LOWES PROTECTION PLAN

On 6-16-18 I purchased the 2 year replacement plan on a Fan. The fan malfunctioned on 6-30-19. I called the Lowes replacement plan department and was denied because the fan was still covered by the manufacturers warranty. I learned that the manufacturers warranty is for 2 yrs and the Lowes plan won't cover it during that period. So Lowes sold me a replacement plan for $16 that was completely worthless. It expires on the same day as the manufacturers. What a SCAM

I am very surprised at the number of seemingly very smart people who always purchase the extended warranty plan. Every consumer publication advises against buying them and says that they are almost always a bad idea. The odds of the extended warranty being a good deal are about the same as you winning the Publishers Clearing House Super Prize.

You were given somewhat incorrect info. on the website it clearly states the replacement plans begin after the manufacturer warranty. So like the other commenter posted, you'll get the 1st warranty from the manufacturer then the lowes replacement plan

Take a look at you plan again. Most of these plans start the day the manufactures warranty ends so the 2 years would turn your total protection into 4 years.

Ordered tile from Oakland Park Florida store. Order was never placed found out about it when I went to pick it up after being notified it was in. Never again if I can't carry it out I wont buy it there. Just like Home Depot. Lowes is chaotic hot mess. If it cant be carried out don't waste your time. Go to Floor and Decor. Replacement tile being delivered tomorrow.

Lowes in San Jose, California - Lowe's GE Dishwasher - Received Damaged

I ordered a new GE Dishwasher and it was received damaged. I called Lowe's about it and they told me they would get a new replacement one out to me and pickup the damaged one the next day. Lowe's never showed the next day. I called and they didn't know what I was talking about because the pickup and replacement was never put into their system. Now I've got to wait another week minimum for the replacement, and another day for them to pick up the damaged unit. I also had to pay a second time for their lack of responsibility for their duty to get it to me right on the first time. It's not over yet. My suggestion is, Don't buy from Lowe's.

Lowes in La Habra, California - Horrendous customer service.

Assistant store manager Jessica is the reason I don't like going to Lowes. She is a shining example of horrible customer service. Ironically, the people working for her were decent. Slow to help customers...but decent on the whole. Here's my latest Lowe's horror story: My wife and I had saved for years to build our dream kitchen. I ordered a $600 window at Lowe's, among a few other items, because they had a sale going. It arrived in 2 weeks as promised, and I called to schedule a pickup. When I arrived I waited 20 minutes for them to find my window (not terrible, but not the "immediate pickup" I was promised on the phone). Well come to find out the window was damaged. I pointed that out to Assistant Manager Jessica along with telling her that my install was planned for 2 days from now and her response was, "Well you shouldn't have scheduled an install so close to pickup of the window." Excuse me? Was I supposed to anticipate that Lowe's was going to screw up and damage my window or something? She offered to replace the window or give us 10% off. When I said I wasn't happy with the 10% off idea she told me, "I wasn't done talking yet" in the most condescending tone I have ever heard used toward an adult, and shook her head like she was talking to a 5 year old child. She pointed out that I already got 10% off the window when I purchased it. Of course I got 10% off when I purchased it! It was on sale! That's why I bought it at Lowe's in the first place! Believe me, if it were on sale anywhere else I would have gone there instead. I demanded a replacement window, which they agreed to. Then I continued to wait another 43 minutes for them to find the door I already scheduled a pickup for. They had this door in stock as a regular item and it took them 43 minutes to get it to the front of the store! When I told Assistant Manager Jessica that I was *** pissed" with their delays, poor customer service, damaged window, and her condescending attitude she told me that she didn't appreciate my language and walked away. I never raised my voice and used a single expletive to describe my current demeanor (seriously, check the tape) after taking delivery of a broken window, waiting over an hour for them to give me an in-stock door I already paid for, and tolerating her attitude and that's how she's going to end it? I thought I should have been thanked for keeping such calm attitude. Apparently not. Thanks Lowe's for delivering quality customer service once again.

Lowes not honoring extended warranty

We purchased a Samsung washer and dryer set from Lowe's with the extended warranty. Just after the Manufacturers warranty expired the washer started quitting mid cycle and displaying an error message. Lowe's has sent a repair person to replace the same part 4 times. Yesterday, after after the fourth replacement the unit did the same thing while the repairman was there. He said he "could not fix it". The warranty contract states that the LEMON policy will replace a unit after the forth attempt to fix it. While on the phone to the Warranty department, they started claiming that we had to wait 30 days after the last repair before they would consider a replacement but that they can deem to continue to try to fix it every 30 days. Not at all what is written in my contract. When I read them my contract verbatim, they claim that they have "their own policies". A supervisor then told me that if I continued to complain they would cancel the warranty and I would have to fight for a refund of that money and not get any repairs done. Asked for a copy of the language that says anything about the 30 days wait or their right to cancel our contract, she refused to speak with me after that. I asked for a contact in their legal department and she told me to look up the CEO and to write him. I believe Lowe's is running a scam operation, trying to weasel out of honoring their contract and training their call centers to increase profits by not honoring their contract. I will not be discouraged and intend to spend thousands if necessary to sue and drive business away from them. Integrity and honor are the true qualities to a business and it's people - Lowe's has neither! If you work for Lowe's, I'm, sorry for you but you are only as strong as your weakest link. The call center people should be ashamed of their participation in this scam. I suggest you not purchase Lowe's Extended Warranties for any product.

After contacting the corporate number the following day the store manager contacted me. He indicated to me that the shift manager was incorrec.

We were given a refund.

It should have never required this much effort for their customer. Had the manager even read his own receipt he would have known he was wrong.

Purchased a drill and impact driver Set from Lowe's. I purchased a replacement plan at the same time. 60 days after the purchase the drill broke. I took it back to get the replacement had my receipt in hand only to learn that the Lowe's employee did not register the replacement plan. The drill was replaced because it was within the 90 days of purchase. I was told that the previously purchased protection plan had to be repurchased because they did not transfer. The original replacement plan cost was just given to Lowe's because they never registered and thus I received nothing in return for that $20. The attitude of the staff was that there was just nothing they could do about it. Lowes should have refunded my original $20 because I never received anything for it but they didnt agree. In my opinion one should never buy power tools from Lowes or one should never purchase protection plans from Lowe's. Buyer beware.

I brought a push mower last year took out the 2 year replacement plan in less than a month I use it twice in space about 12 feet and it stop working took it back to the store they said it was stil under manufacture warrantee and they can't replace it ,so they fixed it well it's till gave trouble my son left it in the container I did not know it was not working so I took it back this week after the year was up and still he'll to replace it ,anyway I have made my decision I don't care if Home Depot charge me twice the price I won't buy anything like that in lowes ever again because I am not prepared to be rip of anymore from your store,I work hard for my money and I don't think I want to throw it down the drain,replacement warrantee is getting a mother one not a lot of abuse.thanking u in advance R.Bahmer.618-979-2331
