Lowes in Goshen, Indiana - Steven darling..fence contractor damages home
Over 2 years now trying to get the over 27,000.00 Lowe’s owes me due to a contractor damaging my home. I paid them 17,000.00 to install a fence and contractor hit sewer line causing over 50K damage to inside of home. Steven darling is impolite won’t return calls emails or any contact and corporate help says I must deal with claims. Steven is the claims examiner assigned. Is there anyone who can assist?!?!?

Lowes in Avon, Indiana - Lowe's poor customer service and Fence Installation
Please do not use Lowe's for any home improvements (including Fence installation) If you are contacted by Ward Walker to set up an estimate...run and go with a locally owned company. I have spent over 2 months waiting for Lowe's to correct an incomplete and poorly installed fence. We moved into a brand new Westport home in Avon and although I had other options, I chose Lowe's to install out fence (HUGE MISTAKE). They hired independent contractors to do the work and although I knew this, was promised by Ward Walker that it would be installed without issue and he would make sure to it. I will never give Lowe's another dime of my money. I have escalated this to the corporate level with no resolve or repair. Lowe's is NOT a good company and please save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

I had my fence installed back on April 6 2018. The installation company did a good job, but didnt install all the handles and locks bars. He told me to return them to the store for a refund of about 60 or 75 dollars. Mind you they also left about 15 extra bags of concrete outside on a pallet some of which got ruined because of the rain. My son told me they should have installed everything that was order. I call the project manager and explained the situation and he told me he would have them to return. A month went by, I have not heard from either one of them. So, last week I called the customer service line and was told to expect a call from a manager. I explained to the young lady what happened and that I can get someone else to install them,but I need Lowes to pay for it. This fencing project has already cost me well over $11,000.00. I didnt expect to this to take months to fix. And yes I tried to contact the fence company and get no answer. Not very happy.

Lowes in Richmond, Indiana - The fence without gates
My wife and I purchased a fence from Lowes. Lowes was to provide the fence and have it installed. In 6 days it will be 3 months since our in person order was made. Lowes tells us now that the manufacture does not make a gate to match the fence we purchased. We bought the fence for a home we just purchased. The fence was purchased to contain our dog when he goes out. Now Lowes installer tells us it may be next spring before he can finish the fence due to cold temperatures affecting the vinyl fence during installation. We put the fence on our Lowes card and have to make payments even though we don't have the fence. The fence department at Lowes here in Richmond In. is ran by Corey and Heather both refuse to return calls. The manager of the store told me he did not believe our story of poor service. We then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That's when we found out that Lowes has a special department to handle these issues. We were then offered 3 options to correct the issue. After deciding on Lowes replacing the fence with a fence that has a matching gate Lowes again would not return calls. So back to the Better Business Bureau. After filing another complaint Lowes called us again. With a promise to have information to us today on a new fence with a matching gate. It is 3:00 in the afternoon and I doubt I hear from Lowes as promised. We have lived in this community our entire lives. We have never experienced anything like this in our lives. Lowes does not care about it's customers nor the products it sells. We are still walking our dog to let him do his business. And Lowes is still AWOL. Before doing business with Lowes or any business please check into the store. I wish we would have. Have called numerous times. I was told he “doesn’t have a supervisor”.
Called corporate And asked for An email Or number to talk to whomever is in charge of the insurance department. They told me they don’t have that information but they would pass a message along. I got a one line email from Steven. He said I’m told you’re trying to get ahold of me.
I answered and explained that we need to resolve this and he hasn’t answered.
That was months ago. Very frustrating
I would love to. Haven’t found one that doesn’t want a large retainer.
Time to lawyer up.
