Lowes in Shelbyville, Kentucky - Slow to non existent customer service

The Lowe’s in Shelbyville is in a great location and is much needed. However the customer service is almost non existent. This observation is not based on a one time experience but rather multiple experiences within the last 3 years. It can be at 7 am when the store isn’t busy or around lunch time when all staff seems to take their breaks. After years of dealing with this. I think we have reached our breaking point with this Lowe’s and will be switching to Home Depot. It’s an extra 20 minute drive us but it will all even out when you consider how long you have to wait for assistance at this Lowe’s

And perhaps I have thought about that. That’s why I go to Lowe’s at different times of the day but the result is always the same....

slow to non existent customer service.

I have been shopping there for years at all different times and the result is always the same. At some point the determination has to be made that maybe their customer service could use a little bit more attention to detail.

Perhaps you are shopping at the wrong time. There aren't many stores that will have a full staff at 7AM when there aren't many customers shopping. Same goes for meal times, they can't bring in extra staff just to cover meal brakes.

Lowes in Murray, Kentucky - Countertops BAD EXPERIENCE

I decided to get three quotes for new countertops for my kitchen and bath. Two companies came out and measured and gave me quotes within 48 hours FREE OF CHARGE. Lowe's on the other hand was a very different experience. First, it took me three trips to Lowe's to even find a salesperson to help me. Second, Lowe's charged me $75 just to send a guy out to measure PLUS It's been a week and I still don't have a quote from Lowe's! By the time I get a quote from Lowe's I could have already had my countertops installed!

Lowes in Bowling Green, Kentucky - Damaged goods

I bought a washer and dryer in the Bowling Green Store a few days prior to Memorial day. Delivery was set up to be The on May 28th. Which my husband wasted a whole day for the delivery to arrive. Once it finally got there it was damaged beyond repair and we were told that they would replace it and go ahead and use it. It flooded the utility room. Then I called Lowes to find out that they would not deliver till June the 12th. Which after been ugly with them they agreed to bring one the next day. This time I waited all day and was told at 9am they would be there in 2 hours. which was actually 5 hours later. Guess what this washer was also damaged and I refused to even bring it in. I went to Lowes and talked to the manager who agreed to give me a discount and pick up Sunday. When I got there Sunday the person he told me to see wasn't even there. So they weren't able to give me a discount. I was asked to come back today. My third trip and I live 100 miles away. I feel like they owe me for making so many trips. I certainly can't believe how this store is run and will be taking my business else where. My number is 270-847-9208.

No, but I have sold appliances in the past at another retail store and am aware of the realities of retail sales. People just need to take a pause and look at both sides of the situation.

Customers all too often expect sales people to do the impossible and sometimes salespeople don't take enough time to explain exactly what the situation is (providing the customer will listen). They key here is that the post says they got ugly with Lowes.

In most cases if a customer comes in with a problem and acts in a reasonable manner a satisfactory solution can be reached. When customers get "ugly" the employees at the store (were are dealing with human beings here) get defensive and the customer more often than not loose.

I expect that the reason they weren't going to re-deliver until June 12th was that they were going to order a new one from the manufacturer. When you got ugly with them it sounds like they decided to send a floor model out. I would have waited for a fresh out of the box model myself.

After buying 3 disposals in less than a year, i Upgraded to the best they had. They would no longer replace the old ones. The new one lasted exactly 1 month and they refused to repair or replace it because they said it was obviously installed incorrectly because I was having so much trouble. Tell me how the *** do you install a garbage disposal incorrectly. My daughters whirlpool washer broke down and after tries at fixing it, lowes told their own repair man they would no longer pay for his services, and they would not send another repair man, so our extended warranty is worthless. LOWES IS WORTHLESS. I will NEVER step foot in any of their stores again. I can afford to go into mom and pop stores where I can get personalized service.

Something sounds odd if you have gone through 4 disposers within a year. Are they being overloaded?

Run without water? My guess is that it is being abused rather than their being defective units.

I hired Lowe's to replace the wooden door of my dry way with a new vinyl. They came to finish the work on the scheduled date 11/20/18 the work was half done and very bad to see after a month still the doors do not have a latch, the wind has done some damage, and had to move my dog My brother's house escaped twice. I have communicated with the customer service four times and they only tell me that I should keep waiting. for the price that I already paid them, they should provide much better service but it seems that they have no intention of finishing my work, in the end they charged in advance. It is really very worrying that large and established companies like Lowe's are also committing to scam their clients with many chances that their scams go unpunished. Be very careful with Lowe's they do not respect their customers

they have screwed up even an online payment I made - said I owe them twice as much - payment made 3 days prior to due date and I have confirmation number and cannot speak to anyone without going thru all the bs - synchrony bank is the worst - they will kill lowes business big mistake.

Your complaint is with the credit card company, not Lowe’s. Never mail a payment 3 days prior to the due date.

Better yet, never mail a bill payment. Online payments only.

I wouldn't count on the post office delivering a letter within a 3 day time period. I have heard of people getting letters months and even years after they were mailed.

I'd give it at least a week with the post office. There's a reason why people call it snail mail.

First of all your complaint it with the credit company that issued your card, not Lowes. Second, they don't look at the date you send the payment, it is when they receive it.

If you mailed your payments when you received the bill rather than waiting till just before the due dat you wouldn't have this problem. Normal mail delivery is within 3 business days, weekends don't count. As yours isn't the only piece of mail they receive it takes time to process all the payments they receive, so if they receive it late in the day it may not get processed that day. Most bills I receive recommend mailing payments at least 5 business days before the due date to avoid late payments.

There aren't many banks around that don't offer free on-line bill payments.

Take advantage of their free service and save the postage of sending a payment in the mail. When you get your bill, go on-line and set up your payment the business day before it is due and you will never have problems with late payments again.

Or make payment at a lowes store. Every retail store with their own credit card accepts cash payment at their registers, and provides receipt proof of the day you made payment should there be a late fee dispute
