Lowes - Curtain Rod Review from Woodbury, New Jersey

Details
It's been 6 weeks since I placed my order for curtain rods online. We planned our move-in date around the delivery of this order. It's been three weeks since the estimated date of delivery and I still haven't received the rods. NO communication from lowes (email or calls with status update or tracking info). The only communication I've had with lowes is that which I have initiated and I've spent HOURS on the phone trying to get any information. It's been absurd. I would be damned if I ever order from lowes online again.

I went to Lowes and got a nail in my tire 2x in 2 weeks. I went back and saw nails in the parking lot. I reported it and they refused to submit it to their insurance company. In the meanwhile I had ordered something from them online and it qualified for FREE shipping according to all of their criteria but they said I had to pick it up. Then the wrong item was put aside. They luckily had another but it took time to find. Then I went to order another item online which also qualified technically but it would not allow it. I called and they tried to charge me $65.00 for shipping for a $30.00 item! OMG! Even though they said it was an IT issue (the item should qualify!) When I call they always tell me someone will get back to me in 24 hours and they do not! Hours lost.... it is a comedy of errors there.

I'm having the same problem - same location, but different subcontractors through Lowe's. No time management skills, no follow up, no communication, poor planning and scheduling.

Mine is a simple remodel. Wish I had read your review first. I too have gone to Lowe's corporate and the store manager. Thus far, the paying customer has been wrong in their eyes.

I have little faith that they will act accordingly, professionally, and do the right thing.

I do hope I am wrong; time will tell.

Medicine Cabinet Review

Custom ordered a medicine cabinet - when I went to pick it up only gave me one box- called went back and they gave me two more- I said it says one of four - which would only give me three boxes- they went in back again and finally came out with with last box. im lucky I noticed because when I called they said there were only three boxes.

LOWES ROUTE 9 S, MORGANVILLE NJ I just now came back from HOME DEPOT. 1. But before that I first went to LOWES, in Morganville on Rt. 9. There I waited patiently for about 10 minutes for three gentleman at the Lumbar Section to finish a conversation. 2. When I was finally attended to, I handed over a Stud, 2 x 3 - 96" and respectfully asked it to be cut at 49" for easy transportation. 3. When I saw the method of measurement, I asked the gentleman to please make sure the cut to be at exactly 49". 4. The Store Assistant said that he will cut it but cannot guarantee it to be 49' I was surprised and told him in Africa we are Metric but have the ability to cut wood precisely. 5. He then said that is why America is a super power and Africa not. I did not understand his point and did not respond but took the two pieces he handed me. 6. On the bench there was a Measuring Tape and I discovered the cutoff piece to be 49 3/4" 7. I said that now it is not what I wanted and not usable - he said that I am cursing. Which I did not, but thanked him for nothing and walked to the Cashier. 8. I decided to go to Home Depot and told the Lady at the door to please keep the lumber. Lowes in Newark, New Jersey - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/DELIVERY

I have never in my life had a worse horrific experience with customer service/delivery service! The workers are an incompetent, rude bunch who are busy doing everything BUT their jobs. Every call I made to customer service, especially the store located in Jersey City, was answered and handled unprofessionally. They are too busy chatting and laughing with their coworkers to answer a phone call properly. They place you on a hold for so long you are forced to hang up and call back (and it's not because they're busy). I kindly informed many of them that my business closes at exactly 6pm and they "promised" it would get to me by before then. The next day I called to reschedule because I never got my shipment and I was told they don't know where their trucks are but they did come at 7pm. Then when I asked what time approximately would they arrive today, once again I was told they don't know where the trucks are. Do they know anything???? I have ordered $10,000+ worth of items from Lowe's. Never. again.

Lowes - Installation Review from Swedesboro, New Jersey

I purchased carpet/runner for my new home and it was to be installed in two separate visits. The carpet was installed without issue however the runner installation has become a DISASTER. The 3rd party installers called my husband to schedule installation for Thurs June 11 from 2-5pm. By 3 pm no one had arrived and my husband called the installers and they were closed. At 5 pm my husband called Lowes and was told he would be called back. When he was called back he was told they were an hour late (would be there at 6pm). No one called to tell us this before and we had to pick up our kids from school so could not wait for the installers. My husband is in sales so if he is not working he is not making money and he took off 3 hours to sit and wait as schedules for the installers who never called to say they were late. I came home early from work (and also had to lose money for leaving early to deal with this and get my kids), and spent 45 minutes trying to speak to someone at Lowes to find out what was going on. I was disconnected 3x before I spoke to a person. When I finally spoke to someone I was told that the installers were now running even later and could be there 6:45. I was asked what solution was acceptable and I told them that I was not willing to have my husband wait another 3 hours for installers and that I would need someone to come back with a tighter window and I would want compensation for my time wasted. I was told that someone from the install co. would call me the very next day at 8am (the owner) to reschedule and to offer me compensation. The next day (today) as promised, the owner called me and tried to reschedule for today (Fri), barely apologized for the fact that his installers were running 3 hours late and tried to tell me that they did call to say they were late. Which is a LIE. Neither my husband or I heard from anyone about anything and would not have known they were even late if we hadn't called ourselves. And then of course, he did not offer compensation. I called Lowes immediately and spoke to an assistant Mgr who attempted to resolve this and I then received more calls from install trying to schedule today which I declined and still no offer from anyone for compensation. I then received another call from a different Lowes asst mgr to tell me the best they can do is offer a measly $100 cash payout for my time. My runner was $800!. End result I cancelled the runner. This is too much frustration and too much time wasted. I don't want that lying install co back in my house after the rude treatment I received, nor do I want to do business with Lowes flooring any longer. The time my husband and I wasted dealing with this nonsense yesterday and today is worth more than $100... LOWE'S... SHAME ON YOU!
