Lowes not paying large rebates on time

Details
Samsung 10% appliance rebate was approved for over $400 11 weeks ago and they still haven't sent out the VISA prepaid card. They claim that the rebate was so popular that they are running behind on sending them out but I wonder if the fact that Sept is the end of the fiscal year has anything to do with it. I've called once a week for the last 3 weeks and every time it's the same response, "you should get it by the end of the week".

File a complaint with the FTC. the FTC has fined companies for playing games with rebates. FTC.gov/complaint

Lowes 11% Rebate Ripoff

Details
I bought a $1500 riding mower and was told to submit the rebate form for a rebate which I did. I then received a letter saying the receipt did not indicate a qualifying offer and to resubmit which i did. A week later I received another letter saying the receipt did not indicate a qualifying offer so I called customer care and they said I needed to include a copy of the receipt which I did for both submissions. after I received the second letter I just gave up. I think that is what they wanted.

Lowes in Pikeville, Kentucky - Garbage disposal

Details
After buying 3 disposals in less than a year, i Upgraded to the best they had. They would no longer replace the old ones. The new one lasted exactly 1 month and they refused to repair or replace it because they said it was obviously installed incorrectly because I was having so much trouble. Tell me how the *** do you install a garbage disposal incorrectly. My daughters whirlpool washer broke down and after tries at fixing it, lowes told their own repair man they would no longer pay for his services, and they would not send another repair man, so our extended warranty is worthless. LOWES IS WORTHLESS. I will NEVER step foot in any of their stores again. I can afford to go into mom and pop stores where I can get personalized service.

Something sounds odd if you have gone through 4 disposers within a year. Are they being overloaded?

Run without water? My guess is that it is being abused rather than their being defective units.

Lowes in Capital, Illinois - Lowe’s rebates are a scam

Should have received $40 and $10 gift cards from sherwin williams paint rebate said that it couldn’t verify my purchase even though I entered the receipt information correctly. Also unrelated but I have purchased a brand new riding mower that when they sent did not run right at all. They replaced with another one that also does not run right. Needless to say I will no longer be shopping at Lowe’s.

Did you ever think that there might be user error if 2 mowers don't run right? Did you put oil in them?

Are you using fresh fuel rather than gas that has been sitting around for a long time? Are you using the choke properly?

Buying a refrigerator. Employee told us we could used a competitor coupon. Decided to also open an account for the additional 5% when you use their credit card. Unlike Sears they wouldn’t “stack” the discounts. Even asked a store manager. So for a lousy $40 they gave up a sale on a refrigerator!! Never buy anything else from Lowes!!

Another consumer running off to the corner to cry and pout because they didn't want to follow the stores policy. Are you going to hold your breath until you turn blue as well?

After the time you spent shopping around and decided on Lowes and going through the steps you did, you are going to start all over again for $40. Doesn't make you sound any smarter than you think the store is.

Optics continue to be NOT GOOD on this issue: About July 12, 2018 we contacted Lowes Executive services, Public Relations, Investor Relations and the new President's admin. to explained what was expected - again.

Still waiting for the appropriate thing to be done, which is --- to send us a Visa card (not for Lowes) in the amount of $50.00 for the continuing inconvenience and disruption of our lives, due to not receiving a simple rebate (of over $314.00) since January 2018.

And, not being treated with the respect, we as Investors and first time customers deserve. While Lowes is now courting the Pro market, private customers like us who support brick and mortar locations are still waiting for Lowes to do the right thing.

Purchased a Bosch dishwasher January 2018 which came with a manufacturer rebate in the form of a Visa card for the installation charge of $314.00. The rebate was submitted by the store but when it was not received in 2 months, we followed up with the sales person, then department managers and store managers. When no progress was made, contacted Lowes Executive Services, outgoing President, Investor Relations and Public Relations, who kicked the issue back to Executive Services. During this 5 month journey, over 25 telephone calls have been made, over 15 emails have been sent. And, despite Lowes being notified that stalling any longer would result in the Media, BBB and DCF being notified and at this point - we were entitled to another $50.00 Visa card for ongoing inconvenience, Executive Services (a misnomer) continues to give excuse after excuse, which does not resolve this issue. Today, Executive Services asked for more time to investigate why the Visa card (they say) was sent over a month ago by USPS was not received by us. So, Lowes now stands for: Lousy Organization Without Essential Services.

