Lowes in Seneca, South Carolina - Get rid of Ridley!

I had the worst encounter with a manager from the Seneca SC store. He is the rudest non helpful associate/ manager that I have ever had to deal with. Home Depot now has a faithful customer for sure. I even spoke to another employee about him and apparently the employees feel the same way. He sits with his feet on the desk while they bust their fannies helping customers. Oh and wait until Lowes gets a sexual harassment lawsuit on them. He is a key ingredient. I will never shop there again!

First off, Lowe's doesn't hire "installers" for appliances. Those people are called "delivery" people.

But look at all the money you save by going to Lowe's? That's why you went there instead of a local appliance retailer isn't it?

You leave out a lot of detail. Exactly how did you loose $300 in frozen food?

What was the reason for the delay? Was it because the manufacturer didn't deliver the refrigerator to them when it was due?

If you need an appliance urgently make sure it is in stock at the location you are purchasing it from and ready for delivery. If it isn't there is always a chance for a delay in delivery.

Lowe's does not repair. If you're covered by a warranty you have to call the warranty phone number. The warranty center will send out a repair man.

Your comment that all managers give you a 50% discount is not true, you obviously found one that didn't and now you are crying about it. Having worked in management at another home center you would find the same thing from store to store in our chain.

I always looked ate the damage or defect and priced the product accordingly. There were other managers in the area that would sell these products for pennies on the dollar. At the end of the year their sales numbers were higher than mine, but I had a better bottom line. Yes, sales numbers are important but not nearly as important as making a profit on what you sell, after all the reason for being in business at all is to make money.

Yes, you as a customer love the discounts, but the stores giving excessive discounts are the stores that will cause a business to fail due to a lack of profitability. Unfortunately for you, you ran into one of the few managers that understand what it really means to run a store.
