We bought carpet at Lowe's and had them install it. We called the store because of issues with the installation and set up an appointment to have someone come to look at it. When nobody showed up we called the store and realized that they never even scheduled someone to come out. We sat at home waiting for someone that was never coming. Very unprofessional! They have lost a long time customer! Hello Home Depot!

I went to Lowes of Egg Harbor Township NJ this morning to pay the balance for my carpet install. I was excited about getting my room done until I arrived at Lowes. After patiently waiting, the salesman finally got to me and began to process the order. Another customer came to the desk and didn't say excuse me or anything just started asking questions about carpet to the sales person. He stopped waiting on me to answer her question which I didn't mind, she then asked another question and he stopped waiting on me a second time and then left the desk to help her and told me he would be right back. I waited for ten minutes and he had not returned. I looked for him and said to him you need to finish waiting on me, I am 76 years old and on medication that I have to be home to take. He said I will be right back again. I was so mad after waiting for him to wait on me and he just ignored me place in line and my two requests to finish waiting on me. I got so disgusted and I left and went to customer service and asked for a manager and told them what happen and that I wanted my money back and to cancel the order. I felt it was necessary to file this complaint so that you could rectify this problem with this sales person so it never happens again. Plus to let you know an order was lost due to the sales persons bad customer service. In closing, I really wanted this carpet and feel that I should be able to get proper service when I am paying in cash, in full. So upset and disappointed. I have been purchasing all of my home needs from Lowes for years, in fact I never go to Home Depot for anything, but today I guess I am forced to do so. Please advise???

Lowes in Brownsburg, Indiana - Credit PROMO

Same thing happened to me. I had been in several times picking carpet, blinds pad....asking questions got measurements. Then denied on spot have to wait on denial letter which I have not received. I am not happy with their customer service knowledge of how credit works. Asked about measurements not being close to what another company had given me. I am concerned about time frame of installation...after paying for my carpet. Did not like the way the front desk has no knowledge of financing and nobody there to answer questions. Lowes in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania - Carpet Bought and Installed by Lowe's

I had the original builder's carpet (23 years old) replaced in my house. Living room dining room, stairs, hallway and 3 bedrooms. This house is occupied by myself and my husband (in our 50s). The only thing wrong with the old carpet is it was worn in some spots. Lowe's has contractors install their carpet. The carpet I bought has a 25 year warranty. In two years it looked like *** (way worse than the original builder's carpet). It started to buckle all over the house (even in the hallway where there is no furniture). Horrible. I would never, ever, ever, buy carpet at lowe's. The quality of the carpet and especially the installation was terrible. A waste of a lot of money. No excuse for this!!!!! And, someone needs to tell me why carpet with a 25 year warranty only comes with a one year installation warranty - oh, yeah, that's right - the installers do a *** job and Lowe's knows it. I will never step foot inside a lowe's for any reason and neither will any of my siblings, in-laws, cousins and everyone we tell about it on facebook.

Early May of this year my husband and I visited your store @4430 Illinois rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46804. We had been pricing carpet for our living room and stairs w/hall. We spoke to John McKnight(he was very nice and helpful). We found a carpet that we liked and John set up a visit for the installers to come out and measure those areas in our home. The gentleman that was sent to our home(who is contracted by Lowes) measured 528sqft. We were shocked and told him that we have had other contractors out and they measured 462sqft.(quite a difference). He assured us that his form of measurement(a laser) was much more accurate. we had no reason to not believe him. After instillation we are now left with a piece of carpet that measures 10ft by 7ft(almost enough for another room). We called the store on Illinois rd. and spoke to Jessica. They were not willing to refund the left over carpet. Not only do we have this big piece of carpet, but, we paid for the instillation of this piece along with padding. We would like to be refunded for the instillation charge, and would be happy to bring this left over carpet back for a refund of $1.54sqft. We also noted that the carpet we picked out in the store did not match the same thickness quality that was installed in our house. When we questioned this, a clerk @Illinois rd store even agreed that the sample we brought in did not compare with the piece in the store, and said she would send our sample out to make sure we got what we paid for. A representative from the carpet manufacturer explained to my husband that once the carpet is installed it is stretched and will appear thinner than the sample in the store. However, the piece we brought had not been installed so there should not have been a difference. We feel this has been an absolute nightmare and are filling a complaint with our local Better Business Bureau.

WRONG CARPET INSTALLED BY LOWES

Installed wrong carpet! We ordered and paid for SOS Soul Mate carpet with pet protection. This is a thick dense carpet. We asked for it to be the color of a low end thin carpet SOS Kindred Spirit. They delivered and installed the Kindred Spirit carpet. My wife told them it was Wrong when it was on the truck. Lowes was called and they kept stating the carpet has to BLOOM. I rushed home and its NEVER GOING TO BLOOM because its the wrong carpet! I took the both the sales carpet samples I still have into Lowes along with a piece of the installed carpet. Everyone in lowes flooring agreed we got the wrong carpet. Except for the RUDE Lowes manager that would not even look at all the samples I brought in. The manger called the installer owner that was NOT even at our house and he BLAMED my wife. To add she just got out of the hospital. Worse yet my 21 year old son notice money he had on his wall shelf in a box is missing today. He went into Lowes today and they told him they will get him the installers phone # or he can file a police report! WHAT!!!!! WE DID NOT PICK THE INSTALLERS LOWES DID!!!!!!!!!!

Lowes - Carpet Installation Review from Kennesaw, Georgia

I recently had carpet installed by Lowes, never again!!! The company they used as they sub contract out was Keller and the office people are horrible to communicate with. Once I got a date the installer showed up with no help and I had to re schedule after I left work to come home to take out all the electronics that I was not told I had to do, that was the stores fault. Once the installers left the next day I realized that they had not run the carpet under the base board in both corners in the back of the room as well as they had splashed glue on the bottom of my drapes which I know have to replace 4 windows !!!! God knows how much that will cost and I am waiting for a call from Keller who did the install !!!! Never use Lowes ever!!!

This is because the Keller company actually made half as much money as they would have if you had contracted directly with them. Lowe's keeps half of the contracted labor amount for themselves.

Of course the installer is going to rush the job and cut corners as much as possible!

And of course they are going to blame each other for the problems! Good luck.
