Update. We finally got the correct door installed on September 30, 2019.

The special locks we had ordered to go with the door was not with the door, so Lowe’s gave us our money back for the locks.

I take it you are talking about a storm door. The screws you are talking about are the screws provided by the manufacturer to install the door.

Storm doors don't just blow off the house. Either someone opened the door in the wind and wasn't holding onto it or the door wasn't latched shut and was caught by the wind. Face it, they are like a big sail and will blow off the house if caught in a high wind.

Your problem is an act of God, not Lowes or their installers. You will also note that wind damage is not covered by the manufacturers warranty.

Brand new 8’ sliding glass door and frame, $2300. it has never worked right. Got put off for weeks by the salesman. Called the store manager who sent the original installer out.. he thought it was fine...of course he wouldn’t admit a mistake. A 4’ door only opens about a foot then hangs up. The screen doesn’t match up enough to lock it. Doesn’t sound right to me. Never buying anything major from Lowe’s again.

ordered a patio door and front door to be installed. order was placed sept. of 2018. this is june of 2019, and as of yet the front door has not been replaced. to tell my experience with the store in murrells inlet, s.c. would be pages and pages of wrong orders, damaged orders, wrong colors, sizes etc., and the list goes on. central production is a joke, corporate is a joke, management in this store is a joke. never again will I step foot in another lowes, and I will continue to tell my story everyday to anyone who will listen. don't walk from lowes, run, run, run.

Maybe the door installers have been having too much fun playing at the beach. I passed through Myrtle Beach, South Carolina once on one of my Greyhound misadventures and the road that the bus was traveling down had all these roads leading down to the beach and I could see all of the happy looking people going to and from there and it looked awesome! I should have gotten off of the bus and went and had fun at the beach and then continued on my Greyhound misadventure another day.

Went to have an entry door installed, tried to charge us 345 for the door, 389 install fee, 400 from the contractor, 117 to remove storm door and put it back on, 35 measurement and 16 lead test. The install fee was more than the friggin door, the guy came did the measurements and never did lead test, and, Lowe’s System doesn’t allow refunds on that. Not to mention it was a stock door. Why is Lowe’s charging 389? On top of that they committed fraud by not returning the $16 for the lead test not being completed.

Paid for measurement said two days. to get them out there had to call back 5 days later and finally got some one out took two days for them to confirm measurement paid for installation and door that was in stock that day said contractor would call to confirm installation date in two days after receiving paperwork , had to call back again five days later. said contractor was injured.would get me another contractor to do the job four weeks later still no door installed. or scheduled appointment going to call at the end of this week and cancel and go with someone that will give me a definite install date.
