Lowes in Wentzville, Missouri - I Can't Receive Billing Statements by mail

But I can receive the credit card by mail but no statements sound fishy! Everything is being put on the Post Office, sorry wrong story! I work for the PO. No problems with any other mail being returned!

Lowes in Binghamton, New York - Paying by check

Today...Sept 28, 2018 I went to the "service desk" to make a payment in full of a business account. I used my Paymaster machine to place the correct amount on the correct line and that's where this story goes crazy. Now my business account with Blowes is about 10 years old. 10's of thousands of dollars over the years....here goes....clerk at the service desk explained she couldn't process a check that didn' t have the numerical amount....SPELLED OUT. A paymaster machine is used because it's makes it next to impossible to alter the amount the check is issued for. Eventually they accepted the check but told me in the future they had to have my payment....hand written. Closed account and will now use corporate VISA card to stick them with fees. Yes I called corporate....they were clueless. Of course I got the smart *** comment..." Have a nice day".

Write the check out like a normal person. It isn't the service desk's fault you used something outdated to write a check out.

My guess is that if you had mailed the check to the credit company that issued your account you would have had no problem. Retail stores aren't used to this type of check and most employees have probably never seen one.

Lowes - Just keep transferring me

What is it? "My Lowes", the credit card company (Stinkrany) or Customer Support? Opened up my account online. Recent purchases showed 2016 purchases. Just purchased several items in April and May 2018 and did not show up in recent purchases. Was transferred 3 times after which I hung up. Printed out statements but some were missing. I have no idea what my recent purchase might be but will save all receipts. How can a store the size of Lowes possibly in good conscientious, have such an awful website? Getting a 5% discount on purchases may not be worth it . Might they be worst than Verizon? Very close and right up there with Sears. (AKA Tears as that's what happens every time I talk with their Customer Support)

If I understand correctly, your complaint is with the credit card. If so, you'll have to complain to Synchrony Bank. Lowe's does not own the bank and neither can they control what the bank does.

This is an inconvenience and dings my credit report. Nobody contacted me first, they just closed it. The person in costumer service said it could not be reopened, and even suggested it was because of my credit rating. Not true at all..

The Lowe's credit card is through Synchrony Bank. Accounts are automatically closed after a period of inactivity. This is the bank's policy not Lowe's.

Why are you complain about Lowes? You never had an account with them that they could close.

You had an account with an independent credit company that issued a card with Lowes name on it that could be used at Lowes.

Lowes has no control over your account. Your complaint should be with the credit company.

First off, closing an account for a reason is not racism. Saying "we're closing your account because you are a (insert race or religion of your choice) is racism.

Learn the difference and maybe someday someone will believe it when you really are discriminated against. Banks don't close accounts (and again, it was the issuing bank that closed it, NOT Lowe's) without following specific legal regulations.

What an ignorant comment. Lowes didn't close your account.

You don't have an account with Lowes. You have an account with a credit company that issues cards with Lowes name on them that can be used at Lowes.

If you had bothered to read the agreement you have with that company you would know that they can check your ratings from time to time. It isn't their fault that your ratings have dropped enough that they aren't comfortable with extending credit to you any more.

your credit also gets canceled for NOT using your Lowes Card. I was paying my low balance and not using the card for 2 months(YES TWO MONTHS).

I have a project coming up. But WHATEVER.

I will just use my home depot account.... but the conversation is being pasted everywhere I can think of to put it for people to read that they actually closed for not using for 2 months.......

Lowes has nothing to do with your account with an independent credit company other than that the account can be used at their store. Why are you carrying a high interest rate store card anyway>

Lowes - Be careful!

I am retired and have to split my payments up during the month, between myself and my husband who is also on a fixed income. I didn't understand about the billing periods. Just thought as long as I made the total payment before the due date, that was sufficient. Because they said I didn't make a $40.00 payment during the billing period, they charged me an extra $100.00. I had already paid $100.00 and had set up the $40.00 online to be paid before the due date. So I just had to put off other necessities to pay them $240.00 or be charged another big fee. I am going to find a way to pay them off and close the account!

There is such a thing as making a payment too soon. If you made the payment after the previous due date but before the end of the billing period (usually a few days apart) your payment would have been credited to the previous billing period and show no payment was made for the current period.

I have had my lowes account since 2012. The *** cashier put my most recent purchase on the wrong account. No one in the store could fix it but said to call their customer service number. The *** person at customer service kept me on the call for 45 minutes and then deactivated my account and said that it was permanent. WHAT? DON'T YOU HAVE A DO AT LEAST A NIGHTLY BACKUP FOR THIS IMPORTANT DATA. NOPE!!! So what good is a system that an employee error or software bug can delete all data and there is no recovery. I had almost 6 years of purchases trusting their hype that they were saving all my data.

Lowes - Done with Lowe's

Today I learned that Lowe's had closed the credit card account I opened in 2008. Since that time I have had a perfect payment history with them. Each year they manage to send me account change disclosures, privacy practices, etc. However, they were not able or willing to tell me that they would close my account for recent lack of charges. Talking to their customer dis-service agents, including a "supervisor" here in the US, was a waste of time. The people who are supposed to support customers were not authorized to reinstate a closed account. So I opened an account at Home Depot. The HD product line is larger, I have two stores closer to me than Lowe's, and the process of opening a new account with Home Depot was painless and quick. Lowe's needs to learn the essentials of customer relations. There is no reason for me to ever do business with Lowe's again. So I won't.

Lowes didn't close an account you never had with them. Lowes does not extend credit to anyone.

The account you had was with an independent credit company that issues cards that can be used at Lowes. If you have a complaint with anyone it is them.

If you have good credit you should be carrying a major credit card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card) that would have a lower interest rate than a store card. There is really no reason to have a store card.

and says there is nothing I can do... its closed. thank god I turned the lowes job down years ago...... the manager told everyone that day that everyone has to take computer test time to time and you cant log on at home....he said you have to take the test during your LUNCH BREAK.

by law you are allowed a lunch break not to take your stupid test .

some of the things the manager had said that day, lead me to believe LOWES is some kind of Occult.... also was told that if you had big purchases of building materials that they would send someone to your house to check it out to make sure that it is your stuff and not someone elses for their tiny discount.

it shouldn't matter if you used your card or not in any amount of time. the bank get greedy when they don't get that interest every month if you don't use your card.then when you have to talk to them you cant understand them.. they are probably all illegal being in our country.

Years ago when LOWE'S was the only big game in town here in North Central WV, my parent and my self both had Credit accounts with LOWE'S CREDIT, in Ga. well my father passed away in 93, and my mother" paid off and closed their account". I owed about $1,700 dollars, and decided to consolidate my bills. The lender sent the money directly to LOWE'S CREDIT. Now this is where it becomes interesting, my father being a Sr. and my self Jr. with different account numbers. Well all was well until about 10 years later, when my wife checked my credit rating and found out that LOWE'S Credit was showing that that my account was still open and delinquent against my credit score. Well come to find out that Lowe's had posted the payoff on to my Parent's "closed account". We finally found my parents charge card and sent proof about their mistake, which took about another 2 Years to rectify, and they were never helpful. and had to fight them all of the way. And by the way I after about 12 years were was given an apologize, for ruining my credit
