Have you paid them for the fence? If you haven't hear from them since you got the estimate it sounds like you haven't actually ordered and paid for the fence yet. They won't order or deliver materials till the fence is paid for.

Fencing installation protocol-HORRIBLE! | Lowes in Canton, Ohio

I just bought a house an needed a fence for my five dogs. I explained this to the Rep several times during his visit April 23, 2019. He measured, gave me the price, took my payment and when I asked when I could expect installation-the end of May was his reply. They give you three days to change your order or cancel. About a week after the visit, I received a mailing stating installation would be the week July 14th! Very upset with this date. Then about a week later I received a phone message stating my installation date is August 4th!!!! They take your money, supposedly they ordered the product and received it May 11th and sit on it for three months!!! I call BS!! I will never set foot in a Lowe’s store again. I wonder when I will actually get my fence.

A lot of the issue comes from the salesperson not being honest with the customer. They are there to sale and make a quota.

I am pretty sure the installers tell Lowe’s about their schedules. The customers go by what they are told via Lowe’s and it eventually looks bad towards the installer.

Installers do not get paid until the install has been done. Only Lowe’s gets paid.

That's why you go to a company that specializes in fences. Lowes orders the materials then hunts for a subcontractor to do the installation. As you found out they often have a hard time finding a contractor readily available to do the installation at the prices they are willing to pay.

Installed fence 8 months ago,fence has 2 gates,gate post are lose in the ground,gates will not close without pushing post to the side.They used VERY LITTLE concrete to set the post.The job was to be done in 30 days, took 3 months.

Lowes charged me for 42 lf of fencing, a 10ft drive gate, and a 4ft walk gate. When installed I received 28 lf of fencing, an 8ft drive gate, and a 4ft walk gate. I was clearly shorted the drive gate I paid for, but more importantly the 14 feet of fencing that was never delivered or installed. I have been back and forth with the sales department and they refuse to make it right. I have a clear contract that outlines this and physical proof that I did not receive what I initially paid for. If I could give them a 0 in ratings I would. They have no concern with customer satisfaction and therefore I will not be returning as a customer for any of my home improvement needs.

6month trying to get fence fix | Lowes

Lowes to install fence with 3 gates . Rep didn't know there was metal post to reinforce post even though there was a six foot sign saying what you need. When asked about it he was clueless. fence not right, after a lot of calls and going to store it is six month and the people who are to fix the fence are the same one that installed it. trying to cut corner , when I was paying to have work done they said post needed replaced, when their paying for it , it doesn't need replaced . You talk to everyone in the chain and nothing gets done so you have to keep calling or going up to the store. When they finally did come to do the fence they took down a lot of the fence and said they would be there the next day, no calls then calls to them no return call, call to them the next day finally answers the phone was told they might get to me , it is now on a Friday not here , I have a big dog can't use yard due to this. They took down the fence and then had to order the parts. Their doing another job so their trying to fit me in they have my money so who cares. if Lowes has anything to do with it RUN as fast as you can. Do it yourself even if you don't know how, you will do a better job and save on the headache and money. Fence still not done. A lot of why they can't do it or I didn't know and I'm sorry but still not getting anything done. Remember RUN as FAST as you can. Don't care about your yard throwing cigarettes butts all over the place.

Do not ever ever Use Lowe’s we had our fence installed, thought they were professionals . Not a all they take your money six weeks before they show up then do shoddy work ourfence sucks wavy poles loose, poles several differences in height . They called twice then when you tell Them there’s a problem they disappear

Lowe's did not hold up to Lowe's end of the contract...we contracted with Lowe's not a third party..the fence is still not finished going on four weeks.. customer service is really poor still waiting for the rest of our fence to be delivered...

Too many materials ordered not accurately measured | Lowes

Details
We went with Lowe’s to install our fence. Brian the guy that came out. Did not get an accurate measurement, just estimated on length I’m guessing because he ordered way too many materials. We are now stuck with because we tried calling, texting and emailing him and lowes with no answers for the abundance of left over materials laying in our back yard. The contracted company was great. Lowes is the one taking people’s money and ordering too many materials and charging too much. If you want a fence pick someone else.

Did you ever think of actually going into the store with your receipts and a list of the left over materials? You'll have a lot better luck standing in front of the store manager and explaining your situation than you will over the phone or e-mailing. Some things are best done In person.

I hired Lowe's to replace the wooden door of my dry way with a new vinyl. They came to finish the work on the scheduled date 11/20/18 the work was half done and very bad to see after a month still the doors do not have a latch, the wind has done some damage, and had to move my dog My brother's house escaped twice. I have communicated with the customer service four times and they only tell me that I should keep waiting. for the price that I already paid them, they should provide much better service but it seems that they have no intention of finishing my work, in the end they charged in advance. It is really very worrying that large and established companies like Lowe's are also committing to scam their clients with many chances that their scams go unpunished. Be very careful with Lowe's they do not respect their customers
