Lowes in Greenwood, Indiana - Poor service

October/23/18 had asked for repairman for my side by side refrigerator for the second time. Was scheduled 12/22/18 between 8-12. This was the second time. At least the man did show up in my driveway, but I kept waiting for him to come to the door. He left. Later said he knocked but I didn't answer. I was standing in the front window, but he didn't call to see maybe I didn't hear the knock, just left. We were on the phone trying to get him back , but all I got was voicemail and no response. Called Lowes and was told I had to reschedule for next week. Same thing as before, he didn't show and wasn't sure when he could come. Was told I could get someone else to fix it which I did and paid the$75.00 and was told they would reimburse me. Made 3 phone calls asking for paperwork to file, had to be to an email address, will not mail. 3 different times never received the email to my box, asked Customer Service to mail it to me as I had confirmed my email address 3 times and never received. They refused to mail and cant get me the paperwork, so I had to lose $75.00 on a fixed income. I will never buy another extended warranty from Lowes. Sad

Lowes in Boston, Massachusetts - Horrible Experience

I ordered all kitchen appliances, Lowe's only delivered dishwasher and a damaged refrigerator which I returned and for which they did not have a replacement. It has been three weeks and they have not refunded my money yet. I have spent at least 20 hours on the phone with Lowe's. You could not find any business that cares less and is so negligent. They always say someone will call in 24 hours, which they do not. They keep creating new case numbers, because they need to be answered in 24 hours so they bypass that. I am not sure what else I can do, they have not refunded my money, and refuse to show any sings of effort to correct the situation.

You returned it the store or did the delivery drivers return it? If you returned it yourself, you would have gotten the refund right there at customer service. If they returned it, you'll have to speak to the delivery department.

Lowes never responded. Their in store customer service sucks and they can't even respond via email.

*** poor service and management, besides being the highest price in the area. Lowes needs to change their name to BLOWES

Went to lowes in delavan wi to purchase a gas fire pit, online it says they have 6. Upon arrival AT 9:30 AM, no clerk anywhere around , found one she called another, she didn't know anything asks a male clerk he knows nothing, they looked from one end of store to the other asking other clerks, nobody knows anything. After an hour I said to one clerk home depot has the same thing, she says she would go to home depot. Then the assistant manager wonders by and she was no help either. So 15 minutes later I'm at home depot online it says Aisle 47, Bay 017 , and that is exactly where it is, same price as lowes. check out and done in less than 10 minutes. WAY TO GO HOME DEPOT!!!!! YOUR THE BEST WAY TO GO BLOWES YOU HAVE PROVED TO BE THE HIGHEST PRICED WITH THE POOREST SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not surprising employees don't know what's in their store ad or where something actually is in the store given the size of these stores. However, in your situation, someone should have known what department the product should be in or at least how to find it's location.

Apparently not. Most of the employees are really there to help stock the shelves, not know much of anything about the products they sell---ever try to get some good advice about a product?

1. On September 6, I purchased five fans online: Order #35827619 and Order #355826926. 2.I received confirmation that provided the order details (purchase date, time, etc.). 3.At approximately, 9:30pm, I went to Lowes of Alexandria (6750 Richmond Highway . Alexandria, VA 22306). I visited the fan department upon entering the store and a gentleman asked if I needed help. I shared that I had purchased five fans online and just wanted to see the display model. The extremely polite gentleman volunteered information about the fans and answered all questions. He told me that the fans would be at the Customer Service Desk (CSD). 4.I went to the CSD and told Tracey that I had purchased fans online, provided the confirmation numbers and wanted to pick them up. 5.Tracey told me a) the fans were not at the CSD, and b) I had not purchased the fans that’s why they were not at the CSD. 6.I asked her to explain how I could have confirmation numbers if I had not made the purchases. 7.Tracey turned around, walked away, took a seat, and started doing something. She said I can still hear you. I refused to talk. When she turned back around I repeated #6. Tracey told again a) that I had not made a purchase and b) I had to go get the fans bring them to the CSD and buy them. 8.I told her that the fans were already purchased and they were supposed to be here at the CSD according to previous online experiences. I also shared that the gentleman in the fan department agreed with me. 9.Tracey told again a) that I had not made a purchase and b) I had to go get the fans bring them to the CSD and buy them. 10.I asked her what I was supposed to put them in or on. 11.Tracey told me to walk back to the fan department and someone would figure it out. 12.I went to the fan department and the gentleman placed the fans in a shopping cart per my request. I told him my challenge about convincing Tracey I had purchased the fans. He escorted me to the CSD and witnessed Tracey telling me I had not purchased the fans. 13.I asked Tracey (and he witnessed) to allow me to tell her my truth and ask clear concise questions because I did not want to get charged twice. I spoke three sentences and Tracey cut me off. I stopped talking and when she finished I started sharing again. Tracey again cut me off a second time. I told her that I am not used to people cutting me off mid-sentence for it is not effective communication. Tracey yet again cut me off and I pointed out she was doing it yet again! I told her because she will not allow me to share my truth and then ask my question: I had no idea what she could possibly be answering. 14.I attempted to share again but Tracey immediately cut me off. I requested the store manager on duty. 15.I shared with the store manager all of the above. He apologized for Tracey’s behavior and he too could not figure out why she did not believe I had purchased the fans. I shared with him that I am paying customer and I believe I have the right to ask questions – especially given the fact that a) I had used my credit card to complete the transaction online, b) received information from Lowes that the purchases had been made, c) a Lowes’ employee is telling me repeatedly that I had not made the purchase, and d) I needed to bring the fans to CSD and buy them. 16.I then encouraged the store manager to play the store recorded tape to see Tracey turning her back to me, taking a seat to do work that had nothing to do with my transaction – while she was supposed to me helping me. 17.I shared with the store manager my truth: it is always polite for a person to finish talking before one cuts them off which Tracey did several times. I shared that if Tracey could not answer my questions certainly she could have requested the help of her collogues to explain the answers – just like I did. 18.My experience with Tracey was rude and lacked all professional decorum.

