New ReviewerHelping a friend get a stove for rental his tenant has something come up so we couldnt get stove put in kitchen till the following week and when we hocked it up only burners worked oven did nothing back panel did nothing so we found a used stove put in temporarily and it worked just fine he tryed to take stove back and lowes told him they couldnt do anything cause it was longer than 48hrs even though it had just been pulled from box they told him hed have to take it up with wirlpool or get a return number from them how in the *** do you sell something that cost 700 plus and then wash your hands off it and basically tell the customer not your pig not your farm when your the ones who sold it? I will never buy anything like that from lowes again because I wouldnt want to risk getting stuck with a 700 plus dollar stove that dosent work will gladly make the 30 minute drive to go to a home depo or manards
User's recommendation: Don’t go to lowes make the drive to go somewhere else mount Vernon lowes has no interest in helping its customers.
Monetary Loss: $800.
Preferred solution: I’d like you to contact Levi Tomlin and make it right with him and not force him to be stuck with a pos stove .
Lowes Pros: Local.
Lowes Cons: Customer service.

Having sold appliances at Menards I can tell you that you will get the same response there as well. Once the appliances leave the store there is only a couple of days to report initial failure which is the only time the manufacturer will accept returns from the store. After that the manufacturer will repair the appliance under warranty and will not accept its return unless they can't repair it.
