Worst customer service | Lowes in Trenton, New Jersey

I ordered a yard cart that was on sale online . Said there was 1 at a local store for pickup .got conformation email for the order 2hours i receive a call from the local store in mt holly nj saying they dont have the yard cart and were cancelling the order when i called the customer service number the said they could have one shipped to me with a shipping fee of twice the price of the cart .ask if they could ship it to the store and i could pick it up there they said no its a clearence item ......but the were willing to ship it to me at twice the price .....what a scam!!!!!!!!!

When I place an order, I expect an update when the order is expected to ship/arrive. Lowes NEVER updates customers. I have had to call on every single purchase I've made, carpet, wood floor, stove, refrigerator, stove hood/fan. NEVER does Lowes send update nor do they update their website to show tracking or shipping information. They have the WORST Customer Service of any retail store I've ever dealt with. As a matter of fact, I've resorted to driving to carpet manufacturers in Dalton, GA to avoid buying floor covering from Lowes ever again. I've spent thousands (approximately $10,000+ with Lowes over the past 6 months) and never received so much as a Thank you for your business email. Lowes is off my radar on all future purchases.

Lowe’s online store is awful. | Lowes

I decided to buy two 50 dollar gift certificates for a couple of upcoming birthdays. Normally, I would have gotten them from our local Lowe’s, but I was feeling lazy and felt like I had plenty of time to buy them online, so that’s what I did. On 7/8/18, I placed the order. I should have looked closely at the shipping information because apparently, in the past, my husband or I had typed our home address in with the last digit being off by one. I take full responsibility for that part of the issue. While it was never a problem before for any other order, it began a series of unfortunate events. The cards were shipped on the 10th. Money was taken from my bank account on the 11th. I followed the shipment with the tracking information given and saw they should have been delivered on the 12th, but instead they were headed back to Lowe’s in Minnesota. I called Lowe’s customer service on the 12th. The woman who helped me seemed efficient. I explained the situation, and she said that she would change the address in the computer, and would tag the order so that when the cards arrived back at Lowe’s, they could be sent to me. Well, as of the 19th, I had 0 communication from Lowe’s, so I called again. This time I spent close to 40 minutes on the phone, mostly on hold, only to be told that I would have to cancel the order and reorder it. Okay, why did I have to call them to find this out? And why was my money not refunded? I told the woman to cancel the order and credit my account. That was just after 9 a.m. today. It’s almost 9 p.m., and I don’t see any signs of it being in my bank account. I know I’m going to have to call again which is irritating. I use Amazon, Walmart, and Target all of the time and never have issues with orders, returns, etc. If Lowe’s wants to play with the big boys and stay in the game, they need to be more efficient and user friendly. Because this is now the second time I’ve ordered something and they’ve failed to communicate information to me, I will no longer use them for online purchases.

When you make a purchase on a credit card it shows up as a hold on your funds right away and will usually post to your account several days later. Refunds don't show up until they post which as a purchase doesn't happen for several days.

Did they give you a refund receipt? They process refunds instantly, You should check with your bank, they're the ones who need to process it into your account.

This Friday 25 May 2018 I purchased a grill from Lowe’s online and selected next day delivery, within minutes I received confirmation that my product would be delivered and assembled the same day 25 May in the afternoon. 3 hours later as I’m driving home I received a phone call from their delivery department saying that the product couldn’t be delivered until Rhe following Tuesday. This was purchased online from the Lowe’s in Middletown, DE. Because of my disappointment with the poor customer service I told the individual on the phone to cancel my order. I then drove to the Lowe’s in Bear, De and specifically asked the customer service rep if they were able to deliver and assemble the next day or at least by Sunday, she checked the system and assured me that if I purchased the grill and now I wanted to add outdoor furniture to the purchase they’d be delivered and assembled by Sun 27 May 2018. After selecting my preferred grill and our door furniture I checked out and left with the hopes that my purchases would arrive at my home by Sunday. On Saturday around 12pm I received a call from the delivery department ar Lowe’s in Bear, De and was told that my items could not be delivered because their assembly guy didn’t come to work today. I understand things happen, but I believe that’s poor management. I also canceled that order. I’ve used Lowe’s in the past for numerous items in my home and I must say I’m veey disappointed with the service I received this weekend. The first one took a month to arrive at the local shipping office. So damaged the would not deliver it. A new replacement ordered april 27th and was told it would be delivered this week. They dont even know where it is. Summer will be over before it comes. The delivery co. Same Day shipping is the worst. Called many times over the 2 months and they dont callback like they promise. In all my years of ordering online this is by far the worst fiasco i have ever had. No more Lowes on line for me!