Lowes in Harper Woods, Michigan - Rebate Scam

Purchased a new kitchen at almost $20K. Was told that we needed to make the purchase that day to qualify for a 10% gift card which would be issued in 2-4 weeks, prior to the install. After waiting for 3 weeks, I called the Rebate Center to be told 6-8 weeks. I complained and stated I had documentation stating otherwise. After speaking to Omar, a supervisor, my status went from pending to non-compliant, there reason, I used invoice numbers from the same receipt and that they needed an actual copy of the 5 page long receipt. I've sent it to them but they have yet to receive the fax and state that my time is now 10-12 weeks before, if I ever do, receive the rebate. They could not provide a single ounce of reason for why this was delayed. Corporate has been useless. My sales person does not return my calls and seems to always be out. My corporate coordinator is also unavailable. We made this purchase due to the rebate promised as it was going to be used to cover expenses prior to the install. Lowe's does not care about customer service, and the only thing offered was for me to cancel the order, losing a good chunk of money I already paid. Scam, scam, scam. Avoid Lowes at all cost. You have been warned!

I was also scammed by Lowe's in a similar manner. I purchased three large appliances based on a promise of $100 rebate.

I submitted the rebate form and proper documentation. Trying to get Lowe's to honor the rebate has been a Kafka-esque nightmare.

I purchased an LG kitchen appliance bundle from Lowe's in July. I was told I would get a $200 Lowe's gift card and also a rebate from LG.

When I was checking out, the salesperson gave me a "rebate" receipt in addition to my normal receipt. She said I could apply for my Lowe's gift card right away, but would have to wait until I received my appliances before I could submit the LG rebate (LG requires the appliance serial numbers). I applied for the Lowe's gift card online and it went smoothly. I received an email containing the gift card within a week.

Today I worked on my LG rebate and before sending it in, I read in very small print that my appliance purchase qualified for the rebate, but because I bought it at Lowe's, Lowe's would take care of the rebate at time of purchase. Today I talked to LG rebate people, Lowe's rebate people and an appliance salesperson from Lowe's. I have spent several hours on this only to find that I will not get the LG rebate as promised. LG said Lowe's should take care of it; Lowe's said they only process their own rebates and had no idea what I was talking about; the salesperson said they didn't give them good information on rebates and he could never keep them straight.

He had no idea what I was talking about. If you are buying appliances from Lowe's expecting rebates, be sure to check the small print. Oh, and I should mention that on the day of delivery, they couldn't find my microwave.

It was there the day before, but apparently it was sold or given to another person with their delivery, so it will be another month before I receive my microwave. Disappointing mess...

after many calls to the rebate center and tracking down receipts to the various stores from which the applianc after many hours of sending lowes copys of receipts and hours spent on the phone i still have not received my rebate for appliances purchased over the internet on black fri in 2017. i will never again purchase anything from lowes on their web site as it was and is a nightmare.they charged me for two refrigerators.which took months to get removed from my bill.I'm sure that the last person I spoke with will not help me either, so I will will just have to give it up,as dealing with lowes is a losing cause.

6//4/2018 Lowe's' is clearly heading into a new I don't care about the customer attitude. Calling Corporate Customer Care is useless lip service to no service approach.

At this time our Samsung front loader washer is protected under their 5 yr extended warranty. Did I say protected in a few more days it will be 1 month in a broken unable to use state.

The only customer justice is to inform the public and cease to give Lowe's any new business online or in there stores.Good luck with your Lowe's problems as they are all similar in nature. No Customer Service !

1.) I purchased Energizer batteries for $15.14 since there was a five dollar rebate displayed in the packaging. Coupon reads as follows: "Get a $5 Lowes gift card by mail with your $15 Energizer battery purchase". That is all you can see from the packaging view. Once you buy the batteries and open the packaging, they tell you that this offer is before taxes. Had I known this purchase did not qualify, I would not have made it. Slippery come-on rebate advertising! 2.) Even if the purchase was $15 dollars before taxes, there is no department number on the register receipt which means a wait for customer service to issue one for you. They make a rebate hard to process on line for batteries. I noticed a lot of unhappy customer reviews for Lowes. I will not purchase an item just for a Lowes rebate again.

Worst Lowes ever!

Lowes in Martinsburg WV is the worst ever. No one will help customers, when asked they just tell you they don't know! I wanted to know about paint rebate and they knew nothing. I had to go online to research it. Then, at the checkout, the lady asked the customer before me and after me if they wanted to do the rebate for the paint online or by mail. I was never asked! Then, went out of store and saw a group of employees standing around and cussing about another employee! Worst store ever!!
