Lowes - Terrible customer service

Our dishwasher failed while we were away and caused a flood in our home. We reported the loss to our insurance company and went to Lowe's to purchase a new dishwasher. During the purchase we were convinced to purchase an extended 5 year protection plan. We told the representative that we would have to wait for installation until renovation in our house was done. He told us to call when we needed the dishwasher. In December I told Lowe's to deliver. They promised a December 21 date. they never called and never delivered. I went to the store and they promised that delivery would be the next day, December 22. They never called and never delivered again. Subsequently, I discovered that they delivered our dishwasher to somebody else who had ordered the same model. In frustration at this comedy of errors, I called and spoke with the first employee who seemed to know what he was doing. He promised a delivery on December 27. I was surprised when Lowe's showed up on December 24 and delivered the dishwasher.The renovation contractor told me not to install yet. They would install when they removed the old one. The Lowe's screw-up scenario continued when,on December 27 Lowe's delivered a second dishwasher. To see how long it would take them to realize their error I decided to wait. After 6 weeks I recognized that Lowe's incompetence would never end and I called them to pick up the second dishwasher. However, the Lowe's debacle had not ended. When the renovation contractor was ready to install the dishwasher we discovered it was defective. I called Lowe's again and they delivered on March 19 a new, working one and took back the defective one. Story ended? No, the last part of Lowe's great customer service had yet to be enacted. They informed me that the 5 year protection plan I purchased in September started the clock running and thus even though the dishwasher was not delivered and installed until late March they would not change the plan start date. Thank you, Lowe's, you just screwed me out of 6 months of purchased protection.

It's not their fault that you waited 6 months to install the dishwasher. You screwed yourself out of 6 months of protection by making the purchase 6 months before you needed the product.

The 5 year extended warranties are a gyp in the first place. Chance are nothing would go wrong with the dishwasher during the 5 years anyway.

They schedule a 5 hour window for delivery with no call to narrow the window, I have waited 5 full hours and they are still not here.. How do you pay for a service that fails their customers... I have called several times to be put off again with sorry the driver is running late with NO new window.. This is not the way to treat paying customer that wasted their entire day.,... I am truly converting back to Home Depo where the services and value of customers are well treated....

Lowes is a terrible terrible company but distributes for good brands, which is the only reason they are in business.

Online ordering terrible, in store service terrible, customer service terrible, delivery service terrible. Shut up

Do you really think the solution is to run to Home Depot? Have you bothered reading the complaints about Home Depot's deliveries?

You will see the same thing there. Unfortunately deliveries are unpredictable for any store. If customers were ready for deliveries and provided proper information things would go much smoother. A truck may get to a home to deliver a refrigerator and find the doorways to the kitchen are't as wide as expected and have to take extra time to remove and replace the doors on the refrigerator to get it in place.

They may also find the customer hadn't removed the food from the old refrigerator and have to wait for it to be cleared out. This is just an example of how deliveries get put behind. Yes, it is frustrating but it is something the store really has no control over.

Perhaps they could be like my local gas company with their appliance repairs. They give you a day, ask if you prefer AM or PM and then tell you they will put the preference down but will show up between 8AM and 5PM with the technician calling when they leave the job before yours.

Lowes delivered new riding mower and the truck ran over and destroyed mailbox. It has been three weeks, twice talking and emailing servpro and still nothing. Manager was very rude and did not make any attempt to resolve the situation.

Lowes - Calling time for delivery

I bought a washer & dryer and was told a narrowed time for delivery would be set up by a phone call on Sunday (8th). I was called, at 9:27 PM. We were already asleep, the call could have been earlier (Sunday has 24 hours in it) since we are considered elders, phone calls that late at night are upsetting. This complaint is from Marcella Norton order #372202429. Please let someone who is in charge know about this, did not appreciate the calling time at all.

I guess they shouldn't have bothered calling you at all. Keep in mind some of the deliveries on the truck are from sales made on Sunday.

They really can't start calling till the trucks are loaded an they know that everything on the order was there. Once the truck is loaded they know in what order deliveries will be made. This is something they can't do first thing in the day. No matter what time calls are made someone will be upset.

You go to bed early and would prefer a call earlier in the day.

If you worked nights and slept during the day you wouldn't want a call during the day. Unfortunately you can't please everyone.

