The manager probably had much larger issues to contend with than a $10.00 return. I'm sure he was pissed that he had to deal with another cheap skate that bought a tool, used it once, and returned it for a refund instead of just keeping it.

This happens several times a day i am quite sure. And it would *** me off too!

Gotta say, Mitchell.. From your post, it sounds like you never pay full price or discounted price.

You always want a special deal.

If you have managed retail as you say, you know they make zero money on your loyal patronage. They would probably love it if you switch to another vendor.

There are 13 registers and 4self help registers -that were closed-so in reality only ONE cashier. I had one item I urgently needed and the patrons in front of me had carts of items so I waited and waited and waited.. I had no other choice because I really need this item. Advice to managers or hiring Personnel hire more people

Lowes - Unprofessional RTM at store #1064

Details
There have been many complaints with an RTM named Kiki at store #1064 in Columbia, SC. She is very rude and unprofessional towards customers. Complaints have been made to the assistant manager, manager, and corporate office to no avail. The complaints have come from unsatisfied customers, Lowe’s drivers, and their own employees. My advice, go to another Lowe’s store in the nearby area. My experience with the other Lowe’s has/is wonderful each time. They were/are very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional.

Customers don't know what an RTM is. You sound like an employee trying to get someone in trouble for personal reasons.

I’m not an employee there. Never have been.

Customers do know what an RTM is. I’m one of those customers. As far as “getting someone in trouble,” I stated her name as well as the other customers that have made their complaint to management and to the corporate office.

The problem was resolved after my post here. Thank you for your input and bringing attention to my post ;)

I think ASRHSRH is correct. RTM must be Lowes lingo for something and it would take an employee to know what it is. You are just out to cause trouble.

Lack of education must be a struggle. I don’t need to be employed there to know the acronym.

Contact the receiving department at any Lowe’s or look up the position online. Could it be that you’re a friend or related to the RTM? Could it be that you’re her? This is an issue that has gone unresolved for a few years, until now :) As I’ve stated, I have never worked there but you’re more than welcome to seek me out.

We purchased a range on 12/17/17 with the help of Pat. He was very helpful and courteous. He told us we had to pay for it at any cashier. When we went to check out there was a line of 20 people waiting at ONE (1) cashier open! Those lucky enough to check out themselves were fine but those who HAD to check out with a cashier were irritated. Where was all the help on a busy Sunday morning? Finally, another cashier came in but we were 2nd in lube by then and it didn't matter. The manager was no where to be found.

Store personnel placed a special order for us. They had us enter our phone number and e-mail address so they could contact us when the order came in. Not sure why they bothered because three days after it arrived (as documented on the box) I had to make two calls to inquire if the order was in. To add to my disappointment, I called the store manager to let her know how they failed us by not communicating with us as a way to give her an opportunity to improve the quality of her store's customer service. She could only tell me she could not check on anything because the order was already picked up. She totally missed my point. I was hoping for a simple "thank you for the feedback, we appreciate you taking the time to let us know where we can improve." Our relationship with Lowes is destined to be very short.

they are trained to NOT contact people when special orders come in! WHY?

Because it forces you to come in to the store more often, increasing the probability that you will BUY more! It is a tactic used by ALL the major box stores! Also, it decreases the amount of man hours needed to run the store!

If they call everyone who has ordered from them, it would take an employee several hours every day. Time which is supposedly better spent stocking shelves and putting up signage.

I submitted a purchase yesterday online for Maytag washer. The online form said I would receive a reply back the next day. My wife called the next morning to find a status of my request. The delivery manager told my wife that it was not on the manifest, but reluctantly placed it on the truck. He was spoke to my wife with complete disregard for trying to please her. An hour later he called me stating that the washer had a dent in the front and another dent in the back, asking if I would take it in that condition. How could anyone with proper customer interaction ask them if they would take damaged goods. I asked him to direct me to the customer care office and he said he doesn't know the number and they will tell me the same thing. I will never shop at the Lowe's located in Charles County Maryland.

It's obvious they only had one in stock. Some people would take the dented one if they really needed one rather than waiting for a new one to arrive.

It seems like he did the proper thing to me. He had 3 choices. One was to do what he did and call and ask if you would take a machine that was dented, he could have just put it on the truck and let you find out when it arrived or he could have decided you wouldn't want it, not send it and not call you.

Most people would want the call you got. Are you one of those people that don't understand that the don't build the washers in the back of the store?

Vincennes Indiana What a sorry store. It was full of happy hard working employees a year ago. Well that's all over. This so called store manager Martin Wagner has destroyed the entire staff. I have heard & witnessed horror stories from longtime & former employees. With all I've personally witnessed & add on employee abuses, this so called manager continues to VIOLATE FEDERAL LABOR LAW & EXTREME VIOLATION OF EMPLOYEE CIVIL RIGHTS. Evidently HOME CORPORATE OFFICES are not aware of his extreme abuse of power. I've watched many friends & friends children's schedules disappear from one day to the next. Schedules changed in mid shift. Longtime loyal employees lives being flipped just because he thinks he can. Guess what I'm going to encourage every single person I know to file a lawsuit or join a class action against this out of control Nazi. Several that have experienced a medical issue have been treated as if they are at fault, then their schedule is modified to the point of nonexistence or to the point they quit. Due to this one horrible manager I will propose a full on boycott of this store , there are plenty of other stores to purchase the exact same products at just steps away. This is a very sad situation that has been allowed to happen. Shame on you. Shame on you for allowing this loose canon reek havoc on good people & a loyal community. 3 assist store managers have quit since this man has arrived. Once a store full of happy loyal employees that loved their job, loved the company. To despising it. Something is seriously wrong. My suggestion is a full investigation. And speaking with current & past employees without Martin's threatening influence hanging in the air. Regards An Extremely Angry & Disappointed Former Customer. AGAIN YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

Worked at Lowes in Hampton Virginia. Many racists people at this store. I was treated very due to race.
