On 4/4/18 ordered and paid for carpet and installation Several weeks later carpet came in and 2 guys came out to install We cleared room and they put down tack strips on steps and room They then discovered carpet was defective They called someone and then came back told me I have to call Lowe’s I called the store but they could not help me I had to call installation dept I called and they ordered new carpet and told me when it came in they Would be out within a day to finish installation Carpet came in and they called stating they could not install for 3 weeks In the meantime I have rooms contents stacked in next room and sharp Tack strips on our steps I have talked with installation department 3 times and they are like talking To a wall I purchased carpet because of veterans discount but looking Back the aggravation Lowe’s has caused me was not worth it I will never use Lowe’s installation again I wish I had just purchased from local shop Lowe’s is infuriating to deal with because they are so big they just Do not care Lesson learned Right now have lead on guy who installs on the side Maybe that will work

Lowe's terrible customer service. They refer you to installation dept. Do not buy carpet from Lowe's.

Lowes in Tukwila, Washington - Hopping mad!

Not happy with Lowe installers for rug in bedroom.. they cancelled the installation 2 times and finally came 3rd appt.. Installers sort of uncivilized, no time to talk and apologize for two appts change for the installation. I had taken the days for that purpose to be home.. In fact installers avoided talk at all.. even greeting. One came to door and other stayed out in driveway, I came out .. He did not greet me like normal person. They did a sort of a rush job with the carpet, just apology for canceling two days installment, would have been appropriate, as well as introducing themselves... Lowe does not use civilized appropriate workers as far as I can see.

The people doing the actually installation of your carpet may have no idea that your installation had been delayed. They just go out to the jobs the scheduler has them set up for when they show up to work in the morning. Many of the installers aren't fluent in English and wouldn't feel comfortable striking up a conversation with you.

Lowes - Terrible customer service

After paying Lowe’s for carpet and installation waited approximately two weeks was told install would be Tues morning which was fine took day off to be home was told a couple days in advance install would be in the afternoon. After waiting all day called around 4:30 to see what was going on. I was told the installers were about 30-40 minutes out to which I told the company that would not work as I have to get up early to go to work. After going to Lowe’s in person to talk to manager he said he would contact the company that does the install to see what he could do. The man he spoke to said the installers were on their way and I told him don’t bother they will have to come back on Saturday to which he refused. I will never do business with Lowe’s again Larry Hadley Marion NC

It's an unfortunate fact of life that things can throw delivery or installation schedules off. Your best bet would have been to let them install the carpet Tuesday even if it meant you would get a short night of sleep.

Expecting them to bump another installation on Saturday would have just created another problem. Had you asked to have the installation scheduled on the next open Saturday they probably would have done that.

Lowes is the worst place to get carpet!! They installed my carpet Approx: $6300.00 and it has more "HUMPS" in it the a team of Camels !!!!!!! They never stretched the carpet on the install! Talked to Lowes store manager/and Lowes corporate, they said $2000.00 MORE dollars and well replace it.......WTF (if it was installed right in the first place none of this would have happened!) I live by my self and NEVER wore shoes on the carpet ever,and sweep it once a week! There RIPP OFF'S!!!!!!!!!I bought everything for my new house from them,curtains,shower doors ,vanities, paint,light fixtures,stain for my fence,bulbs,screws,the list go's on and on. And they treat me like this? I guess thats why its called L O W E S there' low" CAN ANY BODY HELP ME HERE??????

Lowes in Medford, Oregon - Go To Home Depot

Picked out tile and carpet at Lowes. We installed the tile ourselves but when it came time for the carpet install that's where they list me to Home Depot. Wished we gave Home Depot all our money. The installer called to schedule measurements. I let him know we don't get home until 3:30 pm but that the store assured us that would not be a problem as they do measurement until 5 pm. Brandon told me he lives in Rosevurg so he needs to leave town by 3:00 pm. I called the store tinker them know their installers quit at 3 pm and wondered if they had other installers. Christine told me no but she would call the company to see what was going on and would call me back. One week later and she never called me back. So, I called and spoke with the main manager, Scott. Scott assured me I could call and speak with Ryan and he would take care of me and that he was aware of the situation. So, I called Ryan and he knew nothing about it but when I suggested he speak with Scott and call me back he rudely informed me he was standing next to Scott when I called original. Ok great! Ryan let me known the installer was not going to answer the phone on Sunday just for me. As a consumer I already knew that :) but thanks. Ryan assured me he'd call me on Monday and make arrangements. Funny, Ryan was the end decision I went with Home Depot on Sunday and ordered carpet but good thing I did because Ryan never called me back today. Lowes, I was a solid customer and even drove across town for you when Home Depot was right in my neighborhood. Bye-bye Lowes and hello Home Depot and every other local store I can find. Customer service still matters.

I know, right. On the Home Depot complaint site they are always saying “I’m going to Lowe’s”.

And what is with this site anyhow? The majority of the posters have some sort of pattern to the name they leave.

It’s always a stupid variation of an adjective, name of an animal, then a three digit number. For example: RavishingTerrier243

After reading so many bad reviews, I was very hesitant to use Lowes. But our experience replacing carpeting in 3BRs, family room, stairs, closets was great. Ordered Stainmaster Pet Protect Riverwalk from their Cary, NC location. Employee Adam was knowledgeable and made no errors. I was also concerned that the installation go well. Installers from Legacy Flooring in Raleigh, NC arrived on time. Three man crew moved designated furniture, ripped up old carpet and pad, installed new of both, vacuumed and hauled away old materials. Crew chief wore t-shirt "Rodriguez Flooring" so maybe Legacy subbed it to them. Crew was professional, polite and did a wonderful job - even asked where we wanted seams placed. Couldn't have gone better. It's beautiful! I think it really matters that the installers have lots of experience. Otherwise, it can be a nightmare.

Where do I began? At the end bc I have spoken my complaints so often that even I’m tired of them. Lowe’s, specially store 1153 in McDonough Ga, doesn’t give a hoot about customers once they have your money. Oh, the complaint line is a joke bc all they do is send you back to the store that messed you over in the first place. I have dealt with this poor treatment since November and it’s now February. They even canceled my carpet installation because I had the nerve to complain about being overcharged by $1900. Yes, this has caused my condition to worsen and my pockets to lessen....anyone who wants to hear why you should not trust this store can call me 7706587313, wish my number spelled out buyer beware

I see nothing in your statement about them not being friendly with military they give up to 10 percent off but does not include install and does not cover by those who are dishonorably discharged

Lowes in Independence, Missouri - Different carpet with the same model number,

we had installed some carpet in our living room two years ago from lowes. We liked it and purchased same model of carpet for our bedroom. Understandably, the price has gone up 70 cent per square foot. when the carpet showed up today, we noted significant difference. The fiber is 2-3 mm shorter and looked of less quality. My wife went to the store and check with the manager. Of course that is exact the same model number! Don't you think after such change in both price and fiber length, a different model number is needed? we are offered a discount. (we had similar experience at home depot when we are offered discount and declined to accept). after two months of waiting with bedroom furnitures dissembled, we accept the discount and had the carpet installed today. This is my experience for carpet purchase and installation, first from Home Depot, then Lowes. After spending $1800, waited 7 weeks, had an unwanted carpet in my bedroom. Is this the industry standard now a days? .
