asked me to measure our unit (a 40 gallon "short") and provide him with the height. The conversation concluded with Skwarcan assuring me that he would call later to confirm his 1/18 arrival time. At 8:00 p.m. last night, after not hearing from him, I called and asked him what time he planned to install our new water heater. He replied that he wouldn't be performing the job because there was no record of it in Lowe's IMS system. I immediately called 2593 and spoke with Kevin, an assistant manager. Kevin was bewildered and could offer no help, but he promised to send Michael Mazur a detailed email and Mazur would call us soon after he arrived at 7:00 this morning. It is now 9:30 and we have yet to receive a follow up call from either Mazur or Skwarcan. We have been without HOT WATER for 8 days!! Can you PLEASE help a family who has spent thousands of dollars in good faith at Lowe's over the last 20 years? HELP!!!! Thank you!

We bought Faucet from LOWE'S, and PAID $435. It leaks and motion sensor does not work. I went to LOWE'S, ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS and the customer service told me that LOWE'S CANNOT HELP ME, they sent me to their Kitchen Department, which was not helpful, they already knew why I was sent to them and they told me the same WE CANNOT HELP YOU, YOU HAVE TO DEAL YOURSELF WITH MOEN. I have small kids and my kitchen is shout down, we had to close water because of faucet's leaking, so we also cannot use our dishwasher and refrigerator's water filter. LOWE'S manager told me the same!!!!!!! she also told me that MOEN IS CLOSED DURING WEEKENDS SO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MONDAY TO CONTACT THEM THAN EVEN LONGER TO SEE IF THEY CAN HELP!!! FEW DAYS OR MAYBE WEEK OR 2 WEEKS WITH 2 KIDS AND NO WATER!!! Are you kidding me, we bought for more than $15,000 from LOWE'S to renovate our kitchen and now LOWE'S DOES NOT WANT TO HELP ME!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM LOWE'S any expensive items because LOWE'S IS NOT ABLE or DOES NOT WANT TO HELP YOU IF YOUR FAUCET DOES NOT WORK EVEN if YOU PAID $435 for one faucet!!!!! AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE I WILL NOT BUY ANY MORE FROM LOWE'S!!!!

Doesn't make sense that you shut all the water off. Most faucets have a valve underneath the sink to shut off the water.

They are correct though. You have to contact moen for a replacement.

Since it was the weekend you could have bought a cheap replacement faucet to stick in until moen is contacted. On the other hand, why would anyone buy a 400$ faucet...

How old is the faucet? If you just bought it, take it back for an exchange.

If you have had it awhile it is correct that you would deal with the manufacturer for warranty parts or replacement. For some reason consumers have the odd idea that stores are responsible for the warranty on items. THEY ARE NOT. It is the manufacturer that is responsible for any warranty on an item you purchase.

If you would bother reading the warranty that came with the faucet, you would know that. It doesn't matter if you bought the faucet from Lowes, Home Depot or any other retail store. THE STORE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WARRANTY.

Yes it may be an inconvenience to use another faucet in the house until it is fixed but life isn't always easy. Call Moen on Monday and I think you will find they will do a good job of taking care of you as long as you can provide the information the need to process a warranty claim.

Was promised for window installers to be delivered today at 8 am nothing ,called at 9:15 was told they did not put my window in the truck and it’s already gone , no call from anyone I paid up front over a month ago , now am waiting for someone to call me back ,over an hour ago, the last I heard was we can do it next week , I will not agree to that ,they are not following their contract , I am very furious and will not ever deal with them again , I am getting a run around. This is absolutely ridiculous! They should be the ones on top of their deliveries. If the windows were promised today it’s not our responsibility to make the workers put the windows on the truck! NEVER DEALING WITH THEM AGAIN!

Don't get a fence installed with them unless you want a headache if they mess up. A fence install was supposed to take one day, however someone messed up and didn't count the pieces correctly & was missing a post. They didn't inform me of this until afterwards and left me without a gate for about a week. I have 2 dogs but no one wanted to take responsibility for the error so I kept being told to contact production office which is located in Indiana. My project coordinator was very unresponsive. I had to show up at the actual store location that I signed the contract at to get help and even then was told that it was all up to production. Now I'm currently experiencing an issue with a latch and have been contacting the company for over a month. I keep being told it's the installer that isn't getting back to them. However, that's not really a valid excuse as I signed a contract with Lowes, not their installer. No one ever returns phone calls and when you get ahold of a customer service rep they give you the typical responses however no actions are ever taken. When asked if they could switch my installer I was told Premier Fence (who isn't responding to any inquiries) is the only installer they have. Finally after calling Lowes several times yesterday, the installer called me and said they'd come out today between 9-11am. No one ever showed up or called me to explain why. Completely frustrating! Don't use Lowes or apparently Premier Fence if you live in the Chicagoland Area!

If you are dumb enough to sit in the check out line for a hour wile others move around you and pay for their products you only have yourself to blame. Most people would be on their feet moving with the line or to another register (even if it means taking the product to a check out inside the store) if the garden center lines weren't moving. My guess is that you were really only in line for 5 to 10 minutes but an hour sounds like more to complain about.

Lowes - Deck Rebuilding Estimate Review from Chicago, Illinois

All I've been trying to get is an estimate. I want to get my deck rebuild and screened. When the sales guy came out, he said they've never screened a deck and was going to check with a carpenter to see if there's anything he can do. So after 3 days he said he would work on the quote and would get back to me. He then said he couldn't have the deck built because they couldnt find the see thru roof panel sheets I wanted to use for a roof. He's full of ***, they sell that at their stores! Then I asked for a second quote just to build the deck. He said he'd put some numbers together the following week. Mid week he didnt call and someone from Lowes called to confirm that he gave me a quote, then said she'd check on it. Well nothing. so 1 month later after we met, I still havent gotten it. I wanted composite and I was honestly willing to spend over $20,000 to get it done. Sounds like Lowes didnt want my business. Home Depot is the best. Sorry Lowes. you messed up and I'm letting everyone who's been asking about this project not to go thru you. He didnt want to give me a quote. I'm taking my money elsewhere. Lowes your salesmen are costing you money.

It's obviously a project that is beyond the capabilities of their construction crews. Building a deck is one thing, adding a roof and enclosure is another.

You are obviously better off getting quotes from someone that does this kind of work rather than a deck builder. I sure wouldn't want someone with no experience working on my house.

You should be glad they didn't give you an estimate for work they aren't qualified to do. You wouldn't take your car to Jiffy Lube and expect them to do an engine overhaul.

I visited Lowe's today 6/29/16 in Mccomb Ms.I just don't understand how your business has over 40 to 50 workers on dayshift working and every worker you have is lazy and just walks around doing Nothing!!!! My husband and I asked 3 different workers for assistance and none of them were helpful at all!!! U asked them where something is and the response is either I don't know or check aisle 9,10,or 11.Really??? Why can't they be helpful enough to walk the customer to the item you are looking for.Alot of the workers brag about making 12 to 15/hr and just ride t g e clock.this is ashame!!!!!! On another visit several months back ,I purchased a toilet for lowes.I am a young lady, the worker in that section knew that I was purchasing it but still didn't help to load on my buggy or help me transfer to my truck!!! Easily my back could have been broken...They need to be more helpful to customers instead of doing wasted labor.
