Sounds like you learned a valuable lesson. Unless you have it in writing you don't have a leg to stand on. Anytime you are ordering a product or having work done get the details on a written sales contract.

I've purchased two items today. Receipt I received says Register to Win.... There is NO website to respond to www.lowes.com/survey. There is at least 20 pages offering how to reach this website but NO website leading to www.lowes.com/survey. This has happened before with the same result. I called the store and NOBODY could answer how to get on this website, but gave me an 800-445-6937 to call. They said to get on Yahoo or other search engines and it would come right up. Wrong AGAIN! Is this survey a scam or what? Loews is an excellent place to purchase material BUT this come-on smells.

Lowes - Bait and switch in Kansas City

I purchased online a 20 oz bottle of Goof Off and a couple of other items. When I made the purchase the website said there were 5 in stock at "my" sore on Boardwalk in KCN. They called me 30 minutes later to tell me my order was ready. When I got there, it was a 16 oz bottle. I went back to look for the 20 oz bottle but they only had 15 or so 16 oz. They certainly didn't sell 5 20 oz bottles in 30 min. Manager was rude to me so I refunded all items. My next letter is Missouri Attorney General to file complaint.

Lowes in Kansas City, Missouri - Price Hike/Gouge

I did a week's worth of research on a new washer becuase our older one stopped working. I found one at Lowes and it was 449. that was 2am and I saved it to my shopping cart and then went to bed to be sure I wanted it. At 10am the same day it was changed from 449 to 799. Neither price was a glych. It looked like they did it b/c the reviews were too good for the low price. There were 172 reviews 5 star. Most b/c of the low price. I am pissed. Do not buy from Lowes without checking all other places first. They were below other places on that one and now they are much higher. I think this is price gauging. they shouldn't be able to raise the price that much just because people liked it. Plus the only reason most were so happy to make a review was b/c of the great bang for the buck. Obviously they made enough money on it at the other price for it to sell that many and be fine.

It wasn't an ad, it was the actual price before. And I asked when we went in and the lady just awkwardly Smiled.

Now this washer is on sale for 100 more than it was before, so don't fall for the sale ad b/c other stores have it cheaper anyway. Hike it up a ton and then fool people into thinking they are getting a good deal. The back of the current ad shows them and they were regularly 450 less than 2 weeks ago. That is why I am pissed.

It was not on sale at 450. It was regular price and it changed online in my cart the same day.

Clarification. It went up to 699 online and up to 799 in store in Independence, MO.

Outrageous.

We needed to use a lowes card and a debit card so we sould have had to go in store anyway. Unbelieveable.

Lowes in Kansas City, Missouri - Rebate Fraud

On May 19, 2008 my husband and I bought a utility shed at the Olathe, KS location. It had a rebate form for $55.00, credit back for delivery. I filled out the receipt and mailed it the very next day. I checked the on line status of my rebate and it said there was no record of submission. I sent an email to the website and received an email from “Cyber Rep” asking for information that was on the receipt I had mailed in and said give it another 2 -3 weeks. I still have not received my money and it's been almost 3 months. That's false advertisement and fraud!

Did you follow up on the return email? Cyber Rep is the designation for people working on the email team, if you haven't received anything from us it's because either it was lost or damaged in the mail. The rep was asking for you to provide more information so they can do a more thorough search of our extensive records (the is close to a billion submissions in our database).

Assuming you followed the correct procedure when sending you rebate and your taking the initiative to try to clear up the issue with us, there should be no problem getting this fixed up.

Contrary to popular belief those of us working at the rebate center do not go out of our way to disqualify consumers, do you any idea how much easier it is when we can just say "Yea, I can get that resolved for you" than to have to sit and argue for 20 minutes about why we can't.
