As you are posting here I will assume that you can use the internet. Have you ever gone to Lowes.com and clicked on the military discount tab?

If you bother reading the terms of the discount you are requesting you will find that to doesn't apply to items that are already discounted.

You should be grateful when a store offers a discount program and take time to learn what the program offers. There are a lot of other professions equally deserving of a discount and they aren't offered one and you don't see them complaining.

My dad had a hardware store, I started installing carpet when I was 12, and I own a handful of rentals, so I know how to measure carpet. They measured a very simple 3-bedroom carpet layout. They were over by 44% on their square foot estimate!!!!!!! The store manager was unconcerned about this kind of screwing of the customer. You are wrong about $211 and hour for labor. The labor in your home is a small fraction of the installation charge.

They have to drive to the store to pick up the faucets before they drive to your home. The driving is done in a vehicle that has to be paid for in some way as well as the insurance, gas and maintenance for that vehicle. I'll bet they also used a number of tools that don't come free.

Then there is liability insurance and other business expenses the plumbers have to pay. On top of that, since you hired the plumbers through Lowes they add a hefty markup to what the plumbers get to pay for the time they spend in hiring the plumbers for you.

You should always inspect a natural product like granite that will have color variations before it is installed. If it didn’t match, why didn’t you refuse it rather than let them install it?

I see today Lowes is closing 51 stores maybe this is the reason. The store in St. George Ut had a table/mag rack on display , which the wife wanted after talking to the sales person thru his manager, none on stock and could not sell the display item. Closing stores....

Most stores won't sell the display if more stock is coming. There are several reasons for this.

If there is no display people won't know they sell it. Having a display, they may take an order for future stock coming in or the customer may return to buy it when new stock comes in. It also takes time to build a new display when new stock comes in. Time that stores that are thinly staffed don't have.

People often look over the displays closely and want discounts for any blemish they can find. Why sell it at a discount if you would just have to take time building a new one when fresh stock arrives in a few days.

Are you saying they didn't charge you for an extended warranty (service plan)? If they didn't charge you fro it, you didn't buy it, did you?

If they told you to contact the manufacturer it would have been under the manufacturers warranty anyway. The extended plan doesn't start until after the manufacturers warranty ends.

Huh?! Purchased was made on line from LOWE's. I did not purchase from a third party just to be delivered by Lowe's. Looks like it may have to do with the sales person comission. It makes it look like Carson City Lowe's employees hedge their commission against customer satisfaction And one more thing. We got a call on August 6th and were told that the item I ordered is badly damaged and it cannot be delivered. I cancelled the order. But now I cannot find this item at this price anywhere else. It is $100 more. So... because of the boondoggling jogb done by Lowe's I will now have to spend $107.60 more "Thank you" Lowe's. Atta boy!

You didn't purchase it from the store, you purchased it online. That is like buying it at one store and wanting it delivered by another. Things would have gone a lot smoother for you if you had actually gone to the store and made the purchase there.
