Went to Lowes' to buy a kitchen faucet. Got home and found all the components out of the plastic packaging.
There was even water in one of the flexible plastic tubes. One open plastic bag had a light blood smear on it. Took it back for exchange and one of the managers suggested that, to paraphrase: "The factory tests their tubes by running water through them". Lol.
Think of the public health hazardous of leaving standing water in a tube used for drinking water, not to mention what it would do to packaging integrity. And does the factory also unpack all the components from the plastic bags and throw them back strewn all over the box? Bad policy of selling used goods as new while providing idiotic and equivocating rationale to justify such bad policy -- brought to you by the Lowe's in Auburn, Maine.
Plumbing reps were good, though - they got me the right replacement washers.