I'm guessing English is not your first language. I can't say whether Tracy is right or wrong in this but there is always two sides to every story. Perhaps she couldn't understand what you wanted or perhaps she really is a *** Without the other side of the story, we'll never know for sure.

It is with great sadness that I write this post. My husband and I have depended on Lowe's for ALL of our home improvement needs for many years, BUT NO MORE!!!!! They have lied, and lied, and lied some more. Their customer service is HORRIBLE and they obviously do not give a damn if they make a sale or not. Today is Aug 28th. I have been trying to buy a new stove since August 2nd. Lowe's has screwed this sale on a hundred different levels a hundred different times. I truly believe that they are simply clueless robots that don't give a rat's behind about customers. GOOD BYE TO GOOD RIDDANCE !!!!!!!

Too bad you don't support your claim with some details of what went wrong. All too often in ordering appliances the problem is something the manufacturer has done rather than the store.

my first big purchase from this place and I will never purchase anything from this place again. The product I purchased would not work correctly so I took it back to the store to return and I was denied anything , I had to myself call troubleshooting, which I had done and they still redused to give me an RA number to return the item because I could not return with out that ... customer service was not helpful at all, I was basically made to take care of it myself with no help from anyone but people denying my refund ... I still did not get my $450 refund, customer service in store and on the telephone were terrible , they did not want to listen to what I had to say or work with me .. I will never recommend this store to anyone nor ever step foot in there myself

You don't say what the product was or what the problem was. Manufacturers of certain items don't take their products back.

They have warranties that call for repair, rather than replacement of a defective product. That's why the retail store won't accept returns.

I'll bet if you had bothered looking at the return policy before you made the purchase you would have seen this. it's always a good idea to see what the return policies and warranties are before you purchase an expensive item at any store.

Went to Lowes with a printout from their website of the bbq that I wanted to purchase. The guy in the bbq department told me to go to customer service to make the purchase. The guy there told me that he cannot do that and to go back to the bbq area. Couldn't find anyone there for over 10 minutes. Then they wanted to send me back to customer service. I was soooooo done. I guess that Lowes doesn't want to sell bbqs. BTW the guy in customer service seemed sincere that he couldn't do anything to help. The guys in bbq couldn't care less. This is ridiculous that the guys on the floor don't want to help let alone sell products that i was ready to buy

Called several times. Always get back to operator. Will not purchase again with this type of service. Trans 88646181 07-02-18 need cancel pickup and get $60 credit. Finally, Jerry from Waikele got my call and called the Iwilei store to process the cancellation of the 3 recycled items and process the credit. How Waikele got my call I do not understand but I appreciate the time Jerry spent in helping me. If it were not for her, I would report your store to the Better Business Bureau and the State. Let's see if the credit is processed. I hope I do not have to go further re your horrific service. Doris Otake

I originally requested a quote for a fence replacement/install on-line; however, Lowes never followed up with me. Then one day I received a call that someone will be at my house to the requested quote. I spoke with the person on the phone and indicated that I have no knowledge of any such appointment. He indicated that he understood, as the Lowes on-line system was not very reliable. And that we could reschedule for another date, which we did, which was today (11 July) at 10:00 AM. No one has shown up and no one has called! I called Lowes, and they indicated they have no knowledge/record of my request and/or appointment. Seems I have taken time off for nothing! So far, Lowes has not been any help with follow-up to getting someone to my home for the quote!

Call a local fencing company. You are better off dealing with a company that specializes in fencing rather than a big box store that is going to sub contract the labor to the lowest price contractor they can find and mark up their labor charges to make a huge profit.
