Lowes - Bad installer follow through

Knoxville Tennessee location. They measured twice and was off 50 sq ft then said they would remove flooring gave me a quote and then said they would not. I wasted two months oh sorry installers

Purchased a dryer. Delivered on a Sunday, but we needed an updated vent hose. We’re told to install new hose then he would come back to connect. Called Monday to set up install, was told would do it Tuesday. No call received the night before with a time so called. Given wrong day, scheduled for wednsday. Received automated call that they would be here between 3:30 and 5:30. Waited until 6:30 then called store, gave me delivery number. On hold forever, then told ordermwas cancelled by Lowe’s. You need to call store. Called, customer service, transferred to appliances to reschedule, disconnected 4 times! Will have to drive to store tomorrow to do in person. Ugh the incompetence!

2015 I were hired Lowe's Home Improvement installed siding, windows and gutter; It cost me $40,000. Last year I have observed that my ceiling was stain I have no clue what is happen now the ceiling paint peel and water drops on windows and floor so I have to go up attic to check where it leaks I have observed that is *** from nail full out cause by the installing guy were nail on roof to hold the scaffolding during they install siding and windows when they remove the scaffolding they forget caulk the roof so over time the shingle expanse that why it takes longer to see it leaks when I up the attic I had observed that other side of house has a nest of bird I did not why I had keep looking you get what I had find out the holes other side of the house when they had removed old siding it was tear off the install inside when they replaced the new siding but it is not go all the way up to the roof so they had leaved the holes they also not replace the soffit. I am a handy man usually I haven't call to complaint because my house is too high and the roof was a straight I have went up to the roof but barely to walk it is sliding. My neighbor told me that to call Lowes don't kill yourself so I have make a phone call to installation department on Monday 8/7/2017 one of the worker answer my phone call his name is David you know what is told me I am apologize the labor warranty only one year so my warranty is over nothing he can help me we talk back and forth about 5 minutes but the problem still the same so he had switched to his supervisor his name is Mike so the problem is not be solve he had said the same thing my apologize the labor warranty only one year; He keep repeat over and over like a record about 15 minutes. I have given him a last chance to solve my problem. He said that he can't do it I have said that this conversation is over and I hang up. In my situation a leaking will take over year to see it leaks and the missing siding no way I can see from the ground. My BIG QUESTION FOR LOWE'S HOME IMPROVEMENT why I have to hire you. You go out to hire another contractor we do not know them so we liable on Lowe's to behind your customer now I have stuck with one year labor warranty so you can hire the contractor do lousy job. Nothing can fall down and go bad in one year. I am so disappoint on Lowe's because I expect on Lowe's too much now on all my project never and ever go to Lowe's I will tell my all friend and my customer do not use installation from Lowe's.

If you started the kitchen in February it isn't out of the norm to still be working on it in July. Often there are 4-6 weeks of planning for the kitchen before ordering.

Then the cabinets would be ordered taking another 4-5 weeks and then some if holidays come into play which they more than likely did. Often the countertops are not fabricated until the cabinets are installed and an accurate measurement made. All too often a cabinet gets banged up in shipping and has to be re-ordered.

So yes the final touches may not be in place but my guess is that work has been progressing and you expected this to be a quick and easy project. Tearing out a kitchen and replacing the cabinet and countertops is a big project and shouldn't be expected to happen overnight.

I don't know where you got your degree in but 5 months for a kitchen is just plan BS. *** a whole house could be built in 6-7 months. Sounds like contractor did not do his homework and I would like to see his plans for this kitchen

Lowes in Wake Forest, North Carolina - Ultimate Customer "no service"

A kitchen re do has turned into the "Nightmare in Wake Forest". Home Improvement specialists who lie, just trying to bump services to increase commissions, to managers who just want you to go away. 5 Trips to the Lowes store in Wake Forest in 8 days to try and understand exactly why I'm paying $250.00 to install a sink. or why 100 - 1 x 2 kitchen tile (which has been sitting in my den for more than 2 weeks along with underfloor and grout and other assorted pieces of "stuff" is still there - floor measured out at 140 sq,ft. Or maybe its the contractor who was supposed to contact me today and let me know that the job MIGHT start on the 8th of November as opposed to the 25th of October or the store manger who was supposed to call me yesterday - we got cut off and I called back immediately, asked the operator to give her a message along with my phone number and still haven't heard back (Friday November 4th at 9:01 pm). Nobody at Lowes really gives a "*** " about the customer...they get the full cost of the job up front and then nothing happens. Have kept a full log of texts between myself and Lowes so I can validate my position Wouldn't buy a thumb tack from Lowes if my life depended on it. Don't expect to hear from Lowes management. However, social media including email blasts is a great way to let my friends and business associates know exactly what to expect when dealing with Lowes. And foolish me, thought no company's customer service could possibly be worse than Time Warner...you folks make them look like amateurs!

Did ya'll hear about lowes new business model ? well what little customer service they do have is now getting farmed out to a call center so you can't complain to a store manager .

not only that but they are taking all the local contractor jobs floors , heating and air ,door installs and giving the installs to a company out of state !

that will be great service . on top of that all the deliveries will also be farmed out leaving no one accountable for damages to the product or home .

Lowes in Terre Haute, Indiana - Faulty Installation

I had a custom patio door installed seven years ago by Lowes. I thought everything was ok with the door until a gust of wind pushed the door- frame and all- into my kitchen. I have video on my phone showing the door was never secured to the house! No nails or screws were holding the door in! The only thing holding the door in place was the trim on the exterior and the interior of the house. I went to Lowes to complain and was brushed off by the store manager. I sent in a sales receipt (which was very faded since they used disappearing ink in their registers), and even showed the store managers the video and they would not do anything about it. As a result, my floor (which I just had installed two years ago) around the door is damaged due to all of the water that poured in when the door blew in. Lowes would not do anything. The whole issue would have been avoided if the door had been properly installed. Will not purchase anything from Lowes ever again!

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. I can't even begin to describe my frustration. We ordered carpet that we were told would be in on March 21st. I call on. March 23rd only to be told everything from "no one knows where it is" to "storms in the south have delayed it" to "it's somewhere in Illinois, we just don't know where." All kinds of excuses and runaround. We ordered the carpet to time the install on a week we have off of work, and now it will be maybe installed the last day we have off - either at 8:00am or at 12:30 pm, but no one can say for sure. Dan at Lowes was initially helpful and convinced me not to cancel my order, but after I didn't hear from him about an install time (he told me the installer would be calling me and they did not) and called him back, he was short to the point of rude and most unhelpful. I cannot tell you what a frustrating experience this has been! Do NOT use Lowes for flooring installation... Unless you want blood pressure problems.

Lowes in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - Bathroom shower doors installation

I both a shower door and I'm having the worse time. It's taking to long to have it installed, on time. Bad customer service, I have ever had. They are giving me all kinds of excuses. Would never have them installe anything for me, in the future or would think twice before I would return to the store in North myrtle Beach. My washing machine broke down and we bought one from Lowes, Bluffton, SC that they said was "in stock" and scheduled a Monday morning installation. No show at noon and called for nearly an hour with no answer or hangups. Finally got some *** who had a problem with English saying "person at lunch!" Called back about 14:00 and was told that the item was damaged and no delivery today. Wasted a whole day waiting for them when they knew early on there would be no delivery and never had the courtesy to call, Finally called in the evening to say it was re-ordered and would take a week or so! SCREW THEM! Ordered from AJ Madison at lower price and sooner delivery!
