Lowes ruined my driveway

Lowes was told not to let delivery truck come down my driveway to deliver 1,000lbs of goods that should have been brought down on the forklift the truck was carrying. Ground was rain-soaked. Instead they drove a 30,000# 10-wheeler down the driveway and caused $18,000. damage. Destroyed my driveway and do not respond to correspondence.

Lowes - Rotten Delivery service

Ordered new fridge and on assigned delivery date we had original refrigerator emptied and removed. Cleaned out area for new fridge and all they had to do is bring item in and hook up water then go. •5 pm Delivery scheduled yesterday •5:45 pm Delivery people called to say they were backed up… •8:40 pm Got call saying delivery off till tomorrow, but we’ll be the first today by 8am •9:30 am called Lowes they checked and said trucks just left and we’re first. I asked why no call as agreed ½ hour prior. No response. I can’t get angry at the minimum wage delivery people. Based on the other complaints, it appears to be a failure on Lowes and Lowes alone.

Who was that carrier and how was it delivered? Do they claim it was delivered into your home or was it something someone like UPS left on your porch?

If it was something you had delivered to your porch have you even thought it could have been stolen off your porch? Porch theft of packages is frequently on the news and you may be looking at theft rather than fraud.

Lowes in Shakopee, Minnesota - Failed me as a customer

So I purchased a range and a power cord on June 4th. I currently don't have a working range, I contacted Lowes twice and was able to move up my delivery date. That was until today June 7th when I lost all respect for Lowes. I got informed through a email and a call from the store manager that infact the range wouldn't be delivered early however not until June 25th. As the store delivering only comes to my town on Tuesday and that is the next available opening. I also see then that the range I had ordered was now $100 less than I paid. There was two stores that had that range available that could have made that delivery. In fact the one they want to deliver the range out of is futher away than the closest Lowes that had the range also. I cancelled the order and now scrambling to figure out what to do without a range and how to get one quickly. It is really nice to have one to cook your meals on. My wife was vey upset and we both like the range. This unacceptable.

It's not like you live in a small town. There are plenty of places to get a range.

Other big box stores like Menards could have delivered a range they had in stock the next day. You also have access to appliance stores like Warners' Stellian with a good selection of appliances available for fast delivery.

And you could also rent a truck and take one home if you really need it right now. Get off the internet go to another store and get a range to make your wife happy.

This is where your comment shows ignorance. Home Depot doesn't keep any in stock, local appliance store Degroode doesn't keep any in stock, and Menards did have a couple in stock.

Now why would someone over pay for a range, rent a truck, and pay for gas? Warners' Stellian doesn't come to Mankato as I already checked. Also I would get off the internet which I have done when I was looking all over town searching and I do it myself except I had back surgery in 2017 and in 2018.

I am less than a year out from a spinal fusion. I am not Daddy Warbucks were I can just throw stupid money at problems to make them go away instead of trying to be fiscally responsible.

had Lowe's bring me a new ice box when workers where bring it in they damaged my walls and a $250,000 dinning room set offered me only $3,000 to cover damage that won't even cover shipping to get my dinning room Furniture fix much less the two walls this happened almost 1 year ago . Fixing to fill in our court I think one year is long enough need to get everything fixed they also had me get a cost on the dinning room set cost me $2,000

Bought a refrigerator from Lowe’s and they delivered it My husband told them to take the doors off the refrigerator it would make it easier to take up the stairs but no they wouldn’t I also told them three times be careful of my hardwood flooors Well when they were bring it up the stairs I looked down and they had gouged my front entry hall then at the top of the stairs they decided to take off the doors and gouged the landing no blanket under it also moved it into kitchen and gouged kitchen floor They also while lifting it up the stairs marked every stair nose coming up My whole house is engineered hardwood except for the bedrooms I have been trying to have them deal with this for a month Talked to manager three times the girl at the store that is supposed to be dealing with this three times and head office emailed three time I feel like I am getting the run around They completely ruined my floors and I am very particular about my floor WHAT A HASSEL I wish I had of gone to Home Depot at least they have professional delivery guys

If those are the issues that your home presents then you should be understanding that not only are you requiring someone to do something that you wouldn't do but you are also the cause of the increased difficulty strain on said persons. If it's not a straight in and out job then do it yourself because then when you nick every single step going up your stairs then you'd understand.

Where did you get the idea that Home Depots delivery service is any more professional than Lowes? I take it you haven't looked at the complaints about Deliveries from Home Depot on their board.

I've always preferred Lowe's to their competitors but after this experience never again. I purchased a washer/dryer and setup to have them delivered through their delivery service contractor. The night before they called around 8pm with a delivery time frame between 3-7 for the next day which was kinda weird. I mean talk about last minute. The next evening 630pm no one has showed up or called so I call and they explain the driver is running behind he'll be there by 730pm. Then 830pm rolls around once again no one has showed up or called so I call back a bit frustrated this time and they tell me sorry the driver can't work anymore hours we'll deliver it 2 days from now. Lol at first I thought this must be a joke I've never had customer service this bad. I wasted my Saturday night with my kids waiting around on this delivery, my old washer/dryer is disconnected sitting outside, and my door is off the hinges all to make the delivery easy for them. Then they conveniently wait until the store is closed so I can't call and give them a piece of my mind to tell me sorry we'll deliver it 2 days from now!

Lowes in Bridgeport, Connecticut - Another bad experience

I purchased a Lowe's a range online and according to their website, they were in stock. A few days later, Lowes called and said my range is scheduled to be delivered the next day. I took a day off at work to prepare for the new range to be delivered. Removed the old range and cleared a path to my kitchen. At 12:30ish, Lowes called and said they could not deliver my range since they did not have one in stock. They told me to call the store if I had any question. I called the store and they said it would take 3 weeks for them to order the range that I want. Told them that is not acceptable since I have already removed my range and it has already been hauled away. They then worked with me to get another range that they had in stock. I decided to just get the other range since it was the only range that was decent and I needed a range today. They promised it will be delivered after the call the same day. I received another call from Lowe’s around 9:30 pm and said they cannot make my delivery. They said it will be the next day. Next day is here and not a word from Lowe’s. Decided to call to check on the status. Lowes said they will be there within 1-2 hours. 1-2 hours went by and now it is close to 9PM. Lowes finally called and said their truck broke down. I told them to have the manager call me immediately which was around 9:30 pm. At 10PM I called Lowes since nobody called me back. Well Lowes store closes at 9PM so nobody was there to pick up the phone. At around 10:20, BJ from Lowes called and asked if they could deliver the range tomorrow. I cancelled the order and bought if from another business that would appreciate my business. The problem would not have existed if Lowes didn’t call the first time and said the range will be delivered the next day. They need to check their inventory before calling. I could have waited much longer since my old range was working fine. The old range was removed due to the call. Now I have no range. The next problem is Lowes promising they will deliver the one they had in stock. Lowes missed the delivery on both days. Thank you Lowes for making my buying experience extremely unpleasant. I lost time and money from work. Lost 2 days of waiting. Have no range to cook for family. Wasted money on takeout food. A grouchy family waiting for dinner since Lowes said my range will be delivered the next day. Glad I did not go with the bundle buy. Would have created a bigger fiscal.

Details
Showed up 4.5 hours late. Broke the refrigerator that was going from the houae to the garage. Put a 4" scratch in my front door. Told one guy about it. They got in the truck and left. No paperwork or anything. Also used VERY dirty gloves. This left black marks on the refrigerators and the front door that my wife had to clean off. Would not use them again!!!