After placing an order on line on Tuesday of last week I never received a phone call to confirm delivery of the lawnmower and equipment. When I called the one 800 number Lowes had no record of my online order even though I had a confirmation and an order number. After over an hour on the phone they said that the order got hung up in processing it would need to be canceled and replaced. The next day I replaced the order, Once again I had to call the one 800 number to get my discount reapplied since the initial discount had been used on the previously canceled order. I was told I would receive a phone call within a couple of days to arrange for delivery. Four days later I still did not receive a phone call. Today I called the one 800 number again after being on the phone for over an hour they said that they were trying to arrange delivery for the products and that the stores do not have the proper inventory so they’re on able to deliver. After an hour goes by I was told that everything is all set and I should expect delivery tomorrow. I half-hour later I received a call from my local Lowes and the manager said they are not able to fill the order because they do not have the inventory. She suggested I cancel the order again and replace it at a different location. So I called the one 800 number for the fifth time and after being on hold for a half hour I was told that they would sort it out and call me back. I’m still waiting for a callback I will Order online at Lowe’s again. This is been the worst experience of my life trying to place an order that should be something simple and convenient.

Same experience. These people don't have two brain cells to rub together.The only difference is that my disaster scenario involved them charging my card 11 times for one order, maxing out my card, and causing my bank to call me incessantly while I'm at work to ask me if these charges are valid.Beyond that, the order was supposed to be delivered on Thursday...

then Friday...

now it's Saturday morning and they can't finalize the order because they maxed out my card yesterday and the card was stopped for fraud activity - these bastards had the audacity to ask me for another card and told me that my order wouldn't be delivered until Saturday evening. The brain trust at Lowe's must have not understood the previous 724 times I told them that I needed the order on Saturday morning to complete a customer's job.Typically, money is exchanged for goods and services; in this scenario, it was exchanged for broken promises, frustrations, idiocy, and 4 hours of my life spent dealing with insipid customer service that I'll never get back.Call it a broad generalization if you must, but every single person at Lowe's is 100%, pure, unadulterated, garbage.

Why does Pissed consumer allow these short text message complaints? They require you type 50 words to respond.

The complaints should be required to provide some basic information as to what caused the problem in the first place. This person probably ordered a product made in another country that just takes a lot of time to get here for all we know.

Terrible customer service! In November I ordered a washer and dryer set that was to be delivered in January. Upon the delivery date, Lowes sent me 3 defected items: a washer, dryer and refrigerator all which had several dents in them. I decided to keep the fridge and send back the washer and dryer because the dents were all over the machines and completely unacceptable. I was told by Lowes that I wouldn't be able to receive a replacement washer and dryer for another 2 months and that they would not be able to service me with a loaner set in the meantime. After A LOT of effort, I got corporate to send me a loaner set while I waited on my replacement washer and dryer set. Today, 2 months later, Lowes sent me ANOTHER washer and dryer set that is defected - full of dents, scratches and marks as if I bought it from a dent and scratch store. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I have spent good, hard-earned money on my appliances and I have yet to be able to use them. The Lowes department store and the corporate office have been careless and apathetic, at best. As a first time customer, this will definitely be my last time. It's a slap in the face that Lowes finds it acceptable to send defective products to customers. Absolutely ridiculous. You even have to send a special request that you want you appliances still in the box upon delivery. That should be a given! Lowes has definitely ruined my experience with them and I have every intention on spreading the word to other potential appliance purchasers in the market.