Hi, my name is Bob Earle ID# 02713 3422 078 On March 19th of this year I bought a garden shed from your Cornwall store and paid a delivery charge scheduled for April 28th. Yesterday (April 5th) I went to the store to buy material (approx. $100) and requested it be delivered with the garden shed, I was told they could not do that and I would have to pay another delivery charge for the material (80 bucks) Are you guys nuts, or you just want me to take my business elseware? Did you ever stop to think that the materials you wanted to add to the delivery are coming from a different source than the shed? Delivery trucks don't run free.

They have to pay for the truck, fuel, insurance, a driver, someone to schedule the delivery and load the truck. If the delivery has to come out on a different truck you need to pay the fee for the second truck, Believe it or not, deliveries are not a money making proposition for most stores.

Lowes in Houston, Texas - Where is my washer

My son-in-law purchased a washer for me on 3/30/2019. He put a wrong telephone# on the order when he purchased it. I spent almost 2 hours on the telephone yesterday (4/1/2019) trying to change that telephone # and find out when my washer was going to be delivered. When I called 800-810-6012, I was told that I needed to call the local delivery company and talk to them. When I called them, I was told that I needed to call the store where I purchased the washer. When I called them, I was told that I needed to call the delivery service at the 800#. I lost it, at that point, and the sales person was finally agreeable to help me. He called the 800# twice, with me on hold, and was hung up on. I still don't know where my washer is and when it will be delivered. My husband and I purchased a refrigerator from Lowe's, several years ago, and had a bad experience with the delivery service then. They broke a shelf inside the fridge, when delivering it and would not take responsibility for it and fix it. We ended up having to purchase a fridge elsewhere. Their delivery service is horrible!

I recently perchased a clearances fridge in perfect condition at Lowe’s. While strike one, I had to purchase it via the telephone the next day because no one would help me at the store. Over the phone the guy was amazing with his help! The Fridge would be here in two days they told me. Fast forward to delivery, the guys were polite... but they busted all the shelves in my fridge leaving glass shattered thruout the fridge along with big ol gouges!!! One on the face of my fridge and the rest thru out the inside of my fridge! I wanted to cry!!! When I talked to customer service, they said while they did not have to replace the shelves that they would. Granted we made the hour and a half drive to Lowe’s to get them! Whatever! I now have a scratched up alright fridge. Guess it at least keeps the food fresh right?

If their customer service is so great why did you have to make your purchase over the phone the next day rather than being able to make the purchase when you made the trip to their store? If their service was great they would take care of people when they took the time to come into the store and make a purchase rather than having to sit around on the phone talking to people who are buying products on the phone because the couldn't get helped when they were in the store.

Lowes - Horrible Delivery

Lowe's seems to contract out some or all of it's shipping. In my case this went to R&L delivery in Portland, OR. I can't even express how disorganized, unfriendly, and just generally unprofessional the whole experience is/was. I would suggest not putting any value in the delivery date suggested by the Lowe's website. If you are used to an Amazon or similar service this is not it!

I am a commercial customer, I spend thousands in this story for the last few months, I ordered kitchen cabinets on 12/2/2018, and order my appliances on the last day for the rebate on 12/5/2018, spend over $4,000.00, and there should be a $600 rebate, never receive the rebate application. Only 1/2 of my kitchen cabinets delivered on 12/28/18, and the I called and ask why, they said there is NO REASON, that was how it was scheduled. and the other delivered on 1/15/2019, we open the cabinets, 1/2 were damaged, we ask why, the delivery person said BECAUSE THEY ARE CHEAP. I depend the money for the delivery and what I got? I brought cheap cabinets from Lowes. I end up have to return 5 of the cabinets and try to patch up others, and go to other Lowes story to buy the replace damaged cabinets. My appliances should have arrived on 1/24/19, the delivery person called a little after 7am, I missed the call, the delivery didn't arrive, we scheduled for today, the delivery show up at my office, the billing address, I went in the Lowes and waited in front of the delivery manager Micho (I think that is his name) for 10 minutes, that he has been on the phone, then I ask if I can talk to him for 1 minute, he shake is head, so I left. This is the worst experience I ever in counter, the delivery department should have call the day before not 7 am in the morning, and the entire delivery department has the worst attitude, my project is delate and I worsted a lot of my time waiting. very unsatisfied customer.

Delivery window was 10:30-12:30 but came early at 9:45 and I was not home and threatened to leave after 5 minutes. I was able to rush back just in time. Stressful and will have to re-think buying appliances at Lowes
