Lowes in Comstock Park, Michigan - Over charged for work not needed.

Lowes quoted us one price for an installed water heater, but when their sub-contractor came out, they put in things that were not needed for an additional $150+. I asked them not to put in, but they claimed it was needed. I told them that I had already talked to the building inspector who said it was not needed but because I could not remember the inspector's name down at Alpine Township Hall, they just kept putting in the un-needed materials, charged me for it, and also over charged for the hours. I should have kicked them out of my house and not allowed them to finish the job. Lowes would not even hear my complaint to them about their sub-contractor. The building inspector came out and again told me that these sub-contractors are putting in these extra materials and charging customers for them whether they are needed or not. The offending Lowes store is the one on Plainfield Ave, Grand Rapids, Mi.

bought carpet from Lowe's was bad they replaced it with the same kind that was also bad, so did an upgrade now that carpet has ridges 2" high which is either bad carpet or really bad installation and they will not stand behind it this time, will NEVER buy anything for them again carpet King stands behind their installation for LIFE. now for the experience they want at least 100 words, never buy from Lowe's, NEVER BUY FROM LOWES, NEVER BUY FROM LOWES ,NEVER BUY FROM LOWE'S DON'T waste your money buy from someone that will do the installation right and stand behind the installation

Lowes in Augusta, Georgia - Water heater installetion!

We was purchased water heater with installation. Customer service in store was very well. Person who helping for purchasing was very well. Installer absolutely difference story. He was delivered water heater and delay for 30 min. After observation utility space he was told me that he not able to installed water heater, because of different with diameter in exhausting pvc pipe does not match and we have to found different water heater with exhausting pvc pipe with diameter 2 inch and recommended founded different dealer or installer. I was found local plumber who provided equipment and installation with out any problem. He was very surprised on explanation first plumber and told me that any water heater with exhausting fan came with adapter for different diameter pvc pipes, but it was cost me little more. So be very careful what you wish for from Lawe's installer!

My dishwasher broke. Went to purchase new dishwasher at lowes on 8/ 9. Purchased and paid for installation to be installed on 8/12. No one showed up to install. A follow up call was made to lowes and the need was to wait and wait for follow up. We were told they could not install until sat. 8/15. A call was made to lowes at 1pm and i was told they should be here today. No one showed up but we received a call later in the day that the dishwasher could not be installed today. Unbelievable customer service. An absolute joke. I will be going back to lowes for a refund and purchase another dishwasher at another store.

just curious about the call 23 May 2008 I didn't answer the phone. They called and didn't leave a message. I found out it was a land line from North Carolina. Then, I googled the number and people are saying it was Lowes. I just had work done in my home but that was weeks ago and how can someone in NC possibly help me IF there were a problem 2,000 miles and weeks later? I just don't get that. Not even a message. Signed a contract in April..was told they were 2-3 weeks out...here we are at the end of July almost 4 months later..roof done poorly. They are coming to inspect it tomorrow. Sometimes they came to work sometimes they didn't show at all after telling us they were coming and asking us to leave the extension cord out for them. They were slobs. Nails everywhere..hundreds..like no tarps at all were put down. They kept telling us they were coming to start the siding. No show 3 days in a row. We finally told them to come get their equipment and siding and dumpster and to get out. We have been so patient and trust me this is the short version to this mess.the contractor lied to us over and over and I think we just kept getting bumped for bigger jobs. It was a total disappointment and I'm crushed. I wanted my house done so bad. Very bad customer service..find another company.

Lowes in Beaufort, North Carolina - Kobalt Lifetime hassle free warranty

Magnets fell out of my kobalt torpedo level while installing a tv wall mount. The employee in the tool department said it was no loner stocked but they could just swap it for another brand but the manager had to do it. Well I was told by the manager it was no loner carried and they could not find the item number in there system or on the tool so the manager went on ebay and found the level and made the statement he could always count on ebay and gave me 6.98 I am not sure if that was ebay price or the lowest price the level ever sold for but the cheapest level I could find in the store was 20. I was very nice to them I guess I should have dressed better... Lesson learned buy craftsmen or buy kobalt from ebay....

