We purchased an Extended Warranty for Maytag Refrigerator in 2012. Fridge is now (2015) leaking into bottom of freezer compartment, sheets of ice forming.
We called on August 6th, 2015 and Lowes said they could not send anyone until September 3rd - when we are scheduled to be on vacation. Almost ONE MONTH lag time from call to appointment. We are afraid to leave the refrigerator on while we are gone because it may leak onto floor and cause damage - we will be out of town for about 3 weeks. We called again on August 18th - Lowe's is still unable to send anyone sooner than Sept.
3rd. We are not covered to hire another company to fix the fridge.
Why would anyone buy this obviously useless Extended Warranty? Why would anyone shop at Lowe's with this kind of service?
This person wrote the review because of warranty issue of maytag refrigerator from Lowes. Reviewer claimed that he or she wants Lowes to "send a technician to fix the refrigerator within 72 hours".
The most disappointing in user's experience was useless extended warranty. The author asks this business to immediately contact him/ her to briefly discuss his/ her negative experience with the company.
