Got a free measurement at Lowe’s shortly after Xmas. Was told 910 ft. Went to local carpet store and was quoted at 760 ft. My own measurement with 10% waste was 750 ft- for what it is worth. Beware, this I how Lowesmakes up for their “less expensive” prices.

Their measurement for my home was very close to what I had expected. When it came time for installation the installers reviewed the measurements and determined due to the cuts required they would run short in the stairs.

Lowes ordered the additional carpet required at their expense. Seems like an honest company to me.

Big talk, wonder how well you would be able to handle, keeping a well stocked and clean department. While also managing 30-50 active clients, who are usually pretty needy.

I'm sorry that you feel the ball has been dropped.

but from time to time that happens, and they best course of action is to be polite and patient.

a small store flooring specialist sells around 53K a month.

In reference to the 35$ Lowe's makes exactly 0.00$ on the measurement.

That goes straight to the installer who came out. By what it sounds like, the installer did come out and did measure, that job you paid for has been done.

Took a brand new mower back to lowes because the carburetor was plugged. Altaquip came back with an estimate for rebuilding the engine for 300 dollars and wanted to charge 73 dollars for the diagnosis. I flipped went back to lowes picked up the mower brought it home cleaned out the clog in the carb and it started first pull. FIRST PULL! Lowes extended warranty and altaquip are scam artists. I talked with the altascam manager because they forgot to put all the bolts back in and had to roll up my pants because it was getting so deep. The problem is the majority of people dont know they are getting taken and just pay the bill. I am probably 1 in 1000 who are mechanicly inclined and knew what was wrong before it went to altaquip. Dont trust Altaquip or Lowes, scam artists through and through.

You can't ask a retail employee what a "ballpark" estimate on an HVAC install would be. Lowe's does have a qualified person who could give you an exact estimate for FREE if you are willing to wait a few days.

Lowes Estimate Review

Lowes measured our patio slider at 70 inches rather than the standard 70.5. The estimate more than doubled because of the 1/2 inch. We went home and measured and watched videos to see how to measure and measured some more and we got standard 6 foot door-not custom 5.11 inches. Very disappointing!

You have it all wrong, originally it was on sale. After two weeks and five more days it was back to regular price, that's why the price jumped.

Happens all the time at my store. Customers are just not very bright and do not understand how sale prices work.

Since then Lowes called me back and said that the price had been refigured and it was going to be 450.64. we will now be using them.

Just wished they could have been upfront about all of the fees. Will continue to shop here due to them correcting the problem.

Sales person made the mistake and the installer is paying for it. That's how Lowes works.

Installers clean up their mess by taking a loss when it wasn't their fault. Lowes=Bullying

Lowes - Nothing time and time again

You should shop Lowes if you want special order after special order to be screwed up each and every time. Within a one month period I ordered the following and got NOTHING - CERTAINLY NOT SERVICE!!! Deck Stain - well... that did appear about one month after I ordered and paid for it. They kept calling me and telling me it was in, I would then go to the store 1/2 hour away and was told it was not in. They had really weird lame excuses for this one. I paid almost $200.00 for this stain and they charged when I ordered not when it shipped. Requested estimate for a kitchen better than a month after they came out and took estimates, etc. The whole kitchen would have been approximately $30,000.00, which was fine. When I did FINALLY receive the estimate I had already moved on. LOL Tile Samples - six weeks later no tile samples Flooring - well this whole thing was a joke from beginning to end - purchased elsewhere Shower add-on Again bought and paid for in order to order. Called about two weeks later and was told it was backordered. That is something you tell the customer when they order or at the very least call the customer and notify them, but oh no, I would never had known if I didn't call asking where it was. I own income properties and cannot fix things when Lowe's finally get's it act together. They have sunken to all new Lowe's especially in NH and Maine, maybe elsewhere but I don't know that. I did speak to their corporate escalation team, useless and clueless. I now order EVERYTHING online with great success from everywhere excluding Lowe's and HD. Amazon is a great replacement for these "I could care less" retailers. Lowe's may have inconvenienced me but they cost themselves well over $30,000.00. Their loss my gain.