After two years I tried to replace my not running Kobalt lawnmower that has 5 five years Not so Hassle free Warranty. Finally, after a while of them checking to see if they could swap it for another one and not finding my receipt and could not find it under my credit card transaction in their system (I had my Receipt and credit card) It took a while and I had other appointments so I had to leave and go back later they said they would swap it.

But after all the trouble and time it took or Hassle, I decided to just return as it says you can in the warranty. After a while of checking they told me I can’t return it on a weekend because they could not get authorization from? Kobalt lawnmower manufacturer I think.

Driving around today running errands with a lawn mower rolling around and hoping when I go to my next stop nobody takes it.

Just more Hassle.

Not only has our oven taken 3 months to get to my house....(with the microwave still not here yet) lowes sent some Neanderthal over to my house and this is how he left the wiring....not only is it a fire hazard but being the owner of an electrical company I am extremely upset and amazed at the fact that someone could do this work and think it was acceptable....stop hiring non-licensed people to do your *** and this won't happen...if one of my employees did this I would can their ***...not only does lowes have horrible customer service in the store but it's even worse outside of it

Holy *** that is *** crazy! I'm a Flooring installer for Home Depot and have a few other accounts and with these accounts I have to have liability insurance for up to 2 million and workman's comp along with at least 3 yrs min exp criminal back ground check and references for installations going back to 3 yrs before I can even be a badged installer.

As do all sub contracting installers of any skilled trade. I know that in other fields such as in your case electrical. That the technician must have at least 2 yrs of completed schooling, 3 yrs on the job exp, and the same in insurance as I do.

So with that being said if it was the delivery guy delivering the oven that did that to your electrical, then sir you may have grounds for a lawsuit.

It is totally against policy for any delivery guys to make any kind of changes to a homeowners property. Meaning if it don't fit, or doesn't have the correct hook up or outlet for installation then they must stop immediately and let customer or home owner know immediately.

I know Home Depot has strict policies against that sort of thing. The same reason we have to carry our "own" insurance, have back ground checks, etc before we can even be badged as their installer and given work orders to enter any of their customers homes.

You say that you are an owner of an electric company, I notice that you did not say you were a contractor, so it does not mean that you are a licensed Master or journeyman electrician. If you did own your own contracting business, you would know all for the codes associated as you are liable for all that your Master does as he falls under your business umbrella.

So, you should have been paying attention and called the Master of the company providing service for your install. The employee that provided your service may not even be certified, you should know that. He only needs to work under the direction of a licensed Master as per code, who does not have to be at the work site. Though most jurisdictions require the worker to be at least journeyman qualified.

So, your failure is to not monitor the situation and allow him to leave without reviewing his work. I agree with the earlier comment below. As an owner, it would have been no cost for you to have even your master to come over and install it the correct way. This job is quite easy, a quick review of the codes and you could have installed it yourself.

Even with all of this said, Lowe's needs to be given reviews of the contractors that they hire. I do not work for Lowe's, but have used their contractors in the past.

They always are welcoming of contractor reviews and are willing to work with the customers, at least from what I found out. You should have contacted your local Lowe's first and tried to get the problem corrected.

If you own an electrical company like you say you do, why would you or one of your employees wired the outlet for the range? Seems odd that you would hire Lowes to do it.

The worst service in my whole life I'm still waiting for the installer to install my door Was removed by his assistant it is 400 promised to be here at 9 I changed my mind I don't remodel my kitchen with these people It was a complete frustration since begginer and still going on No door so ever The technician installer who knows Maybe he is coming Tido g a donkey The assistant taking a nap in his van and without doors Worse service in town Thanks God I didn't sign contract to remodel my kitchen I'll tell my neighbors who are waiting for my experience with lowes in Hialeah to change their doors Very frustrated

Nightmare started in October of 2014 and now June 2015 and waiting for 2 doors to be reinstalled which was totally unacceptable according to them..Did not measure door jam first time!!! But shoved them in anyway..Gaps all in doors and hubby had to put paper this winter to prevent cold air from coming in !

Installers are dumbest Ive ever seen..Imagine a big company like Lowes Home Improvement hiring such impotent people!!

They have been out twice with wrong door, not enough doors, can't they read an invoice?? Today, they called and truck broke down...nightmare continues!!!
